CAG League Sports: Madden 12 "JV League" - We Finished 3 Seasons! Thanks Everybody!!!

Well guys. It has been a long and enjoyable run. I have found out today that I will be losing a lot of my free time in the future due to some unforeseen circumstances. So I will, with sadness, be leaving. I am not sure if I will be back in a few days, weeks, or if ever, but hope to return eventually. I thank all of you for playing, and I really hope to join back up in Madden 13.

That's rough man, I really hope whatever the issues are they work out fairly quickly, you were great for the league and an all-around good guy.

I vote that we keep Tennessee as a secondary for Dark Rider in case he is able to come back.

Yeah, we can definitely keep them "open". My only concern would be having so many teams unavailable that if somebody joined and wanted one of those teams, we'd have to say "No, that team is being held." Honestly though, at this point in the game's life cycle, I don't know if getting any more new members is likely anyway.

I do hope that Dark Rider is able to come back though. I had some mighty battles with him. I just hope that since he mentions a possibility of not coming back at all, that's not an indication that when his free time does open up again, he may be done with Madden anyway. If that's the case, I don't know that holding the team is a good idea.

I will say, at this point, I definitely plan on getting Madden 13, and would like to continue this league next year. I would like to offer long-time members their teams back...but at the same time, I don't exactly love the logjam that the other league has where all the good teams are taken before the game even comes out.

Personally, I would be open to doing another team selection lottery, but wouldn't blame people at all if they wanted to keep their teams, and would support going that route as well. Obviously, I'm getting way ahead of myself here, as we still have plenty of time with this game left. I just wanted to throw that out there in case people were curious and for the members that have left us recently who may want to come back next year.

Free Agents

All right, time to start the free agent process. I decided we might as well basically do it the same way the other league does and pick in groups so it doesn't take forever. The difference is, we have less members, and have no need to pick up free agents for our secondary teams. We currently have 19 players, so we'll go with a group of 4, followed by three groups of 5. I just want to make sure we get this done before we advance to Week 6, so it's fair to everyone.

Since everything else is pretty much the same as the other league, I'm just going to post their rules because that saves me some time, and why fix what isn't broken, haha. :)

FA Pickup Rules

1. We will pick up Free Agents from the list in 4 groups (based on inverse standings). I will post a list of the draft order and then allow the first 4 teams a set amount of time to pick. It is first-come first-served based on that order, so team #1 doesn't have preference over team #2 and so on.

2. Any player currently on the FA wire may be picked up, regardless of positional need. The same restrictions which apply to injury replacements do not apply here.

3. When it is your group's turn, you must post in this thread who you are picking up. Do not just add them in the game. Once you've posted here, you can then add them. If you pick someone up in game, but someone else claimed them here first, they get the player.

4. You must drop a player as well. It doesn't matter whether your roster is full or not. However, the player you drop does not have to play the same position as the player you added, so feel free to drop your lowest rated guy.

5. Even if you're not at your console, you can still pick. Claiming someone here saves him for you, even if someone else gets on their 360 first.

Lol, well pitfall, I'm free for the rest of the day today except for my game against KC at 11 EST. Also Thursday afternoon could work, but Tonight would probably work best for me.

Greetings from Phoenix! Hey guys I talked to Blade and asked if he would take control of the Texans and do the FA pick up in my place. If that is ok with everyone else I trust his decision and wouldnt want to miss on something that could potentially help me

got to love games that ranked up. 4 plays over and over and over on offense exact same routes nothing changed.

couldnt stop it so i guess the plan was to just keep doing it play after play after play. hmmm he just ran it again so surprised

Bleh. Packers suffer their first loss of the season, snapping a 14 game win streak dating back to Week 11 last season. I just got outplayed in the second half after being up 21-7 at halftime. GG, Kaster.

Helluva run man, really impressive considering how much the league has improved since the beginning of the first season.
 
Kaster and I had a hard time establishing a good connection tonight. Not sure what was up, I'm usually pretty solid, anyway we're going to try again tomorrow.

Hey guys the Vikings opened back up in the main league, a new season is starting and the draft is scheduled for sunday at 9:00 pm EST.

They should have a pretty decent draft pick, they no longer have AP though.

It's a fun league and anyone in here looking to get more games in should consider joining. Basically all the same rules, but the league is full and for the most part it is really easy to reach people to play.

they dont have ap but they still got a stud running back they draft the first year so no big worries there. the team has progressed quite well

Stupid bye week, glad to get it out of the way though. I haven't been contacted for a game so I'm assuming the Chargers are playing a secondary team.

I did add this to the top. But yeah, for anybody who missed it, you can still grab a free agent if you missed your designated time (which was really just a "window of exclusivity").
