gg bvharris. Yeah, i took it considerably easy. You've had a rough enough go of it lately in real life;)
Regardless....the speed with which you get to the qb/hb...is incredible. Was making it really difficult for me to let plays develop;(
And for the record, the vikings playbook sucks.

It's odd, that's something I've never been able to do with the Chargers consistently, but with the Bears I'm really good at it. I think maybe it's just I don't have anyone on the Chargers who can hit the gaps the way Urlacher and Briggs can. The whole team just pursues and tackles so well. That said you moved the ball on me much better than most teams have this season.

Really going to come down to Green Bay vs New York in week 16 though. The loser likely misses the playoffs, and will hopefully give me some breathing room.

I play venom..... I've seen in other threads he wasn't around for any of his games and need subs is that still the case or is he back now

With my loss last week, we share the division crown right now. You could easily take the division. I have the Eagles this week and I should have lost the game we played last time, got lucky at the end. You also have the 1-12 Skins, which could end up a CPU game or lower-end sub. Giants are trying to give the division away. Got a big game with Green Bay in a week as well.

On that note, Eagles, I'm good to play whenever today...left Boston early due to being sick. Feeling better today somewhat, certainly good enough to do a game :p

EDIT: Just looked at the EA Franchise site--Cowboys and I are absolutely dead even in all tiebreaker categories minus points scored, which I'm way behind. Our head-to-head is also 1-1. I'd have to look at the tiebreaker rules again (assuming Madden actually gets them right) but it looks like you're in the driver's seat for the division.
 
I use my phone and it don't allow me to send them.... but ill message him on xbox live and try that if he don't get in to read the forums
 
Actually the third tie-breaker is common games, and just on a quick glance it looks like the Giants have a slight edge there, the Giants have 3 losses in common games while the Cowboys have 4. The difference is that you beat me, so there's something to hang your hat on. ;)
 
Pats barely beat the Packers by 6 today. redworm was threatening with under a minute remaining to go up by 1, but threw a pick to Merriweather at the goal line that pretty much ended the game. Great game.

Actually when a ball falls right into his lap he'll usually catch it, he just takes so many bad angles that he's almost never in a good position to get picks. He's basically just a human hitstick (and apparently a Pro Bowler? :roll:)
 
He's getting his Xbox back today, so he should be able to play before the deadline, I would guess.

I had been hoping Sheriff MasterAwesome would deputize me, but instead he sodomized me. He was very friendly about it, though! I kept the Chargers' winless season alive (0-14, and I've played I believe 8 of those) in a game that MasterAwesome pretty much dominated. I made some really dumbass mistakes, but even without those, he would have beaten me soundly. He seemed to have a play to get past whatever defense I decided to throw at him. Fun game, though.... oh, and he had the craziest one handed user pick I've ever seen. I wanted to give him a medal for that awesomeness.

And I hope he doesn't mind me posting this, but MasterAwesome demonstrated once again why, for my money, he's the funniest guy in the Madden leagues, when he said this after the game: "gg man, you have a very manly voice by the way...it sounds like you've been through puberty at least 4 or 5 times". That cracked me up.
 
Lol thanks Matt, I thought you played pretty darn good...you found a lot of holes in my defense that I wasn't aware of...you got a few wide open receivers on some nice routes. Your players dropped a TON of interceptions from some really dumb throws I made. And I checked my schedule...it looks like I actually don't play you in the other league. But if we try reallllly hard, we can hook up in the NFC championship!! Good game it was very fun, sorry I couldn't mic it up this time. And thanks for all the kind words :O)
 
PMed gbpackers yesterday afternoon about our Giants v. Eagles game, haven't heard back from him. I'm home all day, available pretty much anytime minus if I do my other league game. If still home sick from work tomorrow, I'll again be available all day, if not, after 4-5:00 EST as usual.

last heard from steggy on friday....he was moving over the weekend and we were possibly shooting for a late sunday game....or monday night...but he wasn't sure when he'd have his tv/xbox all setup...hopefully i hear from him today;)

Uh, my skins game got played? I dropped last week so Doom could play his game against the CPU due to a disconnect when he was winning significantly and have not signed back in. Even thought the record is horrible, I still play to win and NEVER said I quit...

I'll message him on Facebook for you. If it comes down to it, I can call him later. He said he was getting his Xbox back yesterday, but I'm not sure what time, so maybe he wasn't able to sign on yesterday.
 
Jags get the W over the Colts. I just noticed Cox is back next week. I think I only had him for 2-3 games, so hopefully he makes a difference come playoff time.
 
I just wanted to let everyone know before the playoffs begin that this will be my last season with Madden (for both leagues).

At some point getting my games in became a bit of a chore, which is definitely not the reason I play this game. I think I got a bit burned out as a result of playing in a Madden '10 online franchise right through to the release of '11, which offered absolutely no change or improvements over '10. Facing opponents that pass out of 4 or 5-wide shotgun sets all game, (nearly) every game certainly hasn't helped things. It's just not pleasant to play against.

Thanks to all of the dedicated members that have played, especially ubernes and bvharris for running each league. It's a pretty thankless job and both do it well.

I'm sure I'll be back in August for '12, refreshed and ready to play.

Er I am sorry - I honestly didn't think about it. I knew my time this week would be very limited due to work emergencies this week so I played since I saw there was no owner. Sorry if I am slow responding - I am typing this from my phone due to being at work late.
 
That's not really a good enough reason. Assuming you're both still in the league season 2, I'm gonna give him a CPU game against you.

Normally I would make an issue of it right now since you're in a playoff race with Lexxon, but gbpackers just PMed me and said he won't have time to play his game before the deadline. Consequently, Lexxon please go ahead and play the CPU so you'll get a win like Superstar did.

Just to clarify, no one should ever play the CPU without express permission from me or from the team owner (and even in that case it should go through the league first).
 
After a game where the Saints had 3 Picks in the first quarter and were leading 28-7 with 2 minutes left in the 2nd..... We disconnected. I'd imagine the snowstorm in Wisconsin had something to do with this.

The second game proved to be a completely different story.

sooo.. On to a second game.. where the ravens seemed hesistant to pass.... and Daniel freaking FRISCH had 243 yards rushing for 4 touchdowns..... (he broke 5 tackles on an outside toss at one point...)

This said second game went into overtime..... i don't even know how to describe this game except for Crazy.....

Final Score: Overtime: Saints 41, Ravens 35

BV or gbpackers, the Eagles are still owned, so I can't play the CPU just yet. When one of you gets a chance to drop/kick, could you let me know (via PM if it's tonight)? I can get the game in tonight if it's soon, otherwise a snow day or sick day is likely tomorrow anyways.

Good lord. Maybe it was the snow, maybe it was the fact I haven't regularly played the Madden CPU since the PS2 versions, maybe it's that I'm sick right now with a headache and whatnot, or maybe I just suck that bad--I almost lost to the CPU Eagles. Won 28-20 in the end, but I played like garbage. Although, 2 turnovers were completely random (a muffed punt and a fumble by Nicks), the two picks I'm sure I could have avoided.

So much for running up the score, eh?
 
Bv I still ain't heard from venom so its really up to u on wat to do... I hope my team loses anyways to get a high draft pick so sim would b okay by me I really don't feel like playing the cpu.... is the deadline def tonight?
