CAG Call of Duty 4 Night [Wednesday, 8pm EST]

My system locked up as soon as the crate blew up and we won the 1st Sabotage round today. Didn't feel like messing with it so I didn't try to come back.

The rest of us got the "connection interrupted" message after the explosion, we were thinking they quit with .5s left or something stupid.
 
W.T.F.?!?? I just played a game of domination on Bog. We sucked but we did get down to 2 players on my team. Bastard sore losers dropping out of games... But the other team had 7 players. What the hell is that about??! It wasn't Ground War, so teams should only have a max of 6. I have no idea how they got 7 but it sure did make the match difficult.

I had other random problems tonight, too, with lag and people freakin' showing up out of nowhere. All in all, a very frustrating night for me...

Not likely. If they in the store update then everything will be up tomorrow (Thur)afternoon/early evening.

The official night will be the regular maps as we still don't know how many will purchase the map pack. But seeing as this weekend will be double XP on the new maps only I'm sure those that get them will be on them a lot.

Oh man, I could use some double XP! Kind of sketchy of them to put it on only the new maps, though. I'll think about it based on people's impressions once the maps are out.
 
Wow that's fuckin lame. They should have had Double XP for all maps, not just the new ones.
 
I want to play! I am new-er to COD, but have been playing it pretty heavily the last week. I want to test my CAG skills! Feel free to add me or send me an invite.

They don't need to encourage people to buy the maps. It's the most played game online. People are going to buy them regardless. I can't get the new maps until those damn PSN cards come out, so I'm missing out on all the Double XP.
 
I just played for an hour and leveled up 4 times..The thing that sucks is that you can pretty much only play Chintown and Broadcast b/c the smaller map doesn't come up since the game modes are limited. The small training facility map will be perfect for Team Tactical...

This weekend, the new maps will not be required because I probably won't have them. After this weekend, I might require them, but we'll see (depending upon how many have them and how many want them). However, what I may do is only have CAG CoD4 go on for 1 hour, so people can get some free time after the game to mess with the new maps in a party or so.

I will not be following this thread much since I have many other important things to do, but I'll be around my PM box and PSN at times.
 
hey guys got a quick Q.. not related to the CAG night, but to CoD4.. how come my friends don't show up on the leaderboards? I had this on 360 and any of my friends that had CoD4 showed up so I could compare stats. One of my friends I know plays doesn't show up.. and I'm sure a few other of my friends on my list have CoD4 but I don't see any else's stats except my own.. sucks.

edit also, if it hasn't been mentioned, the maps are share-able.. yeah got it on mine and my bro's ps3, just using my PSN name =D

Friends only show up if they are also playing. It's stupid, but it's how it is.

I know there is a game on Saturday, but we aren't doing the new maps, is that correct? Anyone wanna get together for some private matches on the new maps? I was getting killed out there when I tried them tonight. Chinatown is ridiculous. Creek is a haven for snipers (which, in my mind, sucks). Broadcast is pretty fun. I didn't get to play the other one.

thanks that is very dumb.. i like 360s way ah well..also why the long pause at title menu to online MP? another ps3 gripe lol. anyway i hated chinatown, broadcast was fun.. creek is.. big. its eh. i was unprepared on my custom classes hah

It happens since it's obtaining the data from a server. The main thing about the game is that it logs onto to Activision/IW servers, and it was their choice to not upload the entire XMB into the database and use their own method. The main reason I think they don't list all buddies is because of inviting, so you don't invite those who are online.
 
Question for anyone who has played the new maps. I was getting like double the XP I usually get. I was like getting 20 points for a kill in most cases? Everyone else get this? Does that mean we'll get 40 for a kill this weekend?

I believe that the 20 points per kill etc. was the double XP.
 
damn 100points.. how many kills/round do you usually get? Never played S&D.

I mostly just play free-for-all so leveling up comes by slowly even though I average I dunno 15-20kills/match. I need to level up some while the gettin's good. Then worry about my K/D ratio later hahah
 
I don't like the playlist setup.

I played 5 games last night. 3 were domination which I dislike, 1 HQ and 1 Sabotage, on creek was brutal.

I hate that you cannot choose your game type. I could not get a S&D for the life of me, and I didn't get to see the 4th map at all. I heard they'll update the playlists sometime next week, but right now it's a little lame IMO.
 
You got Team Deathmatch, Sabotage, Free for All, Headquarters etc on the normal playlists. When you get the new maps 3 more are added to the bottom. Variety Team Deatchmatch, Variety Objective and Variety Hardcore. 1st one is pretty obvious. 2nd one is Domination, HQ, Sabotage and S&D, and the last is all modes in Hardcore.

Sucks though cos I can't just pick Hq on the new maps. It's gotta be one of those 3 options.
 
I'm hoping they only have those few choices because of the "double xp" weekend. They probably don't want people exploiting it too much. Or I could be wrong and we're stuck with random gametypes.
