CAG GTAIV Night: Same Bat-Time, Same Bat-Channel[ 9/2 @ 10pm EST ]
Very true... I get reminded of this constantly. #-o

Also haha. I almost forgot, I was setting up another roadblock at the end of the Cannonball when ohvermie plowed into me and I died. Then I panicked and ran ahead to the finish line before noticing that he wasn't even after me and was just there to cause trouble. We should have teamed up to build the most epic roadblock ever!
lol :D

Both of you with rocket launchers and that roadblock would have most certainly been epic! ;)

Heh, the roadblock was a bit too close to the finish to cause too much trouble.

Not everyone makes it to the end of cannonball run. :)

That first speed bike race was frustrating though, I was just going straight ahead and hit the curb or something and got launched like 40 feet in the air. I ended up landing on top of a building somewhere, and I didn't know where my bike went. D:

Yeah that was me. :)

CheapestGamer needs to turn up the receiving volume on his mic, you can barely hear him. The really low volume humming of the Smurfs theme during that rocket TDM match made the whole experience eerie.

Just got my Liberty City Minute trophy last night. Final time was about 18:18:18, pretty crazy.

And yeah, I can never hear Cheapest either. Also vermie, either your mic is really quiet or you just rarely talk. :) I'm guessing it's the latter since I could hear you OK during the C&C game where Cheapest took the boat.

Also man... C&C needs some long range homing missiles for those boat chases. :bomb:

That was me humming the Smurfs theme. I still don't know why the fuck I got a headset, since I think if I talk maybe 5% of the time it's a miracle. I rarely have anything to say, but it does beat not having one at all.

I mainly have the headset to coordinate attacks with others in Team Deathmatch when playing with friends on the same team. At least with me having one now, I can hear when people are screaming 'where the fuck am I going?!?!?!?!' .

Whenever I HAVE talked though, I have the voice changer set to -2, so I sound like the guy from Saw all the time on there.

My "final" time was around 29:55:whistle2:-.
I messed around on the first island, doing side missions (did all of Brucie's rides, Jacob's jobs, Mercenary jobs, Most Wanted, some of the random encounters, put things off to deal with friends, etc) and the like, then did the last two in ~10 hours. It was quite a race to finish in under 30.

After doing everything (pigeons, Stevie's crap, the rest of the Most Wanted, 90+ friends, stunts, 100%, etc) my final time was ~60-70 I think. Though I did waste plenty of time when I was liking up my friends by taking one of them to a strip club, then going and doing things around the house while the game ran. Had to waste at least 5 hours that way.

Wow, that's too fast... Did you travel by taxi the entire game? Either way, congrats on the trophy metaly. :applause:

Ha, that's how I know it's you whenever you DO talk.

I've never liked my own voice, which is why I'm always doing the 'Governator'(Shwarzenegger) or other voices. Although, when I play against friends I mainly only laugh when I get a kill on them in TDM.

is there some special way you need to hit people with the car to take them out? most times i have to run over them a few times before theyre dead.

Most times you can't really run someone over and kill them immediately, unless they're low on health to begin with. So, what I do is I grab a car and drive in a circle around them, knocking them over with my bumper, then before they can get back up I shoot them.

It's quite annoying for them, but I sit there and laugh my ass off.

Usually when I get nearly killed by a ped, I make sure I unload a full three clips into them if I get up before they leave.

I absolutely hate some of the things that happen while in the game, since more than a few times some random driver has swerved around every other car and ended up running me over just as I got a good lock on someone in a deathmatch game.

I've been playing online a lot lately and wow, the pedestrians/drivers are so annoying. If a car was speeding towards you, wouldn't you wait to make that left turn?

That's nothing, as I've been trying to carjack one driver, while having 3-5 other drivers going haywire and nearly running me over.

Thing is, a couple of times I could swear that the NPC drivers were actually programmed to try and take me out.

I used to "love" how the Cops (I'm talking during single player gaming) would always seemingly attempt to make you hit them.

I always hated that. Even the slightest tap and off go the sirens and lights and you have a 1-2 star wanted level.

The worst though, is even during multiplayer matches, is when you're around a warehouse that has an armed security guard. I once had one of them kill me when I was trying to shoot at someone in Team Death Match.

do any of you get annoyed at some of the match types people choose? im new enough to gta online play that i prefer straight up games but some of the ones people set up ( mele weapons only , rocket launchers only , sniper rifles only) can be annoying to new comers to the online side of things. over time you do get better but still it can frustrate the hell out fo you to get pounded on by people who obvioulsy are better and have been at it longer.

We frequently do projectiles or rockets only DMs on Wednesdays. If I somehow ended up in a snipers only match though I'd probably throw my PS3 out the window.

Use my tactic....

