That is a good question, I know once you login to the game you can choose what to redeem in the social menu. I would suggest contacting 2k support about it

I don't like how they're handling Shift codes for BL3. They expire within a few hours of being posted. There was one earlier today that ended after only two hours (I didn't see it until four hours after being posted). They should make them valid for at least a day so everyone has a chance to see and redeem them.

That is the reason I don't post the Golden Key codes in the thread since they are only good for a few hours or like today's code was 1 hour.

I definitely redeemed golden key codes for BL3 but they're not showing up in-game, even after checking social for mail (which we didn't learn about until fucking level 10, AFTER THE DELUXE CONTENT WAS RELEVANT; those shitters. . .). What's the deal here?
