CAG Madden 11 League 2 - Season 2! Week 10 Deadline Sat night. TEAMS OPEN!

Sorry to hear that azu. Anyway my apartment flooded last night and I can't turn on any electronics until we get it all sorted out. The deadline will likely slip to tomorrow at least.

Can anyone sub at the moment? I kind of need to get my game in really soon as in 10-15 minutes because of stuff that came up at work. Working from home sucks!
Hm I'd rather play tonight but I could wait until tomorrow.
What's the latest you can play? I'll probably be able to play at 7pmEST. (today)
Also if you want to play the CPU, thats fine.

Could we play around 8-8:30 eastern time tonight?

Would still like to find a sub for the Vikes tonight. Probably won't be able to play tomorrow as I'm off to Boston for the weekend again.
I can drop and just rejoin, right? I think I only need an invite if I get booted. I can bring the modem upstairs in about 10 minutes.
Correct.
Did you get my pm?
Yeah, can you just get in touch with him and have him drop since I extended the deadline?

Matt and I finally got the game in after a couple disconnects. 17-10 Vikings. The sub Vikes come away with another win...

If I read things correctly, me and the Cowboys are once again tied after this loss. AND it appears our divisional record will be identical, and our head to head is already 1-1. This division may come down to the wire.

Hey everyone, this is urgent!!!!!! Has anyone ever had a problem as follows:

We invite each other to play a game in an online franchise and it keeps giving an error "Failure to retrieve game information from opponent" or something, and then boots you from the EA servers back to the Madden main menu. Our rosters are fine, we've both reset our modems/routers...we've tried like 10 times (we've both tried inviting), but no luck.

PLEASE HELP!!! Thanks friends.

Edit: nevermind...Google is really useful....sorry everyone

Believe me, I felt dirty playing as the Vikings. The games were fun though, and I ended up having a nice conversation with Lexxon after putting on my headset, which I don't normally do in league games. I'm thinking I''ll use he headset more, assuming anyone else wants to talk. Maybe it'll help people get to know my sunnier side. :p

Okay, I've resumed somewhat normal operations. Remaining games:

Colts-Titans (Haven't heard from either, probably a sim)
Falcons-Panthers (Is Mog back? I know Venom's not quite ready yet so the Falcons will need a sub. Grab whoever)
Bucs-Redskins (Doom playing CPU)
Dolphins-Jets (sim)

We'll advance as soon as the Panthers and Bucs games are played or at 10PM EST, whichever comes first.
I texted the Titans on playing Colts-Titans soon, but it might have to be a sim if we don't hook up soon.
Alright. Any word on the other two games? I've got a simgun and I'm not afraid to use it. :D

Unless someone's around right now who can sub, I'm just gonna have him play the CPU. We're getting fewer and fewer subs and it's starting to hold up the league, so I'd just assume continue our push on to the playoffs.

Edit: He asked me to sim it. Advancing us in a minute.

Edit 2: Nevermind. Uber never gave me back the commish baton.. Will have to wait for him to get on.

I'm getting on now to advance us. Just got home! My bad. And to think yesterday I was saying to myself, if only I didn't pass on the commish reigns I could've pushed up through late last night.

I wish I'd remembered that too, oh well. We're advanced now, and I just advanced us on XFN. I'll post the update in a bit, but the Panthers lost that sim game which means we now have a 3-way tie atop the NFC. The Bears are currently the 3rd seed in that equation despite taking over the top spot in the Power Rankings.

Week 15 Look Ahead

Power Rankings Top 5

5. 49ers

Full list: http://xtreme-football.net/index.php?r=stats/powerrankings&lid=71

I'll note that since I subbed for the Texans last week too, I had a pretty good week Power Rankings wise.

Week 14 Awards:

OROW: Carlton Mitchell
DROW: Earl Thomas

Week 15 Games:

49ers-Chargers
Eagles-Giants
Saints-Ravens

Falcons-Seahawks
Jets-Steelers
Broncos-Raiders
Packers-Patriots
Bears-Vikings (Game of the Week)

I'm sure I'm missing a couple of teams which need subs, I'll update it later.

I'm talking to Pacer about Jags-Colts. I assume we'll knock it out tomorrow.

redworm, let me know when you want to play Pats-Packers. sort of weird that I'll be the one playing as the Pats this time haha.

An update on my situation: I thought our flooding issues were over, but they aren't. It's started again and now it's worse than ever. Half the floorboards in our place already rotted and had to be torn up, and now there is also water under the floors of my office (where my xbox is) which will need to be torn up. Long story short, we're probably going to need to break our lease and move, which could definitely affect my Madden availability for a while. I'll keep everyone posted.

Yuck had bad flooding here in wis a few years ago not fun to deal with

Bucs defeat the Detroit Lions 38-0. Finally starting to put complete games together with this team. Hopefully they can somehow sneak in the playoffs while we're on this roll.

Anyone around right now who can sub for the Vikings? I've got a very narrow window in which I can play this and then I need to probably pack up my 360 cause they're tearing up the floor in this room tomorrow. I'm fine with playing the CPU if no one's around since the Vikings record is a bit inflated by subs already, and I'm sure the teams behind them would be fine with that too, lol.

Bears 59 - Vikings 14

Just looking at the score you might think that I took Doom's suggestion and played the CPU, but this was actually against siradam. :D I don't know if I was in the zone or whether he was going easy on me since he knew I'm having a rough weekend, maybe a little bit of both, but I'll take it anyway. ;)

The total offense in this game was actually pretty much dead even, the Vikings actually edged the Bears a bit in yards 364 to 357. The difference was turnovers, with the Bears getting a strip sack and two pick sixes (yes, one was of course by DRC).

Jay Cutler continued to build on his MVP candidacy, going 17 of 22 for 259 yards and 4 TDs. Hester was the leading receiver with 4 catches for 80 yards and 2 scores, he also added a 97 yard punt return TD late, though I think siradam was just eager to see me run one back. :D Forte and Wayne added the other receiving TDs. Forte had his best game of the season on the ground, rushing only 7 times for 108 yards, including an 84 yard gallop.

While the Bears D gave up more yards than they typically do (364 as compared to a season average of 223) their points allowed were right on track with their season norms. They also continue to force big turnovers, with Peppers getting the strip sack and DRC and Bowman getting pick sixes (Bowman's went 103 yards).

The Vikings actually moved the ball pretty well, Favre went 15 of 23 for 295 yards, a TD and 2 picks. Peterson was only average on the ground, carrying 16 times for 71 yards (4.4ypc) but added 6 catches for 91 yards and a score.

My favorite stat of the game: The Bears offense didn't touch the ball for the entire 3rd quarter. The Vikings first possession ended in the DRC pick six and their second took up the rest of the quarter (they scored early in the 4th).

gg siradam! I appreciate you filling in. :D I had a bit of a panic attack when Briggs went down late in the 4th and was put on the cart, but he'll only miss one game. Phew.
