CAG Killzone 2 Game Night [Currently Inactive]

Had a good time tonight. After not playing ANY fps games in a while and then jumping into UT3 Monday, I felt like I was running through molasses playing KZ2 but I got reacquainted just fine after a while. I feel like a n00b since I'm not leveled up but I haven't picked this game up since early March :whistle2:#

Not a bad turnout tonight.. at least 16 at one point. It would have slipped my mind completely had I not put LBP in to update and forgotten that my PS3 was on until about 9:30 when I saw TMKs message about playing. Good games everyone

I forget who it was, but I spawned right near a defend point and whoever it was took two point blank shotgun blasts before killing me with ease at least once. :cold:

haha, you must have been having bad luck with the random hip-fire. thats the joy of a rocket, just have to get it close :p

there were many instances tho, where i shot a rocket on the ground between 2 people and they didnt die. so i guess it goes both ways.

Yeah... I swear people get a bit of spawn point invincibility, so long as it's not me. I get killed right after spawning ALL the flipping time.:roll:
 
My first learned rule for Killzone from tonight:
- Don't try to take on a person manning a turret alone, and be sure as hell not to run back to the turret person after spawning back from death.

Zen tore my head off with that turret 3 times cause I didn't learn my lesson the first time and kept running back alone. :rofl:

yes there is invincibility. they are invincible at spawn as long as they glow their team color. 2-3 seconds, which feels like a long ass time when ure trying to kill someone.
 
All right, I just need to know who is interested in the Beta Clan and Alpha clan, on Saturday at 9pm EST. I will send out the clan game invite either on Friday night or Saturday morning. I plan to make the game either 10 vs. 10. 12 vs. 12, or just go 16 vs. 16 and see which clan gets more people to show up. :lol:

Also, if people could tell me what map they'd like me to use, whatever gets the most votes, I will use it.

Lastly, if you didn't ask to be in the clan before this post, you CANNOT enter this clan battle. You MUST be in the clan before invite is received, or else the game will not be listed (they do this to prevent cheating in a way).

Still... I swear I can pump 3 shotgun blasts into someone and it not hurt them after they spawn, but I can die as soon as I spawn.

haha those were good games. wish i had joined in earlier.

i also wish i could use my headset at night but don't want to bother the wife. :(

Have to say, we make a good team Zen, it was fun battling you for first place on our team, we were only a few points from each other on several matches.

I won't be able to make it on saturday because I'm doing some traveling for work. :(
 
I wasn't able to be at the game night last night since I didn't get home until 9PM, but I will definitely be able to make the clan match on Saturday.

The last map had about 10-12 ish I think.
 
well..its time for everyone to start hating me. now that i got my boost medal i have to move on to the next....which is the sniper medal. so im gonna have to become the person i hate :p i wont play it all the time, obviously. if firepower is needed because we are losing ill help out, im not totally selfish :)
 
Sniper is actually really easy to get since it's a 1 shot kill. Just get 10 kills real quick with it then switch to whatever else you want :)

Spot and mark is easy too because you only have to scan ppl. which happens basically every time you hit right

I like using scout with repair as secondary

no one sees you repairing turrets or manning them. it's awesome for salamun market

now explain again how spot and mark works? is it just a dpad button like everything else?...what did you mean "only have to scan?" (as you can tell i havent used the sniper much)
 
I will send a game request tomorrow. I decided on 12 on 12, will be the size of the game. In ways I'm tempted to go bigger, but I'll stay there. I really hate for some to not be able to get in.
 
I had a good time on thursday. You guys had me cracking up..Had to mute my mic a couple of times. Count me in for saturday night.

Yep just hit the d-pad right and any enemies not behind a wall no matter how far away will get scanned and marked with a target. You just have to do that five times for a ribbon.

It's pretty awesome but there's few times when being a sniper is appropriate which sucks.
 
Someone from the BETA clan needs to accept the game challenge. I recommend they do it in-game, and NOT on Killzone.com (because of issues). Normally I start at 9pm EST, where everyone has to show up at 8:45pm EST. While that works, I feel that since the clan game opens 15 minutes ahead of time, it is best for me to create the game 15 minutes AFTER 9pm EST. Basically, people see the time is 9pm EST, and it gives them some time to get in, instead of realizing they had to show up before 9pm EST. We'll see how this works out. Anyway, here is the setup for BOTH clans, please read. Each clan DOES need at least 12 people.

It was accepted at like 1:45 today by someone that is not me, I just jumped on to accept it but its already done. The game says 9:15 not 9:00.

Might have been me. I ws trying to open up the message and I thought the system was locked up. Hit X a few times but it still stayed on the screen but soon it say "challenge accepted" and then went back to normal.

I know it's suppose to start at 9:15pm EST. I did that on purpose because when people see 9pm EST / 6pm PST, they will most likely try to show up at 8:58pm EST or whatever and can't get in, so that's why I scheduled the game 15 minutes later (to see how it goes).

Good, I checked on my end and the time is correct. :)

I might show up at the clan night, but I rather have 12 others show up for the Alpha clan (since I want to give others a chance to play, but still everyone who can play should try to show up). Unless someone speaks up about some CAG night next week by Monday (for whatever days of the week), there will not be one (since someone else has to host for next week).

From a balancing standpoint, I suppose that makes sense. Otherwise you could have pros bouncing around between clans willy-nilly.