Grab a car, learn how to drive in circles around a lone member of an opposing team and shoot them in the back while they're trying to target you. :D

It works for me very often. That's all I'm saying about that though.
I can't imagine anything in the universe being less fun than snipers-only GTA.
Well I'm sold, snipers only this Wednesday it is!

how about over 20 minutes of assult rifles only with close respawning. i hate when they do that too.but that match did help me level up so thats cool but very very boring after the first 10 minutes.

Even worse is close respawning in an RPG deathmatch with auto aim allowed.

As soon as you respawn, you're dead again.

Shouldn't be "As soon as" ;) since there's a short invulnerable period when you first spawn.
It's fun to use that time to rocket jump around. :whee:

Here's an utterly uninteresting trailer for the 360's Lost and Damned expansion/episode/thing. I don't mean to sound like the PS3 owner who's sore about not getting some DLC, but I can't imagine how they could have done a less interesting reveal. Biker gangs just aren't my thing, I guess. Still, I'll keep on following this because I'm some kind of masochist.

The striker shotgun was pretty cool to see, but it really just made me want to play RE4. :twoguns:

Man, I just watched the trailer, that was pretty bland. But!!!!!! It reminded me of this one time I was playing free mode and some punks joined.

I grabbed a bike and ran over them.

Then I shot them. Twice!!!!

True story!

:twoguns::twoguns::twoguns::boxing::boxing: :grouphug:
Microsoft paid how many millions for this? I don't even like doing missions on motorcycles... ;)
This
I hated riding motorcycles. I'm not upset about not having a motorcycle based expansion.

Now if they were a helicopter gang...

I think they're trying to cash in on the whole brotherhood concept. I for one can say I'm not disappointed that I don't get the option to buy it.

I think it looks cool. More GTA4 is a good thing, IMHO.

I'm not super thrilled about bikers but at least it's not ghetto/hip-hop bullshit, a la San Andreas.

I hope it eventually sees some kind of release for PS3, even if I have to wait a while.

I didn't like the storyline for San Andreas either, but at least compared to GTAIV there were more interesting things to do AFTER the main storyline was completed.

You had the trucking missions, the usual side missions(Vigilante, Paramedic, etc) and many other things you could do. The state of San Andreas was HUGE and it took a while to go from one point to another, even in a hijacked jetliner from the airport.

You also could base jump from buildings for the hell of it.

That's the main thing that pissed me off about GTA IV, was that Liberty City was this huge city with tons of tall buildings and yet they took out the friggin' parachute.
I'd pay for DLC of the continuing adventures of Wu Zi Mu.
That would be great! They could even make it more IMMERSIVE and have the game take place entirely in complete darkness! Sign me up!

Hahahhaha

I should try to play some DM that way this week.

Just turn off my TV and leave the stereo on. :)

Did anyone besides me NOT know there's actually a back room behind the bar in the strip club in Bohan when you first come in the front door of the place?

It's a great place to hide out and wait for other Deathmatch players to walk right by and annihilate them from.:D

It was an almost total massacre the other night when my friends and I played against 2-3 other teams.

We camped in the strip club and waited for suckers to come running.

Oh and sorry about glitching last week during the airport deathmatch, but you have to admit that hiding INSIDE the terminal building is a hell of a spot, especially since NO ONE ELSE can get to you but you can fire out with impunity.

Man that reminds of this other time I was death matching with some buddies. I was running around the street looking for some random jerks to shoot with my pistol when I happened upon an uzi!!! So I grabbed the uzi and ran around a building and took cover! Then some guy walked by and I pressed R1 to aim, and shot the guy in the head 3 times and he died so I was happy that I killed him with my uzi.

I was pretty stoked that I shot a guy with my uzi so I went looking for more guys to shoot. So I jacked a car, I think it was red, maybe pink. I like pink, it reminds me of that one Simpsons episode where Homer's white shirt got turned pink because it was washed with something red and then turned pink and he was hesitant to wear it because it is pink! But pink is a pretty color, I don't think takes away from the masculinity of a man at all. Though I suppose it helps if said man has a lot of confidence; personal grooming and staying in shape usually helps with self confidence. I wonder if Tony Robbins is coming to town soon, he's pretty good at making people feel confident right…? I should check ticketmaster to see if he is coming to town, but I hate paying their convenience fees! What's so convenient about paying extra money for nothing??? Hmm, doesn't look like Tony Robbins is coming to town anytime soon, oh well.

So anyways I drove my car around and it was fun. :twoguns: :grouphug: :fridge: :twoguns:

yeah thats pretty much the main downfall of gta4.san andreas was huge and fun to explore. seems like they took out all of that since they were adding online play. i liked the music in san andreas better too and it was fun to just drive through the areas from the city to the country.

San Andreas that game was long and in my opinion way better then IV. Its fun to get mods for the pc version and play multiplayer. Vice City was ick..I wish they had a zombie mode for IV. Anyways lets try the strip club thing, we go deathmatch between 2 buildings with rockets or snipe rifles.
