CAG Arcade Stick Thread II: World Warrior

Gotta agree with LostRoad. Just because an octagon doesn't fit your playing style, that doesn't mean it won't benefit other people.

Never owned an optical stick, myself.
 
Sticks on sale and I can't make a decision , and time is of the essence (at amazon at least). SF4 TE sticks on sale , but don't know if I want to spend the money to get one for both systems. Leaving me the option of getting the TE stick for 1 system and perhaps a cheaper stick for the other. Another option would be the gameshark deal with the bogo regular arcade sticks. The hitch with that is since the BOGO is for the same system , the only way that would work is to trade one with someone else (if anyone is interested to do a deal like that.

Of course the last option is to just get 1 TE stick for one of the systems and just get all my fighters for that system , but that seems like the boring (although cheapest) choice.

Any suggestions?

Depending on your electronic skills. You could get a 360 TE and do a dual mod. Find the DIY on SRK.

Nah I dont own one personally, but most of the marvel players have them here.

I have no real electronic skills.:lol: All I would end up doing is most likely waste a good arcade stick and $100.

Yeah that's the reason I went ahead and ordered two. Replacing my old happs with these.
 
man i knew i should have waited for all these deals on sticks. earlier this year when SE sticks came back in stock I ended up grabbing 2 for $160, but I barely used 1 of them and now there 2 for $80..how unlucky. at least I finally got a TE for a good price of $100 coming from amazon
 
I would go with neither.

But if I had to choose one, it'd be the SE Mad Catz one. IMO, out the box, they both need to be modded. But that's just me. Other people are fine with them.

Ok. Thanks. I'm new to using fighting sticks and don't want to spend too much on one. Does the Mad Catz one break easily? I've had bad experience with Mad Catz products.

Naw, these particular madcatz products are actually good. You'll have much better luck with the SE than the EX2. ;)

... holy crap, the Hori Real Arcade PRO EX-SE is down to $90 from Amazon. Way to make me feel even worse for importing one for over $200 back when I thought they'd never make another batch after the super-limited Japan-only run =/
 
I would but I think I might wait for those new Hori's. The Pro V and Taito ones looks sick. Unless you guys are still working on the stick to rule them all.

I live in Vegas. How do I get admission to CES? I always wanted to go to some of the conventions here. Especially the Porn ones, haha.
 
Hope you finally got a license to do a wireless 360 stick so you'll stop acting jealous of the Hori. ;)

Also an actual Bluetooth Playstation 3 stick would rock. Nobody likes that USB dongle BS.

I'm sure this has been asked before, and I apologize, but is there a good chance that the Round 2 TE will bump the price of the original one down a good amount?

How large of an amount are we talking here. It will undoubtedly bump the price down.

Sometime next year for 360, in Spring.

FYI guys, I'm hearing from the big H that these things are going to be very limited. They are NOT replacing the current HRAP line, so if you want one, preorder one now. Or wait like everyone else will have to.

Quick questions: how easy is it to dual-mod a 360 TE? How about 360 Tekken wireless? How much does it cost?

Also.. did you say Bluetooth stick uraizen? Hm... maybe I can control Brickbreaker on my Blackberry with it? :lol:

I cannot wait for more info on the TvC stick. If it's as mod-friendly as the PS3 SE stick, I'll be taking one home with the game and modding in a Sanwa stick and some Seimitsu clear buttons.
