CAG League Sports: Madden 12 "JV League" - We Finished 3 Seasons! Thanks Everybody!!!

You really cant look at players by thier ovr yes he is a 72 but Williams is a 88 so lets compare stats

Williams SPD 94 AGI 95 ACC 94 ELU 93 BCV 98 SFA 55 SPM 88 JKM 94 CAR 93

Devine SPD 94 AGI 99 ACC 98 ELU 93 BCV 88 SFA 67 SPM 91 JKM 95 CAR 74

The only one that is really that different is the carry williams has him by 19 and ball carry vision by 10

Isnt Devine out of the league? He was a monster at WVU, did he have 'character issues' or what?

FWIW - speed isn't nearly as important as it used to be. In fact some of the elite DEs in the game can run anyone down. They've added a lot of weight to the pursuit stat.

Actually, I'd accredit it to acceleration then. That's the key difference. He's getting off the blocks quicker than anyone with that 99. It's no secret that speed backs are the hot commodity in this game though. It's dumb to try to deny that. Again, you can't really blame Tanabeo for that though. But it is "how to win at Madden 12". Just the way the game is.

A speed back is why I did so well with Best, he was only an 80 last year. I think his speed was 96 and acceleration 97 though.

I have just as many problems defending against it too. You have to blitz the corner, or whatever side you think it's going to go to. Not sure if it helps but sometimes I spotlight(or whatever it's called) the running back.

Hoping N3XTLVL gets back to me soon. We were scheduled to played at 3:30 PM EST, but it seems we both had things come up. I had to pick my car up from the garage, and they were running behind (waited there 45 minutes...ugh), so I tried PM'ing him from my phone to let him know I'd be about 15 minutes late. I'm not sure if the PM actually went through or not though because it's not showing up in my sent messages.

I did get a PM from him though (at what appears to be 3:34 PM EST) saying he had company over...and "lets shoot for 3". Because of the timestamp, I can only assume he meant CST (which is my timezone). I've been sitting in the league lobby since I got home. It's 3:15 now. He popped on XBL about 6 minutes ago, and I tried messaging him on there, but by the time I got the message sent, he was offline again. Not sure what's going on, but I'll wait another 15 minutes. I don't mind rescheduling at all since we both had things come up, but a response would be nice too.

EDIT - He just signed on. Good. Glad we can get this in now! :)
Who is taking over the Falcons? I need to schedule my game with them, or do I just need to find a sub?
I posted earlier this week that I'd sub since both of my teams are off this week. Let me know when you're free.

Saints - 24
Eagles - 16

Great game with N3XTLVL! I jumped out to a 14-0 lead thanks to the running of rookie Asa Fanning. Fanning was on his way to player of the week honors rushing for 105 yards and 2 TDs in the 1st quarter. This got derailed when he was knocked out of the game in the 3rd quarter thanks to a "bruised sternum" (though I'm sure it'll say something else now). Bring in Darren Sproles, who rushes for a quick 33 yards, and then gets knocked of the game...again, with a "bruised sternum".

The Eagles had the injury bug as well, as both DeSean Jackson and Lesean McCoy were knocked out of the game as well. Oh, what else happened in the game? You mean there were plays where players didn't get injured? What? Well, the Eagles roared back to trail only 14-10 starting the 2nd half, and they got the ball.

The Saints defense buckled down, however, and after finally figuring out Mike Vick's passing attack, scored another TD early in the 4th to go up 21-13. Another INT led to a Saints field goal, to take a two score lead lat in the game. The Eagles did their best to mount a comeback. There just wasn't enough time. Faced with a 4th and 7 with only seconds remaining, they opted for a field goal, to tighten up the final score. GG, N3XTLVL! This is the 2nd time in 4 games that Fanning has been knocked out of the game. I'm scared to see how long he and/or Sproles are out. At least I have 5 running backs, lol.

