CAG Halo 3 clan for newer members (Registration closed for now.)

First off I know there's not in-game support for clans yet but IGN just started a group and I thought it would be a good idea. Since I did not have an XBox or was on CAG when you were, I didn't realize there was a CAG clan (although Bungie.net let me use the name CAG.) What's the name of the Halo 2 CAG clan then?

Second I posted this last night and nobody other than Mooky said anything against it, and he wasn't sure if it would be a problem. There were about 30 messages from new players in this thread wanting it and since no one had a strong objection I went ahead and created the clan. If the old clan was going to merge into the new one, why didn't one of the mods or the officers of that clan inform in this thread "Hey there's already a clan, it's called X."

We'll leave this up to the mods but I've already got 15 members in the clan in just the last 3 hours.

Nobody mentioned anything because there is no clan support in the game.
The two clans here are the standard Cheapassgamer clan and the CAGtacular clan. But I'd say you're free to call yourselves the Cheapassgamer clan since they aren't relevant anyways. When you guys think you're ready, you can challenge CAGtac to a match.

We'll gladly break your back, fuck you in the ass, and make you humble.

OK I must of missed Shrike's post about there being 2 CAG clans already, but apparently our group (named just CAG) is going to be for new members/people who didn't play Halo 2 online/people who didn't have an XBox last gen/etc.

That's fine. I just wanted to help the CAG community and it seemed like no one was stepping up so I took the bull by the horns.

One question though: If there were already 2 clans, how come there wasn't a thread about joining one of those already established clans? If there was one and I missed it I apologize.

Looks like we have a clan war! (I just hope we can hold our own.)

Edit: I just saw all the clan vs. clan stuff. I Just want to be in a group with fellow CAGs, can we just get it to one? I wasn't aware of a Halo 2 group already in existence, like other people here, and just would like to have other CAGs in a group to compare to every once in awhile.

The best way to make that happen is...?

was looking on Bungie's site and i dont know how or where to sign up.

Nothing to be scared of. The pain from the branding goes away in a few weeks.

Go to where you can search for groups on Bungie and type in CAG. It will come up. After that, meet us in the back alley at 3:00 am. And bring lots of knives and guns and bombs.

I didn't mean to start something, my idea is the same as yours. The other two clans came in here and started talking trash and didn't say anything about "if you want you can just join us" or something to that extent. They seem to be happy with their current membership.

And that's fine. I just wanted to have a semi-casual group here on CAG that we can organize like on Fridays. Eventually if we want to play the other clan we can, or we don't have to. Like I amended my OP to say, we want to have fun and be semi-competitive, but not take it to the way MLG people do it, or pro VS players :)

FYI TDD you are an admin now. If any of the other mods join in they can be admin's too. If they're all in the original clans, we may have an election for a couple of other admin spots. We'll wait and see about that.

Alrighty its done im signed up, but Ive only got three crates full of 3 year old Tijuana Fireworks, A gallon of Moonshine and a barrel of 75 cent swiss army knife/Nail clippers/toothpick/scissors.
 
You shouldn't even be able to sully the CAG name with your shittiness. Just stick to the Gaming Group thing you already got stickied and let it go.
 
Just joined GT Mystic Heat, haven't played that much multiplayer, im still on campaign, i plan on playing on legendary on friday

Granted the clan hasn't been active for the last year or so, but we did last a good year or two with regular practices and all. The reason why we can't have one clan is clearly laid out in the wiki article. Some players just don't enjoy playing with others of wildly greater or lesser skills.

Either way, this point is moot since there's no clan support in-game.
And besides, my friends list is already almost full
 
Let's plan on what we want to do on Friday and when. Since Cheapy joined, we have 3 admins now. I would like to get another 2 admins possibly if Wombat, Linkin, shrike, or shipwreck don't join. I'll start a thread about that on our Bungie.net forum.
 
Joined up. I used to play a crapload of Halo2 on XBC, so I'm doing my best to dust off the knuckles and stop bitching about the snipers that never /ever/ actually get into the action.

I won't be able to add anyone until tonight because something on bungie.net after you sign in is causing my work computer's IE 6 to crash. I'll have to wait until I get home and have Firefox unless CheapyD or ThatDamnDave add you before then.
 
You have been added to the member queue. As soon as you're approved to join by the group staff, you'll be a member.

If you go to bungie.net after your accepted you can see everyone in the group. It's mainly to have a dedicated forum on bungie.net and to organize all of us on CAG who have the game and would like to be part of a group, although the game does not have official clan support.

Can you somehow see all these people when you're on Halo 3? Or would you then have to add all of them to your friends list?
 
Goddamn we need to get a CAG Infection night going. I just played a few matches and I LOVED it.
