Woo! Just when I've been saying I want to start playing this more. I think I'm pretty close to finishing GTA4, so hopefully I can get in a bunch of CoD4 playing before next Thursday.

Incidentally, I was reading this article on placeholder names (thingamajig, John Doe, etc.) earlier and noticed this:

Arabic uses Fulan / Fulana[h] فلان / فلانة and when a last name is needed it becomes Fulan AlFulani / Fulana[h] AlFulaniyya[h] فلان الفلاني / فلانة الفلانية.

So it's sort of funny that the president in the campaign mode is named Al-Fulani. Extra props to Infinity Ward if that was intentional.
 
sweet... I need the double XP weekend to get through another Prestige or so. I just don't know that I will have any time to play, I already had a REALLY busy weekend planned.
 
I'm enjoying the double XP so far. Last night I was ranking up pretty much every other round, and I wasn't even doing that well. :) Got the G3 and I kind of like it.

Plus I finally completed this challenge:

Hey, those were some good games earlier. My fear of rockets has moved from GTA to this game now. naes, it was fun backing you up in those Search & Destroy games, too.

Just finished trying to squeeze in a few more ranks before tomorrow. I think I had a pretty successful weekend. Went from level 22 to 38, got my G36C, completed a ton of challenges, and called in my first helicopter. \\:D/...Which was promptly shot down after only one kill. :cold: Oh well, I'm still proud.

I think I need to start moving around more cautiously. I noticed that even though I score fairly high, my K:D is usually pretty horrendous, probably because I always charge right in and get killed. I'm going to try out Juggernaut instead of Stopping Power to see if that helps me a little.

BlackRose, one of these days we'll actually get into a game together.
 
Sorry I had to step out early guys. A couple friends came over to play Rock Band. We ended up playing through Act 1 of MGS4 instead though.

I am always up for games during the week. With no school and my workplace cutting back for a month or so I am virtually free 24/7.
 
CoD4 will be on this Saturday. With the expanded buddy list, this should be a lot easier to put together (although I don't recommend adding me since I'm not the regular CoD4 player, but I do play sometimes).
 
Finally got my P90 and Desert Eagle, just in time for this week's games. Be afraid!

I imagine the P90 feels like getting attacked by a lot of tiny bees. But at least you never have to reload.
 
Its all about the shotty!:evil: Unfortunately I will be in Traverse City tomorrow, but you guys have my (virtual) word that me and my 12 gauge will be there next week.

I am going to try to hit 55 tonight and load up prestige mode. Hopefully I will get some good perks/weapons back before tomorrow.

I agree that there was too much going on in Ground War. That mode calls for a minigun or something. It was cool getting to play Domination though, and the hardcore TDM was fun. Thanks to everyone who killed me in last stand. :D

Next week we should do a game on Chinatown, and maybe Downpour. I rarely see those maps online.

And Mana, you've got to ditch your Martyrdom when we do hardcore games. :bomb:

Yeah sorry I rpg you on hardcore TDM on Creek. I was laughing my ass of when I saw you killed teammate Metaly. Oops!:lol:

That was actually good, now that naes explained that you should kill teammates in last stand during TDM. The fact that it was a rocket from across the map made it even better.
 
I hit 55 on July 1st!!! Online play time listed as 1 day 21 hours 27 mins. That took a LONG time. Now you guys can own me cause I'll be back to crappy weapons/perks for next CoD night.
 
Congrats. I've got about 10 levels to go still and I expected to just stay at 55, but I've been playing this game more so now I'm thinking maybe one prestige might be fun...

I've got some time to think about it, though. :)
 
Every time I get to 55 I tell myself I'll just stay there, but that damn prestige button just lures me into pressing it and starting over. One day I'll stop and have a golden gun besides the desert eagle.