Saints
Drew Brees - 5-7, 99 yds, 1 TD, 1 INT
Asa Fanning - 11 att, 116 yds, 2 TDs (62 yds, 7 yds), 1 rec, 12 yds
Darren Sproles - 5 att, 33 yds
Jimmy Graham - 3 rec, 79 yds
Bart Scott - 11 tackles
Roman Harper - 7 tackles, 1 INT

Eagles
Mike Vick - 21-38, 227 yds, 0 TDs, 2 INTs
Lesean Mccoy - 8 att, 47 yds, 1 TD, 6 rec, 67 yds
Ronnie Brown - 4 att, 22 yds
Steve Smith - 4 rec, 57 yds
Brent Celek - 3 rec, 17 yds
Jason Avant - 2 rec, 21 yds
Ronnie Brown - 2 rec, 27 yds
DeSean Jackson - 2 rec, 22 yds
Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie - 5 tackles, 1 INT

Yeah great game. Im having trouble finding a field controlking run and pass offense. I chip away at the field. Oh and my guys are out for a long tine. You got lucky with no injury. Oh and i wanna put vick and jackson on the block. Jackson is injured tho
i guess the eagles had a bounty on ur rookie lol.
lol...actually, now I feel bad. Both Fanning and Sproles will be back for the next game, but McCoy is out for 8 weeks with a herniated disc and Jackson is out for 2 weeks with a dislocated elbow. Nobody does a bounty like the New Orleans Saints! lol. Not even this guy!

Yeah, when you went 4 and 5 wide, my DBs had some trouble keeping up. Vick was pretty damn accurate though other than those couple forced throws near the end of the game when you had to take more chances. As for the injuries, I'm really surprised BOTH of my guys won't miss any time. I guess maybe it helped that they suffered the exact same injury, but I really expected at least Fanning to miss a few games. Really glad I'm not going to be forced to rely on Pierre Thomas though.

Anyone free to play as the Falcons? Seem pitfall and I are having that same connection problem and won't be able to play each other.

well im subbing for the bengals at 1030 central i could after that right now we have company so im not allowed to play lol i guess my wife considers that rude

Oh I didn't realize they had an owner....whoops.

Rams 21
Bengals 17

Holy crap, DVO! I don't think my heart has pumped this fast in a long time!

Rams FINALLY get a win after a furious second half against the Bengals. After battling to a 14-7 lead at halftime, the Rams third-quarter drive stalled. In the fourth, the Bengals first got a field goal and then a late TD to go up 17-14 with only 33 seconds left. St. Louis, whose offense had been stifled all day, went for broke with a deep pass to Mark Clayton on its first play following the kickoff. Clayton ran it 80 yards for the go-ahead score. With 23 seconds left, the Bengals attempted a miracle comeback. But the Rams inept secondary finally put up a decent stand and held them out of the end zone.

Great game, DVO. I don't think I'm going to be able to get to sleep for a little while LOL Have to calm down!
TRADE ALERT:
Broncos send-
WR Brandon Lloyd, 87 OVR, A POT, age 32

Lions send-
CB Eric Wright, 78 OVR, B POT, age 28
1st round pick

PS: These numbers are from the site. I think Lloyd's OVR is 88 in-game. Dunno about Wright.
i took a second look at this and i really dont like it that much. lloyd's to old and will most likely go down next season. the first rounder ti lloyd straight up would make more since to me. i just dont see this one going through lions are just giving up way to much.

also good game lyric. as kanye west would say dat shit cra aint it j

lions v s falcons

lions won

first game went to overtime and then something weird happened the game told him he won the toss and it told me i won the toss and then it cut off the game on us.
game to started off well for the falcons then we just fell apart. but games were really fun as usual blades one of my favorite people to play in this league. he cracks me up on the mic.

anyways time for bed gg blade. also i would re-think that trade for sure. or maybe even go after jackson from the eagles since hes on the block

That was such a nail-biting first game, too bad we went out of sync, luckily though one of my safeties got hurt with a MCL sprain so he probably would have been out a little while. First game was 20-20 going into overtime. The next game the Falcons got destroyed, the Lions put a beating on them for the beating they put on the Lions in Week 2. I had a lot of fun chatting with you that 2nd game, I was getting so pissed when I was down 14.

