Squidbillies is hella funny. In a stupid, "It's late, I'm really drunk/high" sort of way.
I had really high hopes for it when they first started pitching it -- all the hype about it being from "the creators of ATHF" had me believing it'd be good in a "What the fuck just happened? I dunno, but it was wicked funny." kind of way. Then I tried to watch it a few times... and I just couldn't do it.
Are there any rules posted for the OTTs?
1st Rule of OTT - Do not Talk about OTT
2nd Rule of OTT - Do not talk about OTT
3rd Rule of OTT - Do not mention the Moldy Boner OTT

...

that (and no NSFW images) seems to about cover it.

You should have kept it going ...

"When someone says 'stop' or goes limp, the OTT is over" (we have had mercy kills before)

"One OTT at a time, fellas"

"OTTs go on as long as they have to"

Blade did nothing but report Brak's posts, like 4 or 5 in a row. I decided it was enough.

It was a 3-month old thread that was bumped, which is a little too old for bumping. :oldman: Rabbit made a new one in its place, which picked up where the old one left off.

You're not delete-worthy.

See answer above. People report posts instead of fighting battles they started.
whata pussy. You should have left it open.
Then you, my friend, just don't get it.
I get it, i just don't like it.
South Park was great last night. Lots o' topics:

South Park was great. I loved the big wheel chase scene.

Say what? You're not supposed to negotiate with terrorists! Give Blade a 24 hour ban for abusing the report system and reopen the thread, I say.

I loved the rip on Fox's drama shows at the end.
Uh, no.

Thanks for playing.
Just for reference, are your actions there an homage to that show's subject matter?
And now I have FINALLY discovered the joy of Yoshi's Island.
Same here :) might get a few levels in between now and finals, but it's the first game i'll beat over the summer.

I just douched out almost 600 SpyWare shits off of this work computer. I also had to uninstall "CursorZone" and some bullshit search shit from the browser toolbar.

Man, people are fuckin' stupid.
Same here :) might get a few levels in between now and finals, but it's the first game i'll beat over the summer.
You'll beat it before then if you put effort into it.

Speaking of beating, I should finish off FFIV...
I'm this way with The Daily Show... at least since Jon Stewart started hosting it.
Craig Kilborn licks balls. I am so glad he is no longer on TV
Craig Kilborn licks balls. I am so glad he is no longer on TV
To each his own.

On a different note, I'm assuming you guys are talking about Yoshi's Island now because you picked it up since it's been put out as PC? Any deals on the new PC GBA games this week?

Craig Kilborn was what made The Daily Show funny, in my opinion. I like Stewart and all, but it gets a little trite when he giggles manically at his own jokes.

Kilborn's deadpan act was perfectly executed, and went hand-in-hand with the rest of the show.

I don't know that that's an act. I've never seen him in any other character.
I don't know that that's an act. I've never seen him in any other character.
He did it less on his late night talk show, and didn't do it at all when he was on ESPN (or whatever that was...).

I remember my grandpa, who thought the old Daily Show was a real news program, once called Kilborn "a cocky ratbastard". My grandpa fell for it hook, line and sinker. :O

I think we all remember that it's the audience that makes the Daily show. it absolutely sucked without an audience. With no audience you could put dave chapelle on the Daily Show and it wouldn't be funny.

Why? So people at home know when to laugh..?

(that's why canned-laughter was created, afterall; and why Police Squad! was taken off the air)

Never saw it when Kilborn was on there. But I do like Stewart. It's obvious that everything he does is an act. If Kilborn was deadpan, Stewart is the complete opposite, and he knows that he is supposed to be like that. He's aware of what he's portraying, and he plays off of that.

Colbert displays that sort of thing at times, but only during interviews with guests that sort of leave his control. If his guest makes a really funny comment or something and Colbert doesn't expect it, he'll start laughing and chatting with them in a far more real sense. Otherwise he plays off this "I've got big balls" straightforward power deadpan attitude, which can get immensly tiresome. The difference between him and Kilborn is that Colbert is hugely arrogant. Hugely. But it's all an act, that much I know.

Still, knowing it's an act doesnt' really get rid of the sourness you get when you watch him for extended periods.

I know he's meant to be the direct opposite of Stewart, but at times it gets way too heavy handed.

I enjoy Daily Show much more than Report, but both are entertaining.
I actually stopped watching The Daily Show regularly once Stewart took over.
Same here.

And for similar reasons, this is probably why I like the Colbert Report more than I do The Daily Show.

Hey...what was the very first reality tv show? The one that started the flood of 1 million and counting?

Was it survivor?

You're off by a decade: The Real World.

So i'm going to sit down and watch the movie "Waiting" while I enjoy my Chicken marinated in Thai Sauce and Rice A Roni Garlic Chicken.

Yes.

The very beginning of the daily show didn't have an audience. And it was horrible.
Yes.

It was probably a creative choice of, "Hey, news program don't have audiences..."

Then a bold writer pointed out that they weren't a news program.
You're off by a decade: The Real World.
You are right. Since i have tried to stricken all memories of MTV that doesnt invovle The Max, The Head or Aeon Flux i completely forgot about that show.

It wasnt have bad now that i think about it. God i fucking hate MTV.

I talked the that guy who mentioned deer penis. I wonder if that was a Forrest Gump reference... apparently there's a Metal Gear reference somewhere in the game.

And, fuck; daylight savings time still has me fucked up.

Note to self: Stop posting in planetgamecube.com's forums.

I'm loving it. I gave us enough time to finish all of todays work and there is still some light outside.

Aww damn why did I have to look at the Ebay prices for MGS3 S LE and the saga disc. Some are going for as high as $200 and mine's sitting on the shelf still sealed... What to do? WHAT TO DO!?!?!?

Doesn't the Internet as a whole, though?

I mean, if you average out all of the sites, that's probably about right for the entire shebang...

Play it. PLAY IT!
sell sell sell!
I know that's what the sensible part of me says. Then again, the MGS megafan in me reminds me that its something I won't be able to get again.

Edit- My check book and credit card bills are voting for sell also.

only if I transfer all the effort going into my studies ;-)

Play it. You can get more money eventually, but it seems as though this you won't get again.

Just go for it. :]

On the average, any crevice humanity pervades rots to the core and catches on fire, only to catch on fire a second time.

But there are always agents within that crevice that are especially virulent, and the PGC forums are of the ripest variety.

You can hear the stupid when you go there.

I got lucky. I had a preorder for the LE but then decided to cancel it. But then just a few weeks before the release I preordered it again on a sudden urge. I'm glad I did.

In other news, I just got my first eagle in Mario Golf Advance. I'm so giddy with excitement right now :bouncy:

And how would you compare these denizens to those of another black pit... say... GameFAQs forums, for instance? :whistle2:#

I got lucky myself. I went to Gamecrazy when I found out that Gamestop and EBgames stopped taking preorders and despite the guy telling me that they stopped taking preorders, I still was able to preorder it and got it on release day.

GameFAQs level of stupid can warp reality enough to create their own gravity, dragging planets towards a globular fatpile dense enough to actually bounce the goddamn planet back into orbit.

PGC forum goers have this same ability. But thankfully they'd just get squished under the mighty weight.

In short, they both deserve the sheer force of my wang rocketing toward them on a path to oblivion.

I've bumped it all the way up on my to play list, so right after I finish Star Ocean. It feels like I've been playing Star Ocean for months without getting anywhere, though :headache:
