Target will pricematch Gamestop.com and you will still get the $50 giftcard, YMMV as some stores are starting to make it a 'giftcard or pricematch' thing if they've already been hit, online chat support might hook you up with a pricematch, you probably will only be able to pricematch 1 copy of each game. Do separate orders as I believe it's 1 card per transaction

Almost every game in the OP is cheaper elsewhere, Target is charging full msrp

 
Might have to give this a try with Odyssey and Madden 19 (for my nephew who wants it for Christmas). Bought both for $27 at Gamestop on Black Friday, both are $29 on walmart.com (and $29.99 on Gamestop.com) right now. Getting them for same price with a $50 gift card sure beats the BF deal which I can still return.

deal has been up for awhile, wouldn't be surprised if many stores already got hit and stopped doing it or corporate sent a memo of some kind out

Well, my latest order went through no problem. I did get charged $14 too much though as the CS person on Target.com messed up and forgot to adjust the tax but I just got off the phone and they fixed the mistake. I am tempted to buy even more games when I go to the store. This is such a great deal.

What did you say to get target.com to price match for you? I’ve talked to two reps and they won’t budge because the item is under a promo
 
Just came back from Target (second time today). I can't resist the hunt of what might be the best deal all year. Came back with a total of 6 more games for a total of $24 - lol!

  • Ordered via online Fifa 19 (x2 copies) since Amazon trade-in value is $25.25 (after I pay $4 plus tax, it is $21 in free money per copy - better than I could do at a casino).
  • Went to pick up games at customer service and she said she can't price match x2 of the same game - damn.
  • Went to back and got a copy of Madden 19, brought it up front and she price matched walmart.com. Cancelled the original online order (since you can't price match that way) and just re-rang in the order w/ those two games. Told me I can't get the gift card since you can't stack the promotions but "she would do it this one time". Sometimes being nice to their staff helps :) I used the $50 GC from earlier today. Total after tax: $8.50 for x1 Madden, x1 Fifa, x1 $50 GC.
  • After that transaction, I walked to the electronics department and asked the girl if she could price match x2 of the same title. She said "Sure, I don't see why not?". Nice and different than what customer service told me. I asked her for x4 copies of Fifa 19.
  • She wrings up the first two, price matches walmart.com, and gives me a gift card. I used the $50 GC from customer service Total after tax: $8.50 for x2 Fifa, x1 $50 GC.
  • She wrings up the next two, price matches walmart.com, and gives me a gift card. I used the $50 GC she just gave me. Total after tax: $8.50 for x2 Fifa, x1 $50 GC. Her co-worker is watching and wanting to get involved (likely to stop her), but doesn't. Whew.
  • She says to me after the transaction "Wow, that was a deal" or something to that effect. Damn right. "Thank you for your help!"
So... for the day I got: x6 Fifa 19, x2 Madden 19, x1 $50 Gift Card for a total of: $82 + tax on the games. Not too shabby.

Their excuse was that GameStop has its own promos going on for the holiday to which I replied that makes no sense you pricematch sale items all the time. I wasn’t going to argue though. Basically just bs. However on their app GameStop was like blocked out for some reason. Maybe because I live in a big city? Second target I went to wouldn’t let me do that deal at all. Onto the 3rd. Then 4th. If nothing at those. Going back to the first one and just doing it again.

The first couple of people told me no but after several reps I finally got one that was able to approve it no questions asked.
If they tell you no, don’t argue. From my experience they don’t budge, just end the chat and go to the next rep until you find one that will do it for you.
 
Madden seems to be really hot for getting rid of locally if you're not trying to profit directly on the games themselves, I put my copies of Madden 19 up on OfferUp at the price I paid after PM and in a couple minutes I had multiple messages looking to buy it

 
So they do the adjustment (online order) after you complete placing the order? That's what the rep had me do. Waiting to see the refund show up in a few days I guess on my red card balance...

Oddly the rep had the same name as me so it was like I was chatting with myself. 😁

I wish I had the time to put in for this. I only have one Target around and am afraid they will deny abusing this (as they should even though I wouldn't technically be doing anything wrong).

I'm just surprised the gift cards work right away. Normally there's a delay but that makes this very tempting to fund a Switch via Gamestop trade in.
 
Just traded in x4 copies (x2 per Amazon account max) of Fifa 19 for $25 each via Amazon. Paid $16 at Target for those games, got $100 in instant Amazon credit.

Why would I lie about this? Do what another poster suggested and just keep trying. Maybe I've just been lucky. I am about to leave to go to the store to pick up the games and I'll see if I can try this while I'm there.
 
For anyone that has done online order with store pickup already, has it really taken 4 hrs after pickup to get the promo email for the $50 card?

Bfv and madden19, ask for price mAtch first, don't mention gift card. the POS won't let them not give the gift card, my guy tried. Great way to recycle 10% off gift card from 2 weeks ago
 
- For anyone asking proof, I have posted up photos in two different posts.

- For the in-store pickup, I chose I would want it shipped to me. By choosing this, it won't process the GC until you pay for the order. When you get to customer service, ask to cancel the online order and redo the order at the customer service desk.

Order online. You will get it shipped to you. My GC will be emailed to me after I pick up the games at the store. PM is easy online. If you don't want to order online, call them.

TBH, I'm more worried about the refund amount not posting as the full amount already shows as pending on the redcard. I know returns take a few days to post but I'm curious if refunds take the same amount of time.

If I'm doing the math right, I'm supposed to be out a total of $7 after the gift card amount is factored in. Not to bad for Far Cry 5 (PS4) and Hasbro Game Night (switch)...one of which trades in for over $25 at Amazon...if you are so inclined. 😁

Check your order details on your account. It should be updated with the price you will be charged.

 
worked like a charm in the Milwaukee wi area. hit 2 targets and got fifa, madden, far cry, and ass creed. only thing is the kid at store #2 did raise an eyebrow and mention that he was going to check with his manager after i left because it "didnt seem quite right".
 
Got a guy to pricematch in chat. Ended up making two orders with him. He was so cool even gave me a $5 gift card. Thanks Sven if you’re reading this!
 
I did it through chat and I’m not getting the full refund for some reason. I got an email saying a refund of $18.92, and chat CS is saying $36. Neither of those are right. Wtf...
 
Placed an order online and had a rep price match Far Cry Xbox One and Battlefield V PS4 earlier today. So far my order has only price adjusted Far Cry which was for pickup. Hopefully Battlefield adjusts, as it should, when it finally ships.

Better hope they don't reject them, i sent in a sealed copy of a game and they rejected it today claiming the disc had scratches.

I mean it's not instant but it says within 4 hours. I just picked up my two orders from online at the store and bought Odyssey and another Far Cry. The guy walked me up to customer service and they price matched no problem and gave me the gift card. The girl said good deal. She was having some problems with GameStop so I just told her to use Walmart instead and it went through no problem.

So I picked up in store from an online order (that chat adjusted the price afterwards) and the email I got with the final price charged was finally correct. Also got an email with the $50 gift card at the same time.

Took about 15-20 minutes after pickup to get the two emails.
