Looks like I've no reason to get MNR then, since it says I won't be tolerated (that joke either).


Oh and Alpha Protocol will be $45 release week at Kmart. I was kinda looking forward to that game.

FYI the game got absolutely murdered by both Destructoid and Joystiq. It also got great reviews from other outlets mainly in Europe. I was also very interested in it, this seems like a game that is going to drop in price real quick, I'm planning on waiting.

I'm not buying it though, I was really interested in it but I have too much on my plate right now.

I want to get ModNation Racers, but with the way many games are dropping in price just weeks after release, I don't want to get burned. :(
Is the MNR demo still good for creating custom tracks that are playable in the full game? I have some ideas floating in my head that I want to see materialized, before I forget to make'em. :|

Yeah, my curiosity was piqued by Alpha Protocol, too...thought it might take Mass Effect-style gameplay and stick it in to a game that I would actually be interested in. Unfortunately, the early word is that it's a mess.

Yeah, the load times really aren't bad once you're in a gameroom. They're definitely way better than the beta.

I'm pretty sure you can do this, although the demo might have a limited set of parts. Are you going to make an Actraiser track?!?
 
Kept forgetting to post, but I heard Killzone 3 will have vehicles in multiplayer. I've also heard the "jetpack" called a "jump pack". :/

Also, 2 player campaign coop and 4 player mission coop. :whee:

I think we're the only two that have it.
I'm working my way through the single player (taking my time since I'm doing hard difficulty and no vitachambers), once that's done I'll start playing multi.
 
TRU is doing BOGO half-price on all in-stock DS games. Wonder if they'll have Tetris Party Deluxe tomorrow? Any other recently released DS games I should be aware of?

I have it also, but only played multi once or twice. If anybody does ever get into the multiplayer, I'd certainly give it a whirl.

Answering my own question: I picked up Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box (huh huh) along with Tetris Party Deluxe today.
 
Do you have Tetris DS? How does Tetris Party compare to it? I saw the guy's comment in the Tetris Party thread about it no longer having the Nintendo-themed music and I think that might be enough of an excuse for me to get it.

I thought about picking up that plus Dragon Quest V at Toys R Us, but apparently it's already been discontinued after a year. WTF?

Edit: Ooh forget I mentined DQ5, Mega Man Zero Collection is out next week! Randy, do you know how long the sale goes?

I've been doing 4-player Tetris matches online for the last 3 hours. I'm going to dream of falling blocks tonight.

The game much better looking than Tetris DS, that's for certain. Controls haven't changed much, if at all. No touch controls, just d-pad and buttons. I like the addition of the "hold piece" feature. The smoke bombs and other distractions are infuriatingly fun. The double-wide Tetris matrix is freakin' massive...I played it solo for a few minutes and could feel a stress headache coming on! I like that you can strip out all of the new bells and whistles and just play some classic, crusty 'ole Tetris, if you want to, as well.

I didn't have any problems finding online competitors tonight, either...longest I had to wait for a 2-player match was 15 seconds (and you can play Tetris while you wait). Getting 2 additional competitors in the game took another 15-20 seconds.

I haven't really dug into all of the options so I can't comment on the rest of the new features yet. I've really only noticed one music track, thusfar: a gently remixed version of the classic Tetris theme. The achievements give you a nice checklist of "cool shit to do with Tetris".

I like it a lot.

I'm fairly certain the BOGO deal at TRU ends at closing on Saturday, Metaly.

Exactly. The game calls is "practice mode". You can play while it searches for opponents (until everyone pushes "start").

At this point, it's going to be a bit before I'll get to play it, anyway. I just unlocked the intermediate puzzles on Picross 3D, I've barely scratched the surface on Tetris Party, and I made the mistake of starting the newest Ace Attorney game over the weekend. I've got backlogs on every system!

While the others are playing Copyright Infringement Racers, do you want to play some White Knight? Since Zen is GR6 we can at least beat that stupid dragon once and for all. I'm still bitter we didn't beat it the last time we tried DD, we were damn unlucky.

EA's like "Bomber sold his copy, now we can release the patch to fix the lag and fix all the issues!"
MGM/SyFy (Such a stupid freaking spelling now... I hate to use it) is like "Bomber's leaving when? Postpone season finale until a few days after!"

Amazon says Tetris Party ships in 1-2 months, WTF? Maybe I'll take my chances and see if the TRU deal still works next week.
