Browns vs. Steelers update

Cheesy and I tried 3-5 times last night.
We played until the 2nd quarter and madden servers d/c us each time. We are going to try tonight at 7 p.m est.

First of all, I threw like 5 hb screens. Second red worm is trashing me calling me a cheeser when I was handling him easily. Now he is accusing me of quitting while up 28-14 with 4 minutes left. Do we honestly have to replay? I mean I will, I just think hes being rude.

Usually when you get that it means it was the other guy's connection.

Yea I haven't heard anything from him yet. Would like to knock that game out tonight because tommorow I will only be home for a little bit. I'll be home from like 6pm central time to 9pm central time.

If he's accusing you of quitting, he's not doing it here. And no one used the word cheeser, unless he said that to you privately (which I guess is possible).
 
I told him I didn't have time to deal with another of his cheese game right now, I have stuff I need to do around the house before work. Hopefully his internet runs batter if we can try to play when I get home from work.
 
Also why is everyone siding with him. I was winning with 4 minutes left. Why is this even not a consideration that it wasnt something I did?

The important thing to remember right off the bat is that disconnects are nobody's fault. Whether it's the EA servers or someone's own connection, no one wants their game to disconnect, so pointing fingers will never get anyone anywhere.

I'll play tonight when I get off work, I have no problem taking an L, I've gotten pretty good at it honestly
 
I think it's just a misunderstanding. redworm got the message which says "Your Opponent has quit" which really just means that it got disconnected, but as he said he's not used to seeing that version of the message. It's Madden's fault for having a misleading message, that's all.

As for cheesing.. There's no law against running a ton of HB screens, though obviously everyone is encouraged to vary their playcalling and run a somewhat realistic offense. That said, if you know what your opponent is going to run it shouldn't be too difficult to defend it. Let's reserve critiques of playstyles for people who go for it on every 4th down or nano blitz, etc.

We were going to play Sunday but, he was home visiting friends and family for the holidays so completely understandable. He wasn't around yesterday at all so hopefully we can get it done prior to the deadline.

I didn't want any finger pointing to happen. I will take blame, I got upset when I saw him posting I was running a lot of screens on here, and his message that I had quit. Red worm, I am sorry for the misunderstanding. We can play tonight if it works for you. Once again guys, I don't want to start any trouble!

Honestly, screens are one of the easier plays to defend if you know they're coming, so someone running them constantly would not really be advantageous to that person I would think.

That could be untrue though, I never play ranked games so I haven't really seen an all-screen strategy in action.

Why not just go for Tavaris?

Guess you didn't see Darren Sproles's numbers in the other league. Had around 1000 yards receiving. :)

As for ranked games, I advise you to stay away. No one ever punts, a lot of no huddlers for the whole game, exploit plays, etc.

I only play them so I can see multiple looks at defense.

To clarify, there were no private messages nor XBL messages in the plural sense. I received one PM on CAG which was sent yesterday, and he sent me one Xbox Live message at noon Eastern time today. So he definitely wasn't making multiple attempts to reach me and I just wasn't responding. I just wanted to clear that up. I ended up being busy yesterday, but I had been on Sunday before leaving for the night and then just got on today at 2:15 P.M. my time.

I'm writing back to him now. I can play today. He did mention in his CAG PM that he wanted to play last night: "Hey man I work 9-6 mon thru fri central time. So I would like to knock it out tonight if all possible." but he mentioned nothing about not being available today, and in fact said in his XBL message this morning that he could play today after 6 P.M. Central time. I messaged him back just a moment ago.
