CAG Madden 11 League 2 - Season 2! Week 10 Deadline Sat night. TEAMS OPEN!
If that's what you want to do, I'm fine with it.
not what i want. I would love a win and stats. I am just asking if that isn't more fair?
I'll sub if you want.
Go for it, the Texans are open.

Post in the thread when you guys are done and I'll advance us.

Hey um I know I said I'd refrain from ever subbing again lol...but if no one else is able to sub I can probably do it for Zurezo right now. Assuming gregthomas hasn't already started playing against the CPU.

Edit: nevermind...that was like 3 posts in 1 minute lol.

I had to pick up a RB to give me a legal roster. I picked up the lowest rated RB in FA...he was a 46 ovr and will not be seeing the field at all

Yeah it told me your roster was "invalid" and showed you leave before the session started. It was odd.

Mine isn't frozen per say.. it just acts as if you have it paused hm.

I am sure I have mentioed this before, but I fucking hate this game. I suck severely.

I hate every Jets player. Everyone.

I SUCK at defense. I know that. But at least my Rams receiver RUN THE CORRECT ROUTES.

And, my RB does DROP screen passes.

And I pick the Jets and lose Revis for the majority of the season.

I want to blow this team up.

I gave Kellen Clemens a half and Sanchez a half, and Clemens is by far the more accurate quarterback. Half the time I don't even know if the ball is going to go to the right receiver with Sanchez. Add that to the fact that Holmes just runs whereever the fuck he wants and its like a motherfuckin circus when we are on offense.
Cag 3 is all set. Sanchez needs to be Your starter after year 3, he seems to get more accurate. Gg greg
Thanks for filling in.

I do mean that, even though it doesn't sound like it. Even though the game aggrivates me to no end, I still enjoy it.

That being said, no way Sanchez is with this team after this season if I can help it.

If I didn't have a good qb i'd be all over him. I may have some trades for you next season.
BV can you play now.
Yes, but... Apparently Madden has a rule that you can't advance more than once in a half hour. I didn't realize this applied to more than one league, lol. Since I just advanced the other league it's telling me I can't advance this one.. Is someone else around who I can momentarily promote to commish so they can advance the league?

I can do it.

K, I'm promoting you now. Just advance us (there should be 1 sim game) then toss it back to me then we can play.

just waiting for the rookie of the week best has been on a cold streak(hope 4tds is going to take it), but if not its all uphill from here

Colt McCoy got it, sorry.

We've advanced. I'm gonna play my game now but I'll do the "week ahead" post after. The XFN site is updated though so you can go check it out in the meantime.

With the way I've been playing D, you're a shoe-in.
was A HARD someones friend?

gotta set up packers - falcons
Doom's.

Bears 38 - Eagles 17. Will do a write-up in a bit.

gb - Sorry if you thought I was being unsportsmanlike at the end, that really wasn't my intent, I was just trying to play it like I felt an NFL coach would. For reference, it was about a minute left I had 4th and 3 from his 38 so a first down wins the game. Rather than punting and maybe netting 18 yards I called a run play and picked it up. Lots of coaches do that there rather than risk some fluke thing like a blocked punt, but I understand your concern so I just wanted to make it clear I wasn't trying anything untoward. :D It was a very fun game!

Bears 38 - Eagles 17

The Philadelphia Eagles brought their high-flying offense to Soldier Field hoping to improve their playoff chances against the leagues' best defense. Things started out very well for the Eagles as they marched down the field on their opening drive and scored on a 28 yard gallop by MJD. The Bears answered right back however, with Cutler quickly finding Knox on a quick route only to see his receiver dash 69 yards for a TD. After the opening drive hiccup the Bears D found their mojo again, holding the Eagles scoreless the rest of the first half while Cutler found Hester and Heap for TDs to give the Bears a 21-7 halftime lead. After an Akers FG brought the Eagles within 11, Devin Hester did what he does, taking the ensuing kickoff 95 yards to the house. The Eagles answered back quickly however, with Vick finding Jackson deep for a 69 yard score. The Bears D then went into turnover mode, getting several picks while Cutler added another TD to Hester and a Gould FG to finish up the scoring in the 4th.