I did dude. It's a few pages back! You are good to go!

im still waiting on matt young to play cards vs steelers, had a 2 pm est kickoff. if he doesnt show up till 2:30 i probably wont have time to play but its my secondary so im fine with someone subbing if he asks for it

my bad doc i must have missed that one

also anyone that wants to join the offical league is more than welcome to do so.
teams that are open over there are all pretty good teams but the owners started playing cheap and got kicked out of the league

Due to inactivity actually, not cheapness.

Ok so what do yall think about this? Would me giving a 2nd round pick and Wright be more fair?

I do agree that if Lloyd goes down next season a 1st round pick isn't warranted. Please more people way in so we can get this done with.

Is he really going to go down with an A potential though? I get that he's older, but isn't potential an indicator of how big of an effect age will have on the player?

What would make more sense to me is Denver supplementing with a 3rd or 4th round pick. I guess I just don't consider 32 THAT old (maybe it's because I'll be 30 this year myself, lol).

Hey guys, Looks the 'official' league has 3 (possibly 4) solid teams open if anyone wants to commit to a season there. Niners, Saints, Giants, and possibly the Steelers will all be open. Come one, come....4 lol

All 4 of the teams have been Super Bowl contenders every year, they are well built teams.

I heard that he goes down next year, and this makes me a little hesitant now to give up a 1st round. I feel like in a lot of my deals I have ended up getting the shorter end of the stick, not saying I got screwed, just didn't workout as well as I thought it would.

If people think this trade is fair or a 3rd or 4th round is warranted, I am fine with that.

In that case, I think having Denver throw in a mid-round pick would be reasonable. Most trades are fair trades when both sides feel like they gave up too much. Of course, if these things make either of you feel like the trade isn't worth it, calling it off is always an option as well.

Hope Kaster signs on today. I've been really busy with work lately and stuff coming up, so when we're both on it hasn't been a good time to play.

i think honestly think the trade would be fair if the lions changed the first rounder to a 2nd rounder that would even things up in my eyes not sure if denver likes that but in my eyes that makes it fair.. in my eyes a first rounder is just worth alot u never know who could fall in the draft or what they can become. when i give up my first rounder im thinking of guys like arian foster, desean jackson. like the big time young players that are a for sure going up or stay the same.

I'll be available when I get home from work, at 6:30 EST or so.

In the official league, Brandon Lloyd is an 85 right now. But this is the same argument we had in this thread a week ago. It's the value of right now versus the value of two seasons from now. Yes, Brandon Lloyd will likely go down next year, but I've played Blade three times, and he's very good. So is the value of a likely mid-to-late round pick and a decent cornerback that much higher than a mid/upper 80s receiver who will probably stay that way for the duration of this league?

I understand where you guys are coming from, but I don't want to do the deal if it's a second and Wright. I'd rather give up the third OR give up a second and get a fourth for the first and Wright.

49ers - 23
Browns - 13

Game started off with staticz throwing a backwards pass that I picked up and soon was a quick 7 points and it was all downhill from there. I ended up being -5 on turnovers with Hillis fumbling all over the place, receivers fumbling, and McCoy throwing picks everywhere. The Browns suck. I admit some of the picks were on me, but damn the Browns.

I'm looking for a QB and looking to shop Hillis around. I could use a receiver too, draft picks are available for trades.

I think based on stats Wright and a 1st is too much for Lloyd, but being a Browns fan and witnessing first hand how much Eric Wright sucks I'd say in reality he shouldn't even impact the deal. :)

This was what I figured. Without the 1st round pick, I don't see much point in you doing the trade at all. If people are going to argue that it's not even, it makes more sense to ask you to add something to it than for Blade to take something away...thus defeating the purpose of the deal.

That makes sense, and I agree about the value of now vs. later. So are you saying you would give me Lloyd and 2nd round for Wright and the 1st round? I would be fine with that. Or I also throw in a 4th round? Which I still probably would be okay with as I am down for still trying to get this deal done.

Yeah, Lloyd and my 2nd rounder for your first, fourth, and Wright.

Superstar, I'm going home now. Are you available tonight?

I think that overvalues Wright though it is probably a better deal. I think Wright is worth about a third (maybe low second) and I think Lloyd is early second/late first so I guess that makes the deal closer to even.
