CAG NFL Season Discussion

The defense stepped it up once again with another big game to help them get the win. I'm hoping this offense can get back on the same page when Josh Gordon gets back in two weeks, but the OL has to gel at some point for them to get back to the style of football they were playing before Alex Mack's injury.

How the hell do the Steelers keep getting featured in prime time/featured late Sunday games? Out of 9 games including this week, they have 5 appearances in prime time/featured games. I know they've got a big fan base, but I'm sick of seeing them because they're not especially good.

Well Indy's effort against the Steelers doesn't look too bad now. If Davis can stay healthy, I think the Colts could win a rematch though.

It's good to see that the running game is finally getting back on track and the defense has risen to the occasion by largely stopping the Bengals' running game and the rest of the offense with it. The defense has been playing so well of late creating turnovers and giving the offense more chances to score than the other guys.

I don't understand why the Bengals aren't better than what they are. Really starting to think that Andy Dalton just really isn't very good, which is a shame since I've kind of liked him since his days at TCU. We gingers have gotta stick together.

Fantastic defensive game for the Browns tonight. They forced a fumble, got three picks and nearly a fourth, and stopped both the pass and run game from doing any damage for Cincy tonight. The offense did a good job of getting the running game back in gear, but the passing game was clearly lacking without Andrew Hawkins and Jordan Cameron tonight to provide some big plays. It was nice to see them get out of the funk that they've been in for the past three games.

Greg Little sure made the Browns pay.

The Browns suck. Just ask Jeremy Hill

Yep. Hung close with PIT and BAL to the last play in two early losses, beat NO and embarrassed PIT in the rematch. Lose with some dignity, Jeremy. He and Greg Little probably sit at the same table during lunch.

Pittsburgh's throwing up a turd against the Jets right now. They're still not out of it because they're only facing the Jets, so they are only down by two TDs.

One the one hand I feel horrible for loyal bears fans. On the other I went into the Sunday night game expecting a train wreck and I'll be damned if going in with that attitude didn't result in the funniest 45 minutes of television I've seen this year. I left at the end of the 3rd, I assume most of the major comedy was over by then.

At one point we were outside having a cig on a Packers second down and I spoke for Rodgers in the huddle, "Guess we'll just throw a touchdown here." Bam horrible coverage. Fumble, touchback? "Don't worry the Bears will fumble it before they get it far." Yep.

Seriously it was like they scripted the greatest comedy show on turf and that's sad. Their fans deserve better. Even if they do seem the most obnoxious since I'm in their backyard.

Fun fact: Cutler is being paid more money (22.5 million) for this single year than any other player is being paid for this year in the NFL. Management needs fired.

The Cutler contract extension was the best thing to happen for the rest of the NFC North in years. I've hated that mother fuck er since day one. Grew up in the same area and same time as him and he was a whiny bitch back then and still is now. The fact he is still a NFL quarterback surprises the shit out of me.

Ben Tate had me so optimistic after his performance earned me a nice fantasy bounty when I picked him up a month ago. Today, negative points. So hard to find good running backs these days.

The Packers have looked very good so far against the Eagles this afternoon. Green Bay leads 17-3, but we're only a few minutes into the 2nd quarter. Long way to go.

I wouldn't start any Browns RB even if they're doing well because the decision on who starts is so random. Terrence West did well last week with his start, but Isaiah Crowell got the start today.

My next best option for this week would have been Joique Bell. He didn't do much, but at least I wouldn't have lost fantasy points. I'm just overly concerned this week since I'm in 2nd place and facing the 1st place team, who I am 1 game behind in the standings.

Man, that NFC South is a real powerhouse, ain't it? I mean, the last place team is only 2 games out![/quote

I bet 6-10 wins it.

Gotta love how a player laying out an unprotected assistant is equal to dunking over the goal post too many times and not as bad as not talking to reporters or cursing too much in the NFL's eyes.

Yeah, is it just me or does it feel like this NFL season is getting worse and worse? So many scandals, criminal behavior, and on top of that...just a bunch of really bad teams. The Titans have 2 wins and are "fighting" to stay in the top 5 draft picks, lol.

Even the "good teams" kind of suck, lol. The NFC South is a complete mess. The Seahawks, 49ers, Broncos, and Colts have been getting their asses handed to them on any given week. How can this many teams suck? Somebody has to be winning these games.

I'm almost certain even a "feel good" story like the Cardinals is going to come crashing down come playoff time and we'll see the same usual suspects in the Super Bowl again. I fully expect the Patriots to win it this year just to leave a sour taste in everybody's mouth. At this point, I'm praying for a Cardinals / Browns Super Bowl just to make the media go "WTF????", lol.

The Raiders, three penalties on one play and that celebration after that sack with 28 seconds left!
