CAG League Sports: Madden 12 "JV League" - We Finished 3 Seasons! Thanks Everybody!!!

Jets- 41
Dolphins - 7

Mark Ingram 297 yds and 4 TD's on 19 touches.
Mark Sanchez 11 of 16 for 149 yds and a TD

And Reggie Bush for the dolphins had 154 yds and 1 TD on 17 touches.
I guess we could do another round at Week 10. Free agency is limited because without a salary cap, we'd have people signing the 20 best players and releasing the 20 worst on their roster. You might think that's crazy...but I've seen it happen. Sorry you missed out this time. I knew you were away, but I didn't think you'd have ZERO internet access the entire time.
Look, it's not a deal breaker by any stretch, but it does kinda suck. I said I'd be away well in advance and there was no previous definite free agency time (the OP just vaguely said "around week 5"). Since the timing was completely arbitrary anyway, I dont see why it couldnt have been a week later. Like I said, not a deal breaker, but I do want to express my displeasure.

And I didnt have "ZERO internet access", I just wasn't on CAG. ;)
jza1218 your PM box is full. Can you play (CHI v MIN) either tonight or tomorrow after 9:30p EST?
Sorry about that! I'm working each of the next three nights, so I won't be around.

Bengals top Colts, 10-6, in a defensive contest (or offensive struggle, take your pick). Nate Clements' 1st quarter pick six turns out to be the key play. Clements finished with two interceptions, and Taylor Mays pick with 10 seconds left sealed the game. Felix Jones runs for 54 yards on 12 attempts while AJ Green continues his strong rookies season, making three catches to bring his season total to 27 with 520 yards receiving and two touchdowns.

Texans - 42
Ravens - 21

Schaub finally went off throwing for 274 yards, with 5 TD's and one pick on 19/28.
The Texan's defense stood up and said something with 2 picks, one for a pick 6, and a forced fumble which couldn't have come at a worse time for the Ravens. Williams was past the first down marker and then some on a 4th and 1 and the ball was stripped. Flacco was held to just 8 for 21, though he had 206 yards and 3 TD's.

Good game Tower! I got lucky on crucial plays in the fourth quarter which opened the flood gates man.

I'm sorry it was 42-28

Saints - 23
Buccaneers - 0

Wow, after being absent the last couple weeks, the Saints defense showed up in this one. Limiting the Bucs to 80 yards of offense, and holding Josh Freeman to 5-22 passing, with 6 interceptions. Malcolm Jenkins decided to make a run at that defensive player of the week award with 3 interceptions, followed by Roman Harper who had 2, and Bart Scott who had 1.

Nothing too special on the offensive side of the ball for New Orleans...just a steady attack. Drew Brees finished 8-14 for 131 yds, with 0 TDs and 0 INTs. He did complete passes to 6 different receivers though. Darren Sproles rushed 19 times for 66 yds and 1 TD. And due to a very strong Tampa red zone defense, John Kasay was 3 for 3 on field goals. gg, Kaster. As I said, my defensive backs never pull down that many balls. They grabbed so many balls, Ricky Martin got jealous, lol. :)

Yeah Nate, good game. I'm hopeful the rematch will be somewhat more competitive :)

Yeah good game.

The injuries are starting to get ridiculous though. Both my starting safties and both my kick returners all got hurt in the same game. On top of having already lost Ray Rice a few weeks ago. It's starting to get really old having people hurt all the time.

I noticed that. Your team is made of glass man! Haha...I wasn't hit sticking at all. Good game though dude.

I'm going to need a sub for the 49ers this week, as I won't have access to an xbox for the next few days.

Edit: also, I'll need the commissioner to remove me from the 49ers so someone can sub, as I didn't have a chance to drop them, and won't be able to access my account.

So do you have an alternative time to offer or should someone else just pick up the Vikings for this week's game?

Monday through Wednesday I'm usually only available in the afternoons. Probably best if someone else picks them up this week.