Turnovers definitely played a huge role in this game, with the Bears forcing 4 - 2 picks by Vick, 1 by Kolb (on his only attempt, thanks for playing Kevin!) and a fumble by Vick forced by Urlacher as Vick tried to scramble for a 1st. Cutler threw one dumb pick on a busted play but was otherwise stellar as he has been the past couple months.

Vick was 7 of 18 for 140 yards, 1 TD and 2 picks
Cutler was 22 of 30 for 315 yards, 4 TDs, and a pick

MJD rushed 10 times for 64 yards and a score
Chester Taylor, running in place of the injured Forte, had a paltry 33 yards on 13 carries.

Jackson was the leading receiver for the Eagles with 2 catches for 95 yards and a score.
Cutler as usual spread the ball around well, with 6 different guys catching at least two balls, Knox lead the way in yards with 98 on 3 catches.

And yes, for those wondering, DRC had another pick, and now has at least one in every game he's played for the Bears. :D Bowman and Moore had the other two, while Hanson had the Eagles' sole pick.

Bears move to 9-2 on the season, the Eagles fall to 5-6.

---
Awesome game gb! I was worried I'd look pretty unbalanced with Forte out (and Taylor didn't do much on the ground as I suspected, though he filled Forte's pass catching duties well) but my passing attack was as good as usual. Would have been much closer without all those turnovers, but isn't that always the case?
You were up 21, you had it won. Whatever, gg man. (and maybe it was fun for you :p)
I know, I definitely admit that sometimes trying to play it exactly like a coach would isn't the right move and maybe this was one of those situations. I was on the 38 and had the wind so conceivably I could've kicked a FG too, but that seemed pointless as well. I suck at coffin kicks so basically I was thinking I'll run it and give you 18 yards better field position or be able to run out the clock. I've got the #1 defense to think about, I can't be giving Vick more chances to chuck it deep to Jackson! ;)
BV you are so annoying to play, and I mean that in the most complementary way possible.:)
Oh, I definitely take it as one. I wouldn't want to be on the defensive side of the ball looking at my spread offense with all those guys running around everywhere either. Knox and Hester are so fast they're basically uncoverable by one guy on short routes. It's hard to key on one receiver against my offense since I throw it to everyone.

can we get friends names in spoiler tags in the OP on the guys that don't post in the thread so it's easier to know who to set a game up through

A Hard's not the Falcons, he's the Cards. He had them to sub against the Rams (which didn't end up happening).

We do need a sub for the Falcons (where the hell is Venom anyway, wasn't he supposed to be back like 2 weeks ago?)

So, the Bears have momentarily taken control of the 2 seed. Ball's in your court, Sheriff.

In my continuing effort to punish you guys for making me give up an extra pick for DRC... He already leads my team in picks after getting 4 in his first 3 games as a Bear. During the same timeframe he has 0 tackles, which is wonderful for a cornerback. Alright, maybe the extra pick was justified. :D

Attention: A Hard's secretary (Doom)...please ask your boss when he wants to play. I'll be up late tonight, I can play before (or possibly even during) the playoffs tomorrow (probably not after), and pretty much any time on Sunday or Monday. THANKS!

Go Cardinals!
Go Cardinals!
Psh you ruined any chance of him winning by taking DRC!! I don't have to worry about him roaming the field.....I'll have Greg Olsen in triple-coverage WITH Patrick Willis shadowing him!!

I want that 2 seed! :bomb:

I don't see myself losing any more games for the rest of the season...although it definitely can happen. I'm really bad with anything related to seeding...how do they choose the 2 seed if we both end up 14-2 and have never played each other?

Conference record. So if we both won out you'd take it since both my losses were in conference.

Uber, I'm in Boston tonight and possibly tomorrow night. I'll be available certainly by Sunday night after the playoff games.

Let's hope this goes better than all of the Bills v. Jets games minus that one where you handed the game to me ;)
Should I get a sub for the Rams or just play the CPU?
They're still owned, I think he just dropped temporarily. It's another one of Doom's friends.
