My GG layout was for the default control pad layout. I'm so used to playing it on a pad that I haven't changed.

Also, lol at the big yellow respect button.
Ahh real monsters was awesome

so was doug and rocko's modern life

word
Don't forget Ren and Stimpy! Even the first few seasons of Rugrats weren't bad.

I want a stick with Inside Out Boy on it. That would inspire fear and respect from opponents.

look around you, there are many things to see

that sum would say... could never be.

These things I know, it's true and I will tell you so.

they are there to see, if you believe.

Trolls and wizards and fairy kings, birds that talk and fish that sing.

And if your heart is true then you will find them too.

for every dream and wish and happy home,

you will find the kingdom of... the GNOME!!

7mm nut drivers make that shit so much EASIER.

I hated modding sticks for ppl without having that... it's just so annoying.

im looking to purchase an agetec arcade stick for the dreamcast send me a pm or send me a message on aim (subzerofl) if you want to make some money.

I've been in contact with the company making the REAL converter, they have started production again. No eta on availability as of yet though.

BTW, to anyone who's curious, the VSHG works fine on SC4, my friend was able to do CFs and taunt cancels fine.

My HRAP3 definitely got here today. Because I have the box sitting here. Actually, it probably came a few days ago, but I wasn't here at the time. But now I am, and I have it. I wanna see how solid the stick feels, but I'm still holding off on using it until my parts get here and I send it out to akuma.

Alright, I pulled that shit outta the box and damn does it look nice. I pressed the buttons, and they definitely feel more solid than the Tekken stick's buttons. Though that's irrelevant for me since I'm getting rid of those.

But what about the stick? Yes. That better be spot on.

So I tried that shit.

Perfect.

The thing I couldn't freakin' stand about the Tekken stick's errr. stick... is that it felt so arbitrary... it was difficult to tell whether I was hitting a direction or what. But with this Sanwa stick, I just knew exactly what I was doing. That's what I wanted. So yeah, I already feel this has been a worthwhile investment, even without playing games yet.
Chac getting his first taste of real quality. Now you won't be able to use junk sticks anymore. ;)
Yeah, I tried using the Tekken stick real quick just to see if I was crazy, and it really does feel completely imprecise by comparison. I had no idea the difference would be this dramatic.

It is. And that's why I sold my Tekken stick. I probably should've kept it, but it looked like a pain in the ass to replace the stick.

I got my HRAP3 in a few days ago. It's changed my view on stick quality for sure. The joystick is great and I really like the feel and responsiveness of the buttons so I plan on leaving it stock until the ball and/or buttons get dirty. When that happens, I'm going to put on a lime green balltop and buttons.

installed sanwa buttons on my HRAP! yeah!

tested it out on SFA3 and lost against the CPU! boo! i totally noobed out the ryu infinite though.

Yeah, I'd like to blow 100+ bucks on a stick! But, I have to pay rent in the next couple of days and then buy my books for school (330 bucks, which isn't that bad actually since last quarters books cost almost 600). So I'm out all the money I've been able to save up this last span of time in the next couple of weeks -_-

Ah... fuck this shit. I gotta try playing somethnig with the HRAP. I had no idea you could just hook this shit up to the computer and it'd work... I thought you'd need some bullshit like with the Sixaxis to make that work.

Coo... I played some Metal Slug and made it to the fourth stage on one credit, which isn't bad for not having played the game in a long time. There's probably no better game for getting adjusted to the stick.

Definitely is money.

Markman or Akuma,

I am trying to mod a WIRELESS XBOX 360 controller but I am not sure where I should solder wires for my X or Y button. Do you have a diagram for easy solder points for these buttons?

Ok, I've got the "Early Version" of the controller. I shouldn't solder the wire directly to the area that is circled though should I? Does that work?

I suppose that would break the normal Y button.

Posted this on SRK, but thought it would be helpful to anyone looking for one...

BTW V4MPIRO on these boards (http://forums.shoryuken.com) bought 2 x controllers at about $20 a pop off eBay and he put it up in the B/S/T forum for $70 shipped -_-

I didn't know about the eBay auctions at the time so I took the chance and bought it. I know better now. I can't hate on anyone trying to hustle and make $$$, but that is dirty to do to an SRK member....

Here are pictures of the official PCB on a PS2 DarkStalkers Collection Saturn controller:

For larger resolution click here.

Compare with the PCB on the same controller I received(I didn't take pictures because they were identical to the ones posted earlier):

Thank you DevilsFang! (for the heads up on both)...

---

As you can see on the PCB of the PS2 controller (released the same time as the other PS2 controllers and PC/Mac USB Sega controllers), there is no SEGA logo either. The PCB looks almost identical, I can't tell if it is legit. But the important thing is, the controller feels/works like a legit one. I'm using them side by side and if I close my eyes I can't tell the difference. For all I care I'm going to call these official controllers unless someone can come up with some kind of proof. The packaging is identical as well.

As far as the shoulder button goes. The clicks sound a bit different. I checked the switch that activates them and while they are exactly the same constructionwise, for some reason they make a different noise (but on my PS2 controller the click on the L button sounds different compared to the R button... lol).

Anywho, if you haven't gotten one yet, go get it. It gets my seal of approval.

If you're interested in one, get em before the price goes up?

I shot an email to SLS to ask about the legitamacy just in case, haven't heard back from them yet.

I already ordered 4 off ebay (paid almost the same price for 4 that I could have for one -_- )

WHY SRK WHY!

Signed,

Honest, hardworking MarkMan...

Your call, if you're impatient, shoot off on an HRAP EX. You could probably resell it for good money later.

The SF IV stick won't be out til right around the game's launch.

How do you know so much about the SF4 sticks? Can you tell me a few details. How does it compare to the HRAP 3 or EX in regard to design?
Markman, in the x360 controller diagram, can I solder directly to the black area for the button? Is that a contact?
You're gonna have to scrape some of the black stuff off to expose the metal.

I can't go into specs/details on the SF IV stick. I know so much about it because I'm on the design team. :bouncy:

When I'm able to release details/unveil stuff (SOON), I will post here. (everywhere too lol).

Could be helpful for anyone looking for something to use with their PS1/PS2 arcade sticks...

Later than I wanted to put it up, but here it is...
