whoops #1 spot

the week beowulf was #1, AG was #3, into the wild was #7, rest were blu ray

but there was one week that was 65:35 blu, think last week was 78:22 blu

and isn't that how blu ray won weeks last year? with sales and BOGO
Tempting but I didn't really enjoy the 2nd one...
Same here. The second one was very disappointing. I'll be picking up just the first one.
and isn't that how blu ray won weeks last year? with sales and BOGO
There were only sales in the last few months of the year, and other than Transformers week, it didn't need them to win each week.

oh yea i jsut meant certain weeks

but just tried out the 2.0 features on saw 4

there's only one thing up there now from the director

i couldn't get my keyboard to work on the interface for some reason, so it was a pain registering with the ps3 controller

i'm trying to make my own blog now to try it out but its too much of a pain without a keyboard, can anyone get one to work?

everything loaded very quick too

You're probably one of the first in the world to do it.
Post a blog, be a pioneer.

(what's the date of the director's blog?)

i ended up just making a random clip with a text box over the guy saying something. its annoying cause you have to use the red button a lot, but i'm using a ps3 controller not a remote so i have to keep bringing up that menu then hitting red button

i uploaded it, but it doesn't appear in the list yet, maybe there's some approval thing? the entire community upload thing was blank

the directors clip was from 12/20/07

oh yea forgot to mention, after i updated the screen where it says do you want to enable the bd+ features for this disk, it froze

couldn't move the cursor and had to reset the ps3

second time it went through fine

anyone else have that happen?

Damn...was really hoping on Cloverfield next month...now I gotta debate on wheter to get the DVD now and get the Blu-Ray later or just wait...

Maybe I'll just rent it from XBLM.
I WANT Bogo on Hitman, Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium, 30 days of night, We own the night, Invasion!!!
Soon Please!

they fixed the molog feature on saw 4 so now you can add stuff, last night it was broken why i couldn't see what i uploaded

the "alternate" version of i am legend is such a rip off. a few scenes are longer so the ending makes more sense and they added one scene and changed the ending. why not just have deleted scenes/alternate ending? i guess they thought this would sell more, but its pretty stupid.

Lost Highway is finally (in the US, anyway) out on DVD...have any of you well-informed individuals heard anything about a BD release, or should I snag the DVD now that I've got the opportunity?

IIRC, I read on AVS forums that Paramount realize that many are upset with them for switching over, so they are taking their time to make sure they do their blu-rays right, and the BDA is trying to get their plants up to speed to handle the extra load of Paramount releasing on Blu-ray.

I haven't heard anything on Universal.

i tried the molog feature of saw 4 last night as well... nice to finally see bd go online..

the feature itself though is nothing special.. i think their were like 3 videos up last night plus 1 from the saw director. Its basically clips take from the movie with added text bubbles here and there..

Thanks for the update.

Edit: Amazon.com has a B-Movie for 9.95
The Curse Of King Tuts Tomb: The Complete Miniseries
Wow...

So I'm assuming that the PQ and AQ isn't the greatest on those titles...not that I was looking to buy any.
Probably not, though as long as it's slightly better than DVD, it'll be worth a look.

I think the DVD pricing on Beer League is $6.95 for the DVD and $9.95 for the BR, as an example.
Nice rounding up :p

Really its closer to 1 in 20 unforunately, 5% being 1 in 20
Ooops, I should have made it more clear.

Of NCFOM only, it was 1 in 10 BD to DVD.
9.8% = BD.

Over all, DVD vs BD is 94:6.
I enjoyed Unbreakable.
God, yes. M. Night's best movie, IMHO. I need.

Thanks for the info, dallow.
Hmmm...Unbreakable was good but I can't personally wait for Signs this summer.
I fucking adored that movie.

When is Beowulf for BR due?

I want to know if it's coming out in Blu-Ray with MORE/BETTER features (Maybe 3D version) or nothing different from HD DVD version?

I picked up Beer League just because it was cheap and in my gold box. I went in expecting the worst, and while it wasn't good there were a few laughs in the flick. I have definitely seen some DVD's with a better PQ though.

beer league, some scenes were really crisp and nice looking, but most of the movie had a lot of noise and didn't look too nice, prolly like 3/5 on HDD scale

the audio tho i think was 2.0, the side speakers were way too low, had to put my ear up to the speaker to hear anything

thought something got loose, but it was just the movie
