If anyone is still waiting to order Sanwa JLF-TP-8YT-SK joysticks and OBSF-30 buttons, I just found a nice listing on ebay for a green stick and 8 green buttons for $57 (which would be the same price as ordering from lizardlick, with shipping).

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=260420273930

I ordered these for my SF SE stick which is on its way from Amazon. I was actually considering Green anyway, although I would have mixed in some orange.

By the way Amazon still has PS3 SE sticks in stock, I can't believe it.

My TE pre-order from Capcom from January 27th still hasn't shipped.
I have the JLF-TP-8YT-SK stick (no shaft cover, white ball) and OBSF-30 buttons (6 white 2 Dark Hai) pulled from my TE stick that I would sell for $45 shipped.

Well Lizard Licks looks to be on about three weeks or less for ordering now, but they only open the cart on Mondays. Bleh.

Finally got another arcade stick, SF Anniversary collection stick. I really like it. Haven't decided if im going to keep it or sell it, i got it for 20 bucks. I want to turn it into a wireless ps3/360/wii controller.

Blitz you can't make it wireless for all 3 systems. Sony SixAxis/DualShock 3 PCBs are not common ground so they can't be used in dual PCB setups. Not sure about Wiimotes though,

Couldnt i use Chutlu or whatever? Then plug sixaxis board into that? Id start off with a aftermarket 360 wireless pad, add the chutlu thingy for sixaxis, and then figure out how to get a wiimote hooked up to it so i can wire up a stick to a classic controller. BAM, Wireless for all 3!

Or am i going to be severely disappointed?

Doesn't work like that, for what you're talking about, you'd need an axisdapter and like eastx said it's not common ground. So I guess you're going to be disappointed.

I love the design of that stick except for one thing, christ does it cut off circulation ! You can't rest your wrist on it at all which I find to be the only real flaw of it, otherwise worth every penny I spent on it.

Yah, i am very pleased with it.

Ok guys, can i ADD a wired 360 config to this stick then? If i can do that, i'll be satisfied enough (PS2->PS3 + PS2->GC + Wired 360).

If so, if there are any write ups, i'd appreciate it. I am quite good with a soldering iron, crimping, etc.

You are a scholar and a gentleman. Thanks.

Edit - Looking at how it works, since my controller already has a PS2 pad wired in, all i would need is to splice the wires going to the buttons/stick and solder the other end to the corresponding area of the pad correct? Just match them up, and thats pretty much it? Seems simple enough. Last i checked, frys had a ton of those madcatz atari joysticks, ill go tomorrow and try to get one.

I thought I may share the results of my project. SE stick with seimitsu pushbuttons + JLF with octagonal gate. Not really a big project but I'm very happy with the results :bouncy:. I was going to change the artwork but I think the color scheme of the buttons looks great with the original artwork.

Ok, i tried out that anniversary collection stick out with my Inpin adapter, a generic ps2->ps3 adapter from frys and my Mayflash gamecube adapter.

First off, it does nothing at all with the InPin. No response what so ever.

I then tried the generic frys adapter, and it halfway worked. Any direction you press goes multiple times, buttons stop responding eventually and lots of other fun stuff. Useless.

Then i tried it with the mayflash PS2->Gamecube adapter, and it doesnt even register at all on there. I plugged in my brothers T5 stick and it worked on everything except for the generic frys adapter.

End result, looks like this thing is toast. So im going to just get a PS1 pad from the swapmeet this weekend, along with finding one of those stupid MadCatz Gamesticks (the atari 2600 stick thingy) and just re-wiring the entire stick. Once i am happy with it and everything works, i'll likely switch to 100% happ parts right after.

Anyhow, thats my adventure so far.
Unless you have some experience with soldering, modding your EX2 looks to be a pain in the ass.
I already received 2 TE sticks and 2 SE Sticks since they were all out of stock. It may have taken a month or two but they the TE sticks are definitely top notch. Puts my friends EX2 to shame(which was mines before I sold it to him). Buttons and Joysticks do matter.
Oh, I know...I just felt the EX2 was not bad at all, considering I paid like $35 for it way back when.

Anyways...I actually happened to be home and on CAG when someone said Gamestop put the TEs up, so fuck it, I bought one. Should be here Friday-ish. I should be able to sell my minty EX2 on eBay for like $70 anyways.

Now if I could just ditch some of my saturn games and stick and imports...

Get a pelican adapter, they cost an arm and a leg unless you get lucky, I have 3 Anniversay sticks and the all work with the Pelican adapter

My main concern at this point is that the SFAC stick doesnt work on my Cube adapter on the wii. Wii ability is a main issue since i plan on playing tvc online when released quite a bit. I actually am considering just dropping the whole thing and never even bothering with a arcade stick again. To get what i need out of a stick, its just way too much hassle and work. Need some shady chinese company to make a all in one stick for ps3/360/wii and i'll just buy that.

Blitz I can put whatever PCBs you need in there, or teach you to do it... The default SFAC PCB is non-standard, non-common ground, so it won't work with most adapters and won't work with dual PCB setups.
Why don't you just get TvC when it comes out on 360/PS3?
2 things here:

1 - TvC is wii exclusive and will remain that way, sadly. The capcom press release made sure to mention it was wii exclusive and nothing ive heard has said otherwise.

2 - Markman has been telling us to expect a ton of fighters on Wiiware for a while, so id like to be ready for them.

