Anyone else not have their Walmart.com orders ship? They had an estimated delivery date of 11/25. Last night I got a text that they won’t be arriving on time and now the orders just have a status of delayed.
Yeah.. I made two separate orders on Monday from Walmart that were to be delivered from a courier. I made another order on Thursday.

The order on Thursday was delivered on Friday. The orders I placed on Monday had said expected delivery Friday from the very first day, but once around 8:00 or 9:00 rolled around on Friday night it said that they were delayed and then have been just sitting in limbo ever since.

I went up to the store on Friday just to see what things looked like and they had many copies of all of the items I ordered on Monday so I assumed maybe it was still coming.

I went back on Saturday but they had sold out of most of the items I ordered but they did have one or two so I'm guessing that they just decided to hold those items for the floor instead of fulfilling customer orders almost a week beforehand and I have to wait for replenishment from Warehouse or something.

All I know is if they had shipped it out regular posts on Monday it would have already been here so it is pretty frustrating. but not a big deal the reason I didn't buy them when I was there and cancel the order is because I had an online coupon so I didn't want to lose the savings. I also don't need to play them right away so I'm not in a hurry but it is kind of irritating.

If Gamestop wants to moronically gut copies, fine, that's their prerogative. But don't sell them as new. Because they aren't new.

Their stupid logic is "It's still new because the discs have never been inside a console" which in itself is sometimes a lie, because I know people who've worked at Gamestop who take those gutted copies home and play them. But if they arbitrarily decide an opened game is "new" that has fingerprint smudges all over it. That's like expecting a customer to be satisfied with a pizza that someone picked at with their fingers and claiming it's good and fresh because no one took a bite out of it yet.

And by the way, the irony is, they have a return policy that says you can't return opened games for a refund. How does one not see the hypocrisy in that. I thought games were still "brand new" if they haven't been inserted in a console, yet they won't accept back opened games for a refund even if you claim it hasn't been inserted in a console. They don't even follow their own logic when it doesn't benefit them monetarily.
I got into a debate with a GS employee several years ago about this. I wanted to buy a game and I refused it bc they wanted to sell me an opened “new” game. I told him it’s not new as not only was it opened, but there were clearly fingerprints on the disc. He told me to think of it like a car. He was like, have you ever bought a new car with zero miles on it? Of course not. So, it’s “new” bc it wasn’t “pre-owned”. I told him that this isn’t a car and it isn’t new then I just left. Now, IF I shop at at GS I say “do you have a copy of whatever still in the plastic?” I don’t even risk GS online unless it’s a preorder.

Anytime that someone tries to use the new car thing with me my response to them is that they obviously never ordered a new car. I have ordered 2 cars in my life (so far) built to my specs (choice of options/color/etc). I was present for both of them when they were delivered to the dealership off of the car hauler. I assisted with the removal of the shipping protective items such as shrink wrap, foam blocks, tape, and plastic seat covers. It was essentially like receiving the car "factory sealed" which is how I expect to receive any new item including games.

I think I am done with purchases for Black Friday. Got a few games during the early deals and a couple yesterday. Pretty lackluster sales but that is probably good for me.
Same for me. My game purchasing has dropped significantly this year. And with fewer and fewer physical discs coming out (and ones that have the whole games on them), I figure that number will continue to drop year to year now. Will never buy a digital game or dlc.

Still haven't picked up a Switch. May be next year. Only games I care for on it are Mario Odyssey and Luigi's Mansion 3. Will eventually get one to play those games.

Yeah my game haul was Disgaea 6 PS5, Yurukill PS5 along with Persona 5 Royal PS5. I still haven't beaten Persona 5 and somehow almost played the first one to completion years ago. I just am going to start over. Overall nothing too much for me. I'll still buy niche games that go cheaper, and have been cutting back those although I have a bad habit of buying VNs and I'm juggling way too many of those at a time.

