CAG/PS3 Red Faction: Guerrilla Night [Thursdays @ 10pm EST]
How the hell are you going to install all those games?!?!
Trust me, I googled how big the installs were ;). Also deleted a few PSN games I was never going to play.
Tonight? I'm playing right now!
well i have to play SOME JC2 everyday to feed my obession X_X thats why i was thinking tonight.

nice bubbles: i guess he was an elderly fellow who put it in the wrong gear. :) try grappling their vehicle, then the road, watch the fun :D or grapple a beam, might swing them off the bridge...hmm need to try that..

dd/zen/whoever: Ninjas Killed: 0 - Fuel Shafts Destroyed: 0. tell me where!

The fuel shafts are big circles on the ground with a tower sticking up. You have to go inside (well, underground) and overload the computer like a pipeline then make it out fast enough. You encounter one in an early Reaper mission.

The ninjas are later in the game... Might be during a mission only, not sure, never saw one myself.

I got my free copy from the Darksiders promo yesterday and played it a bit today. I really enjoyed it so I'll make sure to join in online sometime.

i knew it looked familiar but didnt know who :p

Ass hurts, hands hurts, eyes hurt. Yup, it's a video game hangover.

Something I haven't had since me, Metaly, and DD played RFG for 97 consecutive hours last summer.

You guys should've sent me a message reminding me about battlefield... I was playing GoW then looked at the clock and it was 1 or so.

I had a VGH after the first night of Gears of War 2.

Returned my copy of battlefield BC 2 bought one from the EA store using the discount, I'll be back in the game soon.

Played JC2 for 4 hrs last night....

I ended up playing JC 2 for like 6-7 hours last night. I've been trying to take over/complete all of the bright yellow 'undiscovered locations' from the map before I continue with the main game or faction missions.

I found a hell of a base atop the one mountain, complete with a big airstrip that keeps spawning different types of planes.

Very addictive game. I still have the original for both Xbox and PS2, I should dig out my Xbox and compare the two a bit.:D Though from what I remember, the original kept freezing on my Xbox for some reason, even though I bought it new.
What DLC is worth buying?
if youre planning to play with us, youll want the multiplayer dlc (forget the name) just DONT buy the wrecking crew one.
What DLC is worth buying?
The single player one is well worth it. It provides some prequel missions to the actual game. I believe it's called Demons Of The Badlands.

I played through both the original game and the prequel levels. I can't speak for the multiplayer stuff, since RF:G's online doesn't like my slow high speed, but I'm sure those who play the mp regularly could.;)
It's no Dragon Age, either.
THANK GOD.
:cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool:

You do the online yet? That's the best part of WKC. Single player is only there to get your character's level up high enough to do online.

...
I could think of another thing that could cause that...

LOL I just remembered why you shouldn't mess with the right stick too much while flying a jet in JC2. I just slammed into the water at about 400mph or so.

Too bad I wasn't recording then.

If you plan on playing with us on a consistent basis (which you should!) make sure you get the multiplayer DLC pack.

and anyone seen the shark yet?

LOL I thought it was going to be a full shark instead of that little device whizzing through the water. That's kind of stupid, but yet a kind of interesting little secret.

We used to play on Mondays as well, but people have been playing other games on Monday nights now. So no, just Thursdays (for now???????????)

I would just like to say that I would enjoy playing RFG tomorrow. Especially since I most likely won't be taking my PS3 with me on vacation the week after I would like to play both nights this week.
Just got the game and I was wondering if any of you played on other nights than thursdays.
im pretty sure no one here does. maybe on a rare occasion. a lot of people here have been playing it since release (i think) and so are only feeling like playing it once a week anymore

Ok thanks! I'll add you and a few other CAGs, I will definitely be down for thursday even though I will probably be playing most of the week.

@bomber
In case you (or anyone else) wanted to see the ninjas, they're shown in this JC2 review. Ninjas at about 7:50. Also, there is an nice stunt shown in the background right after at 8:40.

Quote from a recent interview with THQ VP Danny Bilson (part 1, part 2):

Is Red Faction 4 an example of your dedication to good games? Guerrilla did very well critically, but didn't quite meet its sale targets. Why do you persevere?

Because I believe that that game has been played by a lot more people than the amount we sold. Because it's a very good game. There is a fan base out there for it that's a lot bigger than the number of people that bought it. Combine that with all of the insane upgrades you'll see to the game that you'll see at E3 this year... it's different from the last one but similar. It's sort of a combo of the old one and the new one, so it's... I don't want my marketing guy to be pissed at me for giving away too much, but it goes back underground and it's really cool. I don't know how much I can say.

The things that I think were the problem with Guerilla were not the gamplay but the IP. Being in a dusty environment for a long period of time could get a little monotonous. It's almost simple things like that.

I think the story is way more intense this time and I think the story was way secondary to the gameplay last time. It's more integrated this time and it's a cooler story, it's cooler environments and there are elements in it that have never been in a Red Faction before as far as enemies go and... ahh (laughs).

I'm glad to hear that they're trying something different with the campaign, but obviously I hope it doesn't change the feel of the multiplayer too much. It would be interesting to see how the game plays if some of the maps go underground or into tighter, urban environments, maybe like Favela or Invasion from Modern Warfare 2.

Also towards the end of the interview he suggests that they want to do a Red Faction movie, which is weird because I'm pretty sure there's a law prohibiting any movies based on properties ending with one character saying "It's finally over" and another saying "No, this is just the beginning!"

You didn't just give the ending away did you?:hot:
@dd actually i JUST encountered ninjas on an agency mission :) tore em apart.
It's still worth (kinda anyways... not too big on that guy... his stuff seems forced/tries to be too professional about it, though I do like that he "yelled at" BC2 for blowing off single player) it to watch the stunt in the background.

Wasn't the main villain also Alec Mason's father? Pretty sure he was! ;)

Is that guy impaired in some way? What's wrong with his face?

Why does he say "blow shit up" in the beginning of the video and them bleep out the word "bullshit" later on?

He's trying to hard... I said this already.

I also never watch his shit (with the exception of JC2 and BC2... and something else a long time ago) so I don't know.

I really want to change my name to O. Schnapp now...
