Update: Looks like they finally fixed the glitch. The sale is now working as intended, only on titles $19.99 and up.

I didn't see this posted, but Best Buy has an offer that nets you a $10 gift card if you buy 2 qualifying pre-owned titles. The offer is supposed to be for games 19.99 and up, but it's currently working for ALL pre-owned games, even those that are $4.99 each. This mistake might not last too long so get in asap

Actually if you go to the site you'll see every pre-owned game shows that offer and it works with it. I have 2 $4.99 games in my cart right now and a free $10GC. This is obviously a mistake on their part, but it is indeed working
 
Thanks OP! Picked up Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror and Logan's Shadow for $4 after gift card. Can't complain for being a premier member when i didn't meet the criteria to be one but still got the membership!
 
Are they all in-store pickup? Has anyone succesfully checked out with $10 GC on lower cost games and is it egift card or physical sent in the mail? If egift, is it autosent?

No they're not all in-store pick-up, and it's a physical gift card that's mailed to you. I just bought two games that were priced at $7.99 each.
 
Has anyone ever had a problem using a gift card to buy stuff from them. I did one order earlier and went to do another and the gift card i used earlier is now showing 0 bal even though I know it should still have plenty of cash on it. Do they put a hold on it or something until the order processes?

They don't put a hold on the card, I was able to do 2 seperate orders with the same giftcard. Maybe you had less than you thought?

Thanks OP. Grabbed a couple of $5 games. Can anyone vouch for the completeness of the used games? I thought I read somewhere that Best Buy required the original box/artwork. If thats true, have people had much luck getting the manuals too?

Found the same deal but my two copies of Army of Two closed out at $8 something. With Tax my order was $9.63. Basically just ordered a $10 gift card with two free games to add to my next trade in.

Also picked up Infernal and Namco Virtual Arcade with a $10 gift card for $17.33 shipped w/tax. So basically, $7.33 for both games. Those are for me to actually play though.

Yes, I had to do the 2nd group of games as a completely different order.

Best Buy does not require original artwork when they do trade-ins so it stands that some of what they sell won't have it. Although I've heard that they actually started to print artwork for their trade-ins that don't have them from employees but have also seen a fair share of artwork-less titles in store.

I.e. don't be surprised if your games don't have artwork.
 
fun deal, note that in most (all?) cases limited/collector's editions are the same used price as their counterparts. haven't come across any in stock online, but you can find some odd gems like like the AC1 LE or DMC4 SE for $10 or less if you find them in store or they mysteriously show up online. no idea what the quality will be though.

I just noticed my 10% off didn't apply. Guess I will get an adjustment at CS when I go to pick them up.

Well, online it says:

This pre-owned game is guaranteed to work and comes in the original box. Note that original documentation may not be included with this pre-owned item

I think one could fairly assume "original box" would include the artwork, otherwise who cares if it comes in the "original" plain box when a replacement box for that console (which technically wouldn't be the original) can easily be subbed in and look the same. Oh well, guess I'll have to wait and see.

I'm in the checkout screen and I have no $10 gift card, I have saw (xbox) 17.99 and watchmen the end is nigh part 1 and 2 (xbox) $7.99. Do you guys think the deal for cheaper games is dead?

After adding the games go here.

Add the giftcard to your cart, and it should be free.
 
So If I don't get the GC it cost me $1.10 to roll the dice. Just picked up and traded in the two copies of Army of Two for $9.60.

My unlocked status is still f-ed so couldn't get the adjustment for 10% off the original purchase. Called CS and they issued out some customer satisfaction points since it's my 3rd time calling about the issue.

Crossing my fingers on getting the GC.
 
My store pick up for army of two is also ready. I imagine in that case they'll be forced to honor the gift card since they already sold me the games as a packaged deal. Shipping... who knows. They may just be happy to get rid of most of these games... unaware that I plan to trade most of them right back.

I feel like Target hates CAG right now more than Best Buy...

FYI, Rock Band Metal Track Pack for PS3 also trades in for $3 base.

Let us know how that works out. The unlocked 10% didn't stack with last weeks used game deal (buy 2 get 25% off).

Yes, but image for a moment: Best Buy sells you a package deal, with one part of the package shipping the other part pick-up in store. You pick-up the in store part (aka pay for it) and then BB cancels the other half of the package deal stating that there was an error.

Best Buy would pretty much be forced to refund what you paid since basically they decided to alter the deal after you paid for it. I'll be disappointed but understand if they cancel my shipping-only orders before they ship, if they decide to cancel part of an order that was a package deal after I've paid... now that's a different story. Not to sound too entitled of course, I get that this is an error, just more or less stating how the in-store pick-up orders kind of binds them to the deal once it is paid for.

I case you missed my explanation, I had to call CS's 888# b/c I'm still not showing up in the system as unlocked. I could have done a return and rebuy with a manual adjustment, but CS issued out Customer Satisfaction points to apologize, so I will likely take the loss for the overall gain of the points.

I didn't try last week's deal.

It binds them to nothing. If you're unhappy with the purchase you can get a full refund.

Yeah I get that but there is also a chance they could deny the extra 10% and claim "double dipping". Was anyone else able to get the 10% off?
 
The GCU program simply states that you get 10% off on used games, it states no limitations. And it showed up automatically for me in the cart, nothing else had to be done (but keep in mind that my bestbuy.com account is tied to my RZ account).

And having already sold you half of the agreed upon deal, and having accepted your payment based on the terms of that sale for the product(s) in question, I do disagree that it kind of puts Best Buy in a situation where they are at least somewhat bound to honor their half. Like I said, they can totally cancelled all the orders that are straight up shipping, but they'll have a real headache on their hand trying to cancel orders that they have already exchanged goods for payment. You've already bought/paid for the items and have them in your possession based upon the sales terms Best Buy also agreed to. Having already received the items it makes it much trickier is really all I'm saying.
 
made another 5 orders for cousins dirt cheap ds games again

had nothing better to do today then make 20 orders for around 250 bucks just to see them all get cancelled tomorrow

You're the only one here constantly speculating that these will get cancelled. You're also the only person here that seems to have hoarded up on this deal (10 orders? really?) and thus increase the likelihood of it being cancelled. I'm personally not worried, but if it makes you feel better to do so, then by all means.

Agreed. On everything, but the need to say we need more bitching.

In anycase decided to get Need for Speed: Prostreet and Last Remnant for about $27 total after tax. Not a bad or amazing price, but with $10 gift card it certainly makes it worthwhile.

Read his post a few back - he made 20 orders!

I'm putting in a few. There are some good DS games still available for shipping. I was only able to make one in-store pickup order (they have very little in store).

My orders from before (the B2G1) all came complete so here's hoping these do too.

My 10% off worked by the way. It worked on the B2G1 a few weeks back but did not work on the 25% off deal last week.

too bad isnt it.. i know people who ordered 50+ copies of the amazon penny deal.. and who screw Target over today SO Too bad i made 20 orders nothing stopping others from doing it ...

I really dont care cause the games i picked up are games Im keeping and if i dont get the gift cards i know at least 17 of the 20 orders i ordered i be more then happy to pay 4.xx per game if they come complete ..

20 orders = 40 items at least 20 or 25 of them are extra xmas gifts and at least 10 of them are mine ALL MINE

if the gift cards come then BOOM extra gift for me .. if not at least all of my Extra XMAS shopping is done

and by the way I ordered nothing but Older DS and PSP games that probally few would even order here.. most of my friends do handheld systems only as well (since they are on the road a lot)

Didnt touch any ps3, wii or 360 games even though i could FLIP Them but why flip them when others can have them who want to PLAY THEM
