it'll be the first ebay auction to go into negative dollars ;)
Yea, it'd make the seller go into debt lol.
So does the pad feel comfortable on the hands? It looks kinda funky (no offense) but I thought the same thing of other controllers before that ended up being comfortable.

So does it hold nice?

has there been any rumor or general date when these things will go on preorder? And also i heard along time ago it might be bundled with the game. Do you know anything about that MM?

@ sleepy180

I can't comment on the bundle thing. But preorders should go up fairly soon, it's all in GameStop's hands now.

@ kainzero

Yes, VSHG is my FAVE next gen arcade stick!

@ Jimbo Slice

The current controller is way diff from what is in the pics. But the one that was pictured felt good lol. The new one is much better overall though. ;) I'll be honest about it once we're done.

I'm wondering about prordering also. Along with other then art is their any thing different from the two sticks? I'm going to get the 140 dollar stick due to the art anyway but I'm just wondering. Might get it for the art and if it is going to be a limited number may later pick up the other to actually use.

Bah! Always months!

In other news, I might be getting a new job that pays waaaay better than what I get now. If I get it, the first thing I'm gonna do is buy a new stick!

Damn. That pretty much ensures no bundle (at least at a discount of any sort). Gamestop hasn't sold any sticks bundled with games for... well, ever, I don't think. DOA4, Tekken 5, SC4...

Is this to mean that the sticks will be Gamestop exclusive?

hi guys, I'm new about arcade stick & stuff.

I have fighting stick ex2 and I think I want to mod this stick for ps3 compatibility too.

After gathered some information, I just realize this ex2 PCB is not common ground, so basically I can't mod with toggle switch for using 2 PCBs and 1 Output? Or you guys have any solution into this?

Or maybe for the simplest idea, can I use 2 PCB and 2 output?

and, PC PAD is compatible for PS3. So, can I use pc pad PCB for modding my EX2 instead of using sixaxis/DS3? (without causing any trouble like lagging, or spoil your stick, or anything else)

really appreciate for the help, thx before. :)

Tekken 5 came bundled with a Hori stick and was sold at Gamestop, so it's not out of the question

I've built one stick, and it was a ton of fun. I lack the proper tools though. I had to borrow a saw and I really need a router. The pics are in my CAG profile if anyone's curious. It's basically a big hardwood box with Happ parts, because they are cheap. I do plan on building a Seimitsu stick for my shmups.

If I had the proper tools, I'd build a bunch of sticks. :)

Reaaaaally. I totally missed that... there may be hope yet.

Let me know which templates you need and which sticks. Also check SRK, the essentials thread has pretty much everything you'll need.

Shin-Rotendo from SRK.com, who I'm assuming is a Gamestop rep?, said that the sticks will NOT come bundled. Maybe it's too early to be certain, but this is what he said:

No release dates yet, but I'm sure the sku's will be available by the fall to reserved them. Please be patient, but you can always call your local GameStop and ask about upcoming accessories/hardware release dates to stay informed or visit www.gamestop.com
.
MadCatz realize that people love to modify their sicks, so they incorporated 'replaceable face plates/artwork' and other modifiable features.
.
Yes, they will be available for both consoles.
.
The button layout is straight out set to any standard Capcom fighter default buttons. Which translate to... just plug in and play, unless you're a weirdo and like having your buttons backwards.
.
No. They will not be packaged together with the game or bundled.
.
Pricing. Yes, expensive for the Tournament Edition, but worth every cent. That is why you should bring in some games and other accessories you no longer play/use to trade in towards it. Right now, Wireless 360 are $18 store credit plus 10% with your Edge Card stacked with any current promotions going on at the time of trade. < I'll be doing this myself.
.
About the pads... they imitate the best if not one of the best pads ever made, the Jap Sega Saturn pad, which everyone loves!! Actually, if you go to the front page and check the archives under the hardware section, I believe James Chen wrote about this. Check it out... so for those who enjoy playing on pad, this is what you want!
.
I hope this helps answer some questions as MarkMan said, these are NOT the final design as they are still doing research, testing, and etc...
Stay Tuned...

He's a manager at a Vista GameStop location (near where I live).

Some of his info isn't accurate but it's not for me to say what we're gonna do (can't let out any/all of the surprise now). ;P

Ooooooo, you're killing us with suspense! I'm really looking forward to new details on the pads, since we're pretty much in the dark about them. How far along are they in development? I'm hoping to pick up a set of pads and sticks when they come out.

Honestly, nothing else is going to be revealed for a few more months. Once the actual product is finalized everything will surface. I can't give anymore details other than what was said at the GameStop manager's conference :(

Just wondering if anyone knows if the Pelican PS2/PS3 Adapters still sell well. I have an open one that I may sell on ebay or keep all depending on how well it has been selling.
All the SFIV sticks will be available at most fine retailers and not GS-exclusive, I hope?
Hopefully that will be the case. The street fighter anniversary stick back then was exlcusive to EB games. I manged to find one of these back then before the merged happen between GS and EB. Not only that it was going for 29.99 too! Never got around to using the stick though.

Yea, try selling it on SRK if you don't want to deal with ebay.

Pelican is still the king (along with inPin)... but the latter is only sold in Korea.

Oh and.

The SF IV arcade stick will be available to most retailers that currently carry Mad Catz products. It is up to them though if they will carry it.

Most retailers =

GameStop
EB Games
Game Crazy
Circuit City
Best Buy
Fry's Electronics

to name a few...

Remember, I'm not going to guarantee that they will be in all of those stores. It's up to our buyers. If you want one for sure, preorder it through Mad Catz' webstore once they go up.

ill see if i can get a special coupon code/rate for CAG, no promises, but I'll work on it when I get back before preorders go up.

nice! thx MM. even if not CAG at least fighter thread ;)

also, I just put the adapter up on Ebay... I think I'm the only person selling it on ebay other than someone selling it with buy-it-now.

I sold mines for about $50 about a month and a half ago.

It's annoying though that some ppl voting there, I have a feeling they're not reading the thread.

Seriously, who really likes that horrid DOA4 layout!?

I voted for needs a new layout, and I even read through the thread, which is a shock, because I am illiterate. I can only write incoherent posts, but never read other people's.

So I don't know if you said this or not, but while the SF IV stick is gonna be in fine retailers across the US, what about the pro model? Seems like something that'd be too pricey for the average consumer to justify and an awfully expensive piece of kit to ship to stores. But is it still going to be available in fine retailers everywhere, or would it be relegated to an online-only purchase?

But anyway, I'm totally more excited about the gamepad than the stick, because there's just not a damn controller that gets the job done out there right now.

There sure is!

The Sega Saturn pad. ;)

There are still some on ebay but the price has gone up significantly...

In regards to the availability of the arcade stick... (The official name hasn't been unveiled yet... but I'll say it here...)

FightStick Tournament Edition or - FSTE for short....

It should be available at the very least, at GameStop and EB Games stores. Not sure where else AS OF NOW. The Mad Catz web store will carry it as well.

They vote for that because they see a pic of a controller with 6 buttons.

I didn't know the Hori 360 sticks had suck a shitty layout. Apparently I didn't look at them for more than a second. If I had one, I'd have to swap the buttons around immediately.
