CAG Call of Duty 4 Night [Wednesday, 8pm EST]

Just saw this update about the new maps and double XP weekend!

The new Call of Duty 4 Variety Map Pack is still undergoing certification by Sony. Things are probably busy on Sony's side with the upcoming re-launch of the PLAYSTATION Store and all the new content coming in the weeks ahead. No firm release date has been confirmed just yet. In the meantime, Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling assures PLAYSTATION 3 COD4 gamers that there will be a Double XP weekend and a "Play With Infinity Ward" event when the Map Pack is released.

Had the same problem with you last night smiggity. Except on the last one it game me like 10 errors, then dumped me in your game where I had a grand total of like 15 secs to play before it ended. I think you quit the game after that.

The thing is, You are always on my COD4 friends list even if you are not playing the game. Super weird. For instance, last night I signed in and you were playing HSG, I go into MP and you are on my list. So sometimes I dont send them b/c I figure you arent even on. Next time you get on shoot me an invite and I will leave the game I am in.
 
I think that is normal, because I have had that too. I think as long as someone on your friends list is online, while not necessarily playing the game, they still appear as eligible for an invite.

Same here, I was quite disappointed. I would wait around in the lobby for a bit too, but you were probably in the middle of a game.
 
To let everyone know, I do not plan to continue running CoD4 night forever. I haven't decided yet, but there is a chance I might hand it off in over a month (I'll have too many games to keep track of anyway).

It's good to see post of yours in the thread! For anyone reading, I play pretty much everyday, so send me an invite if you need someone to play with.
 
I don't know Blackrose, me and SmogItUp waited in the lobby too but it didn't seem to be working to get you in there.

And yeah, everyone add Squall835 he plays a bunch. :)
 
Damn. That was a fun game. I just finished up an epic Domination battle on Shipment. We won 201 to 199. I led my team (and all players ;)) with 574 points (got nearly 1000 points total for the game!) - 53 kills, 14 assists and 54 deaths. I was so close to getting a heli called in. A heli on Shipment means a 15 streak, easy... Ah well...
 
I just had my best game ever on team tactical. It was headquarters on Shipment. I went 73 and 17 with 13 assists and a kill streak of 30!

It was nice playing with you guys. We kicked ass! Too bad about the connection interruptions though. By the way, is there anyone I would have to appeal to before putting the almighty CAG in front of my name?

Anyway, like I said before, I do plan to hand over administration of CAG CoD4 eventually (that doesn't mean they have to host, I still will, but handle thread duties and assigning nights). I'll probably hand it over to SmogItUp or naes, if anyone, down the road.
 
Stark and Squall, great games last night. The connection interruptions were crap. On that one map, I was 10 and 0 and my helicopter was just showing up when we got the boot. :(

Squall, I'll probably add you tonight, I'm on all the time as well.

StrandedBrit always shows up in-game in COD4 as long as he's online, no matter what game he is actually playing. He will be eternally tied to it.

If those PSN cards come out before April 24th, I hope I can get those new maps. That whole weekend is Double XP, so we MUST have some ranked games on CAG night.

Yup, pretty much an eternal COD4 player. He is on my list right now.
 
There might not be an official CoD4 night this weekend since I cannot host (and most have issues getting everyone together). We might have a few parties together, but that's it.

Next week though, CoD4 night will return and I'll host.
 
I volunteer smiggity, hopefully he doesn't sleep through it this time. Not sure if I'm going to be there but if I am I can host up to 12.
 
Would be nice if when we got the maps we could hook up for a couple of private games to get 'acquainted' with each of the maps. I know I'll be CODing next weekend a lot.

I won't be playing tonight as my PS3 controller has finally died. I've been playing with it half dead for the past month.

I have the charger, the left analog stick barely worked and today it finally stopped working :cry:
 
That was pretty fun, glad I showed up. I should really get in some more ranked time in because I kept picking up everyone else's weapons that had crazy scopes and space lasers on them. :D I just got the M4 so I'll try playing around with that.