What is this Rakuten $40 cashback and what retailer u gotta buy from? Still debating whether I should buy saints row steal edition since the notorious edition isn’t instock anymore and yes I know I heard the game isn’t that good. Debating on session skate too but heard it’s difficult if u don’t skate irl lol

Surprisingly, I ended up buying more this BF than in the last ten years, but not because the deals were amazing or anything. I haven't been really buying games the last 5-10 years, so there were a lot of current gen titles at pretty low prices I haven't played yet (GoW, Ghost of Tsushima, Spiderman GOTY, that kind of thing). As far as the Switch, that's actually what I mostly picked up for. I finally got on in January and became a bit enamored with it. A few are (mostly) for my daughter, but I ended up picking up some things I've been wanting for a while, but hadn't quite pulled the trigger on (Odyssey, Link Awakening remake, Luigi's Mansion, Bravely Default II, etc), especially because of those various Walmart $10 off codes I was able to use to help bring them down a little more to my impulse range. I love the Switch. It has its faults, but as far as the hardware/usability, I fell in love.

I really didn't think I got all that much until I look back at the little list I made.

I agree about DLC/Digital - I rarely ever buy anything digital. If I do, it has to be almost free. I picked up "This War of Mine", for example, for 3 dollars. I ended up really liking that game and would like to have a physical copy. But I'd never consider buying something like BotW/Odyssey/etc on digital.

How many moving parts does a car have? How many moving parts does a disc have? I usually don't respond with both.

Very nice. Smells new!

It's a cash back site. There are a lot of different stores and Gamestop is currently 15 or 20% cash back. The retailers will let you know what qualifies for cash back and how much it is on their page. You can use your phone app or go to the website. Just make sure if you use the webiste to turn the ad blocker off so the site can register your purchase. We were asked to stop posting referral links so pm me for mine if you want.

I made it to the final boss in Persona 5 when it first came out but didn't finish for reasons lost to time. Been thinking about playing Royal on Game Pass but it's such a long game.

Anyway, this year's sales have been just...boring. Only picked up Sonic Frontiers PS5 from WalMart and that was for $39 a few weeks before Black Friday. Maybe Cyber Monday will have something exciting...but I doubt it.

I just simply bought a $50 gift card for a retailer from their gift card shop

That's why I try to avoid "deals" that involve gift cards for retailers I don't care for. Stuff like Dell and Kohls cash. You usually end up either spending more money than you wanted to get something that you will actually use, or use the credit you get for something you didn't really want.

My Black Friday was a success. Spent $0, between modern warfare 2 and ragnorak I don’t need nor want anything else . All these deals were junk anyways

My double dip didn’t work this month, we the pound and dash supposed to be typed? Can’t remember.
Same thing was happening to me. It kept saying that the code could not be used no matter what i had in the cart. You don't need the pound, but you do need the dash. Not sure if this will work for you, but using Chrome I pasted the code without the dash and hit submit, then pasted it again but this time I put the dash and it worked. Had to refresh the cart for the discount to show.

I was trying to figure it out too. Basically, somebody gives you a referral link, and then I just clicked it, installed Rakuten's chrome extension and clicked their link to GameStop's site. Make sure whatever you buy your pre tax total is $40+ and that the extension is enabled when you hit buy (that part may not even be necessary though).

I bought Lego Stars wars Skywalker saga, Subnautica below zero And nier automata from GameStop and got confirmation within the hour that I hit the $40 and was getting reimbursed.

Also, here is my Rakuten referral link if anybody wants to get the $40 and would be so kind as to use mine:

Given that kohls cash typically only works on clothing and that's primarily what they sell I'm not sure what you were expecting.

Additionally kohls cash isn't a gift card it's more of a coupon that expires very quickly typically a week after the week you got it at.

Welp, Cyber Monday came and went out like a wet shart.

I did just find my very first item of any note however though. The Columbia Classics 4K UHD collection vol.3 is $71.99 on Amazon.
It does seem pretty non-existent. I got a few things from Best buy but I'm not sure if those prices were already alive from Black Friday or for Cyber Monday but I don't care either way, a few older PS4 titles.

I was hoping that some of the out-of-stock items at Amazon would repopulate for Cyber Monday but no luck. Oh well.

My experience is that Cyber Monday is incredibly overrated and driven by media hype. I can count on one hand the # of deals I've found in my life on Cyber Monday that were better than Black Friday deals. It's usually the same items at the same price or slightly higher. I'll never understand the hype behind it.

Pretty much the only exclusions for Kohl’s cash are Sephora and gift cards. If you know what you’re doing, it can be a good deal.

