I crashed hard after my last post here..haven't slept well the last few days. I just advanced us, so it is done and have given commish role back to n8.

Only 3 games left guys - lets power through it. Like Pitfalll said, GB v ATL this afternoon at 1pm EST. It would be awesome if KC-Steelers could happen today as well.

I think we are pretty much in agreement of a draft on Sat @ 9pm EST as well. Let's say that is our official date/time and if enough people object, we can move it.

Somebody refresh my memory on this one, but I believe in the other league they mentioned that you need to drop 7 players (or however many picks you have) before the draft otherwise the game will automatically do it for you. I started to do some prep work on this last night, but it was a little tough because I don't necessarily know every position I'll be drafting. So, even though I could just release my 7 worst players, I don't want to leave myself lacking depth at any position. Can anybody shed a little more light on this or suggest a better way to handle it?
 
I messaged LV This morning and it doesn't look I can get the Xbox out to him for two reasons! I HEAVILY AND STUPIDLY underestimated The shipping so if I shipped it would be in the range of 30 to 40 OVER NIGHT SO he could play and I definitely can't eat that. I guess I need to ship more stuff before I try to sound cool. Secondly, my lovely wife, without my knowledge, tossed the AV cables so it's not a complete system.

Seems I have to play KC STEELERS. I messaged Matt yesterday and no response. Did he say he'd be out of town? Lol
 
n8 - you are correct. The way to handle it would be to drop the 7 players you think are least valuable to you and if your draft goes differently than you plan, I think it would be acceptable to pick someone up you dropped and release someone else from another position. As long as no one is dipping into the actual FAs, it should all work out in the end.

Doc - yea, shipping on those beasts won't be cheap. I think LV should have a AV cable though, but I would not overnight that sucker. Very cool of you to try though. Make sure you pack it well, the PO is not easy on packages and the 360s are fragile.

I agree. That was the conclusion I came to of what would be "smartest" too. Just hope it doesn't get messy. As long as everybody remembers who they released (probably wouldn't be a bad idea to write it down), I see no problem with picking guys back up after the draft to balance out depth.

It just definitely needs to be known that the only FA's people can sign after the draft would be their own. I don't even want to think about that headache, lol.

You sent me a message at 11 P.M. Eastern last night. I wasn't on and I was in bed an hour later. I can play today. I've also got a game for the other league today, but what time frame is good for you?

I'm disappointed not be playing LV. We've each beaten each other 1 time.
 
Ohh haha sorry man! I know someone made it clear they would be out for a few days! I was being lazy and didn't want to go back and find it. I can play anytime from like 5cst to probably 630cst. It being valentines day the wife I'm sure wants dinner at least! Lol

I was thinking the same thing man. Would have been a great game. Being in two of the same leagues we are bound to have another match up again soon enough though. Good luck
 
Yeah, I couldn't believe Turner was coughing it up that much. I thought I missed a huge opportunity when he fumbled and I gave it right back with that interception.

Ryan Grant must've read my mind that I considering a RB change for next season. He brought it today, especially on that 94-yard run after the first fumble.

I think the best adjustment I made was when I put Nick Collins full-time on Gonzalez. You were killing me with him before that, and I think you did okay even after I made the switch, but it worked just enough to keep him in check.

One thing I know I need to work on is being able to down punts inside the 10 yard line. I have no problem kicking them there, but I suck at catching them with my coverage guys.
 
Yea, you made some good adjustments, as I knew you would. I basically became one dimensional after the 3rd fumble..It would have made me sick to even give it to Turner again.

There were two plays besides the fumble that irritate me. On that 4th and 1 early in the 4th quarter, I had Douglas on an out slant that would have been a first down..except Ryan lobbed the ball and allowed your D to get in position. I don't know wtf happened there. I pushed hard on the button, it just must not have registered.

Also, late in the 4th, that easy dropped INT by my DB would have tied the game up. Oh well. I don't think I deserved to win anyways by that point, so I am not too mad about that. It just was the icing on the cake and pretty much summed up my entire day.

I felt the biggest series of the game was right after the half. I was receiving the ball and had a chance to get back in but you stomped me and had me 3 and out. You did really well with that.

I would have liked to seen how the game would have played out without those fumbles. I am just not a good enough player to overcome being one dimensional, which you made me be. It's not as easy though as saying 'take away those 3 fumbles'. I think I would have scored more for sure, but I think you would have played more aggressively in the 2nd half and scored more too. So it's hard to say what would have happened without them. I just know that the game wasn't meant for me to win today.

Bottom line, your D caused them, you played better and you're in the SB. We'll see if Turner comes back for Season 2 though..

I'm sorry LV. He stuffed me on the 10 when I had a draw called! I had been tearing him up all game in the ground and he stuffed it that one time it mattered. I'm sorry man I had your chiefs 5 yards away with 30 seconds left! I'm sooooooo FRUSTRATED! He played awesome though! Frustrated with myself!

Sorry man! I should have won that one! Matt is a great player and I can see why y'all wanted to play! Awesome game man!
 
Thanks, man. Like I said on XBL, it was in fact an epic game worthy of a conference title game. I gambled on that last stand since you had the three receivers out but luckily, you went back to Jamaal Charles and I anticipated it. The game could have gone either way. Good game, Doc!

So we've got a rematch of Super Bowl XLV. It's going to be weird for me to play against the Packers.

Good luck in the Super Bowl Pitfall and Matt Young, the two teams I lost too since taking over the Chiefs being in the Super Bowl seems pretty fitting to me.

Great title games and I am sure a great SB to come..Congrads to Doc for stepping in and winning a playoff game.

I've never played Matt Young, but I've been whipped by pitfall enough times to hope he does well. I'm also a Packer fan, so I am hopin he can do what they could not this year.

Also, any more feedback on the trade bw myself and Doc?

Will we be able to see how our players progress before the draft? Dumb question I know but I thought we didnt see until the pre season after the draft.

I have 2 friends who signed up, one was previously discussed will be taking over the Bears, and the other who is also my cousin signed up today. He is aware of all the rules and will be repeatedly reminded of them on my end so no worries there. He will be taking the Vikings who are my secondary team. He is aware the draft is Saturday at 8cst and will be apart of it. I have messaged the commish and hope everyone is as excited as I am to be expanding the league.

I want to stress that these guys play respectfully and with class. Good Good guys. Hope everyone is cool with it. Obviously he cant post today because he signed up today but as soon as he can he will. Hope everyone has a good draft and good luck to our teams in the SB.

Trust me man! I lost by 5 yards with the Chiefs which put him in the Superbowl! Hes an awesome player strategically and it will be an EPIC game!

Do either of the owners of the SB teams have a FLIP cam or something? Maybe we could record as the game is played and post on here after or something?
