I can't say it's reliable but it's the only purple relic I've seen so far. Me and my nephew were playing and he got a purple relic and I got a blue as a reward. I forget the mission *mission is called Arms Dealing* but it was in highlands and it was a timed mission for Dr. Zed. You had to drive around to a bunch of mail boxes in the allotted time and bring it back to him in the town.

Looks like I missed the codes last night and this morning!
 
So am having a blast on this game my arsenal is to be envied with some very cool friends and veterans of playing Borderlands 1 with me nonstop.. legendary everything.

not letting me redeem the code - I've double triple checked and inputting the code twice. Even tried the ps3 code (on my xbox) just in case ;)
 
Anyone have any luck getting it to work? I can't even connect to my shift account so I can't even try to put the code in. I'm going to try a few more times here in the next 5 or so minutes...if it doesn't work..i'll try again in half an hour.
 
Well my main shift screen says new key at 2:04 9-30 but it never showed me getting it - never got a confirmation - always said can't redeem - so you guys might check that screen if haven't.

It also said on one of the times I just submitted - already submitted. Loading my char confirms - I think two keys? I coulda sworn I only had two and now have four - maybe I forgot though.

My key also just showed up in my inventory. Was never able to redeem it correctly.

@shotgunshine, yeah very mature and nice. Everyone was being very patient and understanding of the situation....
 
Couldn't even log into my account from 10 min before code release up until just now. Now I find the code he posted doesn't even work. I wasted an hour for this crap after missing out on all the others.

Not worth it for a damn golden key.
 
Got four keys this weekend, so I'm stoked. I'll probably use one as soon as I level to 25 and save the rest. I figure they'll give out more or something later on.
 
Only have Lost Treasure and the last three rounds of Hyperion Slaughter to finish, then I'm done with everything on PT1 except Terramorphous. Only level 34 atm.
 
So here's a spoilery story question:
Why doesn't Roland (or Jack or Angel for that matter) just respawn at a New-U station after he dies? Did they make any attempt in-game to explain this? Just seems weird since respawning in Borderlands is incorporated into the in-game fiction (like Vita-Chambers in BioShock). Oh well.

I can understand Jack or Angel not being in the system, but not Roland.

Also Ryuukishi, I can help you with the last Circle of Slaughter if you need it. I'm Lv.41 at the present time. TVHM levels you up very quickly.
 
Following is in regards to doing all the level 1 challenges...


So I thought I was done with the level 1 challenges outside of Jenkins (who never seems to spawn for me! ugh.). I was wrong.

Killing 750 enemies at close range with a shotgun unlocks Shotgun Sniper, which you have to kill 10 enemies at long range with a shotgun.

Then you have to kill 200 enemies with rocket launcher splash damage, which unlocks a level 1 challenge of killing 5 people with direct rocket hits.

Heh. Oh well only 6 achievements to go...
 
Been casually gambling slots all day when I have had a chance to. I've started keeping track of the stats. I'm no statistician but I'll post the numbers here when I get a decent number of pulls. I will say I have pulled 906 times so far and just got a borderlands jackpot (orange slag smg!) at around the 900 mark.
 
I have yet to hit it. I have read maybe on the wiki that it's three piles of cash. I've probably pulled around 8k total - but only have a bit over 1k documented so far. Have yet to see anybody say how much they get from the three bells. I wonder if it's the same as the other non-three bells triple piles of cash - which I have gotten many times - and it's just a few hundred bucks at my level.

Also - someone at that link says they've gotten 3 bells 3 times so far but no triple eridium jackpot. Which seems very odd to me because the triple eridium jackpot I get pretty frequently - 4 in around 1k whereas I only got 1 Marcus in that same 1k (and the 1 triple borderland symbol).
 
Finally hit level 50 with my commando. Just need to bring town to Terra. Now the question is, who should I choose for my second character build.

I've pulled a ton and yet to get Marcus, Borderlands' symbols, or triple eridium. :cry:

I was pulling earlier and hit 2 Eridium Triple Stacks in about 100 to 150 pulls with multiple Double Stack Eridium. I also hit one Markus ( Purple Weapon ) and about 5 Leggs ( Blue Weapon ). Hit everything so far but the Borderlands Symbol and Trip Bells.

Cant wait to hit the Trip Borderlands!
 
I know he wasn't doing it for recognition or anything but I just want to say thanks to Rhett for giving me some pretty nice stuff yesterday.

For those of you that may have too many weapons that you have out leveled, maybe we can start up a recycle program so these sweet weapons and mods don't get sold to the vendor. Some poor little level 20 or so could utilize them. Imagine the smile on their face! Haha.
 
I figured out a pretty sweet gig-- I played my own TVHM game up until you reach Sanctuary, but then I've been playing the later missions in co-op games, without advancing my story, so I can always go back and farm Mamaril with his 100% spawn rate. In the course of a few minutes, he gave me a purple corrosive SMG, purple absorb shield, blue shotgun, and blue sniper rifle that all far outclassed the gear I already had. I'm level 39 right now.

Hopefully he can do it tomorrow and not Thursday so I don't miss any because of class. I let my curiosity rob me of 4 Gold Keys the other day at level 25. Got a bitchin' rifle, repeater, grenade mod but no shotguns.
 
Hit 50 a couple days ago on my zer0 and GF's Siren. Got our only legendary drop from a chubby. Aiming to farm Warrior, Terramorphous, the Bee Shield, an absorb shield, and the legendary turtle shield.

My last golden key gave me a purple sniper rifle with 2600 damage, and I'm critting 245k with it.
 
Good luck farming for CC. I can get a Bee to drop every half to full hour, but have been farming for hours to no avail. Glad to see Randy is still planning on giving away keys. I need one more for Gaige. I plan to save them all until campaign DLC shows up that way everyone is 50'd out.