Bills - 17
Giants - 10

Crazy monsoon game out in Jersey. In a dirty, ugly, sloppy, turnover-ridden contest, the Bills somehow managed to come out on top. Neither QB had any accuracy, with Ryan Fitzpatrick going just 9-28 for 135 yds with 1 TD and 2 INTs. Eli wasn't much better, going 8-20 for 117 yds with 1 TD and 3 INTs.

Fred Jackson did his best to give the game away in the 2nd quarter, fumbling twice within 90 seconds of game time...one of which was deep in Giants territory. He rebounded however to help shut the door with some big yards in the 4th quarter, finishing with 100 yards on 19 carries. Each team had four turnovers and horrible 3rd down efficiency, lol. Gotta love the rain. gg, silversnake!
I need a human opponent for Seattle this week. Anyone available tomorrow night? I am EST.
I can do that, although you will probably kill me. I'm available all day tomorrow. PM me with the details if you're interested.
I need a human opponent for Seattle this week. Anyone available tomorrow night? I am EST.
Seattle has an owner now. Sorry, I need to update that in the OP. It's damailman2272. No clue what his gamertag is, but you can try PM'ing him on here.

Pitfall Harry (Packers) and I (Rams) tried to play tonight. Lost the connection twice right before the end of the half. Both times, Packers were up by 7, but I was driving in the second game, perhaps to tie it up.

We're going to try again tomorrow night.

Yeah, the action was good while it lasted. It'll hopefully work out better tomorrow night. Greg Jennings was putting up monster numbers in the second game, too.

All right, games remaining for this week:

Panthers vs Falcons (???)
Eagles vs Redskins (Redskins currently don't have an owner. We need a sub here)
Jaguars vs Steelers (???)
49ers vs Lions (G33 said he needs a sub, I was going to boot him tonight, but I had to hand off commish duties so I could play as my secondary team)
Rams vs Packers (trying again tomorrow)
Bears vs Vikings (hope you guys can find a time that works)

That's a decent number of games, guys. I hope we can get these finished by tomorrow night.

i own seattle what time you looking to play
I can sub for the 49ers of its ok?
That works for me. I don't think I've had commish duties handed back to me yet, so we're still waiting on that before I can boot G33. If he happens to see this, you can leave the franchise through the EA website. There should be a drop down box on the right side that says "franchise options" and you should be able to choose "leave franchise". I don't know if he'll get a chance to do this, but whichever can happen first would allow us to get that game played.
Just let me know commish. Im ready whenever
Ok, you're good to go. Hope you and Blade can get that game played tonight.

I'm really sorry, guys. I caught a nasty flu bug that's been going around here and I was bedridden for the past 3 days. I'm back now and I have PM'ed my opponent.

EDIT: Looks like we're good to go for tonight.
So can anyone sub for the Vikings tonight? I'm available after 9:30pm EST (as usual).
I could probably do it, but I don't know how suitable of a sub I am. We also need someone to take the Redskins for their game against the Eagles...though I don't know if anyone's heard from the Eagles owner in awhile anyway.

What does that even mean? I just want to get a game in. I personally dont care who it's against. Does the commish have an issue with you subbing? If not, can we just set it up for 9:30 tonight? I just want to know, otherwise I'm playing B:AC (on the PS3).

He is the commish. I think he's trying to say that his record makes him a little too good to be a sub for the 1-4 Vikings.

commish having two CAG names is confusing....

So you wanna do it or do you want to wait for me and jza1218 to work out a different time? I think jza is available tomorrow night, but that's after the previously stated deadline. I'm okay with waiting if that's best. I'll be available again tomorrow 9:30pm EST +

Falcons - Panthers scheduled for tomorrow @ 11am CST.

I can sub tonight @ 9:30 EST if needed. My record may be 4-1, but I am not that great. Hosty and I already had a very competitive game once and I have never played with the Vikings either.
I'm going to hop on for the next 15 min or so. If there is no game set by 9:45ish, I'm gonna call it a night.
I am hopping on.
I'm going to hop on for the next 15 min or so. If there is no game set by 9:45ish, I'm gonna call it a night.
Wow...you tell people you can't play until after 9:30, but if no one is on by 9:45 you're going to bounce? Not giving us much to work with here. I hope Yanksfan was able to link up with you. I just woke up at 9 and had to feed and change my daughter. Sorry to keep you waiting so long...