Man, i have your shoryuken thread for the triple stick bookmarked, it is a work of art. I am just let down mainly because i am having trouble finding the madcatz gamestick or a used gamestop x360 controller, and then the issues of finding a working Ps1 DS pad. Im just at the point that i dont really know if all the effort is going to be worth it anymore, mainly because i play really well on pads as it is.
A guy I know at Gamestop might be selling me a Tekken 5 stick for $30 (unmodded) How good of a stick is it out of the box? I know you can mod it, but I'm not really good at soldering. I have a HRAP EX modded with Sanwa buttons on X360, but I wanted something good for PS3 as well. I have an inpin convertor and have been using the SF Anniversary joystick, but I play with the stick in my lap and that thing is too bulky for me to use for long periods of time, so I was hoping to get something closer to a HRAP for the PS3 as well.

Its just as good as a fight stick 3 for the ps3. Nothing great but they arn't shit ether. To be honest your Nuby Tech is better than both of them outta the box.

Has anyone fit happ buttons in a t5 stick? Im just wondering if its a better fit with or without shaving the metal tabs. And if ill have to cut up the plastic housing under the buttons.

So I just ordered a TE Stick from Best Buy and tried to cancel my gamestop order in vain, but I have a question - someone said that Best Buy was removing the sticks from the boxes to ship them. Has anyone heard this or is it simply absurd? I searched here and SRK and can't find a damn thing.

So yeah...after being on the fence, I now have 2 of the damn things on the way to me...either gotta return one or sell it.

I don't remember where I read it, but it was either here or SRK that they were getting shipped in bags and a lot of people were trying to get them returned or something.

So does anyone have any idea where I can pick up a TE stick that isn't sold out and isn't uber expensive like the prices on Ebay? I'm really wanting to pick one up for BlazBlue.

I wish TvC would be released for Xbox. :(

I think the only reason I still subscribe to this thread is to see all the pretty modded sticks you guys produce. Keep 'em coming!

I'm sure Wii owners wish for MvsC2

As fun as TvC is, it didn't last that long for me
The Soundtrack however is probably the best I've heard in a fighting game

If you're looking for a :360: one, I may be able to help you out come Monday...shoot me a message, we can work something out.
finally got a TE yesterday. Gotta get used to it but i love it so far

anyone wanna help me make my artwork for the stick? (has no PS skillz)
I'd offer, as I'm skilled, but there are some people here that blow my skills away. Which is why I'm a strategist and project manager more so than graphic designer at my agency...

I know you pretty well, so I think I have this about as good as it's going to get.

That's a terrible job dv8.
That's made with an HRAP3 template, not a TE.

exactly. though i think he made it for his stick, not mine :D

Hmm for $149.99 I don't see them offering a EX or HRAP3. I would guess an over priced EX2 and FS3. Seeing how its a collector's bundle though Im sure I will pick it up though. Is this confirmed that there is a bundle or just a rumor right now?

That is true. You know the best thing about this if its true. That I hope just like the T5 bundle that later down the road EB will mark these down to $20 and we can buy a ton of them. Good times.

That's the only way I'd touch it, if it's a stock Hori part clusterfuck like last time. Soldered on PCBs, anyone?

Some jerk you all may know got me hooked on arcade sticks.

My 1st arcade stick.

A Hori Fight Stick 3 I modded with OBSF-30. I wanted to play with it and the print shop was closed, so I just taped a pic from an old calendar on a piece of cheerios box on the metal plate. The edges are taped so it wouldn't fray ;) The pale parts are where the ink wore off because of my wrists.

picture.php

My 2nd arcade stick. Still a work in progress.

LS-33, PS-14-GN (face buttons), PS-14-DN (home/start select). PS3 Cthulhu (not wired right now). Box is custom built by me. Right now it is only primed. I wanted to play with it right away so never got around to finishing it. The bottom plexi is taped on :p. Top plexi is all scratched up from me slipping with the rotary tool while trying to sand the edges.

picture.php

My 3rd arcade stick.

LS-32, PS-14-GN (face buttons), PS-14-DN (home/start/select). ShinJN AXISdapter. Case is from sillypuddy on SRK forums. Great guy, highly recommend buying from him. Parts (besides AXISdapter) came from infamouskid on SRK forums. Highly recommend buying from him when he opens his webstore.

I
m a little bummed at the quality of my new phones camera.

Got my :360: TE Stick(s) today, and I'll hold on to the extra in case someone here wants it for about a week, if not it's going back to Gamestop. Or on eBay. fuck, I dunno.

Anyways, played SF IV for about a half hour with the TE, and I'm impressed with the feel, but I gotta admit, I've played on some custom sticks that end up costing half as much that feel quite similar, but lack the weight. The precision is what makes the stick worth it - and it proves me to be a better player than I had thought. It's just like the old days, as I'm nailing my moves with quite a bit of accuracy, which I felt was lacking in the stock EX2. Don't get me wrong, the EX2 was worth every penny for the $35 I paid for it, but the quality can't compare. Made me realize how mediocre the other stick was. (now I'm going to get re-addicted to SCIV too...).

One thing I am concerned about is the fit and finish of the stick, which I perhaps was expecting too much - the front joint, where the headphone jack is, is rather rough. I'm a bit disappointed with that. Anyone else see a rough edge or two or three on their TE stick?

Sidenote - this is all going to force me to mod my T5 stick with Sanwa parts...and soon.

Plus it comes with all these nits that you have to pick off! So annoying.

And no, you can't get a custom Xbox 360 stick for half as much as a TE stick. MAYBE a PS1 or PS2based stick, but that'd be sold at almost no profit to the builder. In other words, bad price comparison.

Considering I paid $35 for my EX2 and the parts to customize it would run in the neighborhood of $40 shipped, it's most definitely half as much. Not trying to nitpick, just giving you the basis for my comparison on the financial side of it.

Yes but your talking about a modded stick. Custom is built from the ground up. Even then with the most basic of mods with nothing special added where are you ordering to get it at just $40? Assuming that price is replacing stick, buttons, gate? If not nvm.