Well they delivered the Friday order today. At least they put it in a bag since it rained yesterday and the door mat they left it on was still wet. The order I made on Wednesday is still in delayed limbo.

I bought two games (Demon's Souls and Tsushima) and have already put a good chunk of time into both so good value there. Now to wait for my new disc golf discs (each one is cheap but it is so easy to stockpile and spend a lot) so I can say I've used everything I bought.

I have been checking it a few times every now and then because I'm also waiting to fulfill the Walmart plus $10 coupon, and I have an item sold and shipped by Walmart now marked as shipped but it doesn't mark it so in the $10 off promo in the Walmart plus section yet not sure why because that says that's the condition to fulfill. I'll give it until tomorrow and then I'll ask them I was hoping to get that discount while stuff was still marked down.

But because of your post I thought to check again and now they are suddenly marked as coming today though it is a little late it's still possible I guess but that's better than delayed, but we will see if they end up showing up.

Edit: just as soon as I post this I got a text saying that it was on the way right now so I guess it's coming.

Edit 2: arrived.. way faster than Friday! Whew. And the $10 magically populated as well. Yay.

Video game consoles are excluded as well iirc, along with the charity items. Though occasionally you can get kohls cash from purchasing them.

Honey extension being useful today. Notified me that nfs unbound kidnapper edition for ps5 at Walmart dropped to $70. Also senran kagura at the seams edition is $30 at Amazon for those interested. Still debating on Akibastrip 10th edition. Nvm the graphics and gameplay ain’t it for me

Trying to finish up shopping on cyber Monday. I think I used Walmart coupons last year like HOLIDAY10, WOWFRESH, PAYPAL10, TRIPLE 20, TRIPLE10 which no longer work for me unless I make a new account

Mine went from "preparing for shipment" yesterday to "awaiting product availability" today, sooo...no clue about myself.

That game keeps me occupied for most flights as it's just so addicting. Best advice I learned was feed your survivors on odd days so you can keep track easily plus ration properly. Oh and have Roman do your dirty work for killing badguys. He can take the stress plus one-shot with sneak attacks from an axe.

As for my BF. . .I slept in because nothing was going on. Went out later, got our tree from a farm, went out shopping after dropping it off and bought absolutely nothing. Put that money towards dinner at our favorite spot and just gamed all weekend after. Did pick up Banners of Ruin and Disco Elysium on Steam because Xbox sales were fucking nowhere (they had more on sale during Halloween, wtf??) so my total was about $15 spent this year on the actual day. Everything else was presents for friends and family but that has been going for weeks now.

Basically, retailers aren't running doorbusters anymore and you can start shopping now right after Halloween. Prices won't change much and the few paltry deals you can find are usually unintentional promos. Digital sales continue to suck ass and this year was pretty bad for releases, so there's not much to choose from. Guess I'll just keep waiting for spring when games actually come out again. :???:

Well Walmart kind of stole black friday for me due to the additional $10 off coupon they offered. All prices below are with the $5 off each as I used a $10 off for each transaction of 2 games.

My haul from walmart
Animal Crossing $24
Fire emblem three hopes $30
Sonic Frontier PS5 $30
Mario and Sonic Olympics $20
Elden Ring $30
Dying Light PS5 $15
Temtem Switch $30
Lego Star wars Skywalker $24

Gamefly
Mario strikers $30

Also went a little crazy spending the rest of my gamestop credit on a new laptop. With the Rakuten Cashback it was too hard to pass up on. All in all it was a pretty good black Friday. Grabbed some other non gaming stuff that I won't bore anyone with.

GL on Skywalker saga alone with all those new games lol. We played it for a couple weeks and only got about 50% of the bricks to unlock stuff and finished maybe 4 of the 9 films. The game is MASSIVE.

For sure. All of that is going to take me until next black Friday more than likely.

Has anyone's copy of Digimon Survive from GameStop ship yet? For me, It's been sitting on " Prepare for shipment" for the last few days.

My copy arrived yesterday, along with a "new" copy of PS4 Power Rangers Battle For The Grid Super Edition opened in the Collectors Edition case. Can't start the replacement process because the order is stuck in "Preparing for Shipment." I also can't fix locally since my local store is out of the Super Edition.

I 100%'d it and it took a good 2-3 months of gameplay, I think. Lots of fun though.