Why would I sit around waiting without a confirmation? If you had said you could play as late as 11pm, I'd work around that. But how long am I supposed to sit and wait without any sort of confirmed appointment?

BTW: I'm up and running Yanks

No, I completely understand. I guess I was under the impression that you were working and couldn't start gaming at all until 9:30 since you were so adament about that time. I wouldn't sit around waiting in Madden either (though to be fair, there is plenty to pre-occupy yourself with...MUT, Madden Moments, etc). I just thought at worst you'd switch to something else. I couldn't confirm with you because I wasn't sure when I'd be able to get on. I just didn't realize I only had a 15 minute window of catching you either. Anyway, I'm glad Yanksfan was able to step up and get the job done. The more help I can get, the smoother things will run anyway.

Vikings - 10
Bears - 7

Another well balanced game between the two of us that literally came down to a tipped ball about 4 or 5 times in the endzone that fell incomplete and allowed MN to pull out a close victory.

The Bears had an unbelievable TD pass to Hester in the first half after forcing a fumble off of a slant pass completion to Michael Jenkins deep in Bear territory. I have never seen anyone blow up off the line so quick before. My jaw hit the floor as I realized what happened and I couldn't help but appreciate it.

Great game hosty, I am glad I don't have to face you again with the Falcons, but if you ever want to play a non league exhibition, let me know.

The Vikings are getting low on LBs, FYI. I think they were down to 5 healthy ones on the roster at the end of that game.

The 9:30 thing is not work per se but more family. I get home from work around 5:30 - 6p but those next hours are for dinner and the kids. The oldest sometimes hangs on til about 9 so after preparations and storytime, it's approaching 9:30. Now after that, I'm free as long as I can stay awake.

If it comes down to it that someone needs to start a little earlier, I could *possibly* do that, but I'd need to know in advance so the wife and I could switch duties a bit (I'm the one that does all bedtime prep cause she's home with them all day).

The 15 minute thing today was simply because there was no real appointment. It was just a 'well maybe' and a 'I could but...'. Plus, there were two volunteers so I didnt even know *who* I would be waiting on. So I just set a time limit because it was either going to happen or not. If not, I was going to play Batman (on my PS3 which is in a room away from my 360). And if I started in on Batman, that was going to be my 2hr video game time for the night.

For the record, I'm flexible if there is some advance notice. But if I'm the one who is initially setting a time, yup, it's going to be after 9:30 EST. I'm receptive to counter proposals though. I just need to know.

BTW:
Vikes 10
Bears 7

Cant believe I missed a field goal; a long one, but still make-able with the wind. Damn it!

Oh and FTR: it's hostyL as in "hostile one". Just a pet peeve but it's an "L" and a "1" at the end not an "eleven". Dropping the "1" is fine, but when the "L" is dropped, it just looks weird. :) Cheers!

And here I thought you really just liked throwing parties. ;)
Falcons - Panthers scheduled for tomorrow @ 11am CST.
Guess we're not advancing tonight then. Since this is a big, primary vs primary divisional game, it's cool this time. I just don't want to make a habit out of extending a 4 day deadline. It's a slippery slope.

I always read it as 'host' with a 'yl1' at the end. Then, for some reason, I would think of Ed Boon popping out and saying 'toasty' from Mortal Kombat so would then read it as 'hosty' in that same annoying voice. This is the shit that goes on in my head. It's not pretty. :(

The GB/STL game isn't over just yet, but I'm headed for a loss here in the final seconds. I will say that the game got a little boring when lyric started running the clock down to zero starting at the beginning of the 3rd quarter only up by 10. I nearly fell asleep waiting for him to snap the ball.

Other than that, good game, lyric. I hope we meet again in the playoffs.

24-14, Rams.
