CAG/PS3 Red Faction: Guerrilla Night [Thursdays @ 10pm EST]
So I finished Red Dead Redemption's Single Player (Spoilers Below Obviously):

I really think the game should have ended when Dutch dies. I understand why they gave you the missions with your family, to try to get you to really start to care for them. To me it really only worked with Abigail, I really didn't care about Jack, even less so for Uncle. Maybe its just that I naturally prefer happy endings to sad ones. Also, they probably should not have hidden the Edgar Ross mission behind a side mission, I found it but only by luck. I am just glad I won the duel first time .

I think I will go back and complete the human flying machine side mission, that was the only one that even still interests me.
I personally didn't care for horse breaking throughout the entire game, yet Uncle had you doing that one mission with him where you had to break THREE of them. I would get the first two with no issues, then spend the next 20-30 minutes getting kicked off the horses right as they should've been broken.

It got to the point the one night where I just rode around with my horse and shot every horse that had thrown me off.:D
I would be up for coop, though maybe not friday. How many here have RDR? If enough people have it, would be nice to boost through some of the online trophies
I play the co-op and online mp for RDR fairly often. So if you want to add me and invite me when you see me on, then by all means go ahead. I had the one long time PSN friend(who I used to play GTA with frequently) delete me the other night for whatever reason, so I have another open slot.

I've been going through with another CAG/PSN friend and we've been doing the online challenges in the game.

If anyone still needs the 'Kill a Rockstar' trophy, I have it from killing said former PSN friend. I also already have the Posse Up one apparently, but if anyone else needs it then let me know and we can try for it for you guys.
Tempting. For one, it's a kart racing game (a genre of games I love playing), and yet it's a Sonic game, so I dunno... I'm a bit conflicted. :/
The reviews have been decent. It even has a House of the Dead themed track!

I think I'm going to grab it.

We wondered what happened to you.

And what's with all the racing game love?

Stupid Subway fire drill thing happened as I was typing this... :/

mr_steggy is my hero...
also, according to someone who must really like candy and garbage, Castle Crashers for PSN August 31st!
Who's up for some coop!

Oh man, why couldn't they have released Castle Crashers for PSN earlier?????????

It is kind of frustrating since I already bought it on xbl last year and I don't really wanna spring for another copy...

I LOLed.
It's a pretty obscure reference. 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia', season 3, episode one. 'The Gang Finds a Dumpster Baby'

Charlie: I can't sleep, dude. It's impossible. My mind's going like a mile a minute here.
Frank: Well, stop thinking about it. I'm not your father. Now go to sleep.
Charlie: No, dude, it's not that. I'm thinking about something completely different.
Frank: It's the trash, isn't it?
Charlie: It's the sweet, sweet trash.

p.s. - I'm definitely buying Castle Crashers.

That's the same episode where someone, I believe it's Dee, says, "Goddamn this dumpster baby is heavy".

That's probably one of my favorite lines in anything, ever.

One of my faves is Frank's reaction to the baby:

Frank: What the hell is that?
Mac: It's a baby we found in the trash.
Frank: Well, put it back. It doesn't belong to you.

@mrb
I checked my stats... I have 13 lined up. XD

Oh and yeah, you told us that before sweets. :D
Yeah.... I thought I had.... but I'm pretty sure I was borderline drunk at the time. Besides, I'm sure some people missed that post.

Good games tonight!

I will definitely be getting Castle Crashers, more coop is always good.
RDR tomorrow is a maybe for me as I usually play MAG friday nights but I will probably be on earlier.

The full Rock Band 3 setlist leaked out (I think Randy was reading from it at Blur night) and was reconfirmed by Harmonix... There's some pretty surprising (and awesome) stuff on it. You can already see how much a keyboard is going to change the game. Also how much longer until the entire Guitar Hero 1 setlist is in Rock Band? :)

I'd be up for trying RDR. Also, reserving a slot for Alien Swarm!

I'd be up for something tonight. I haven't gamed with you dudes in a while, and SC2 is too exhausting to play for more than a couple hours at a time.

I think I'd live if I never played those co-op modes again.

Gold Rush and especially Shootout were fantastic, though. That Uncharted style of stealthy deathmatch is easily one of my favorite multiplayer modes ever. The Old West weapons really suit that kind of game, too... no sprinting across the map with machineguns blazing is a good thing. :)

Yeah, I like that, too. Makes me wish we had played more Uncharted online.

I appreciate that you really have to wait for your moment...you can't just hold the trigger down and hope someone dies. You have to be patient, take your shot and make it count!

Good times.

Yeah, I'm up for it more often. Funny thing is, seems like most of the rest of GFB *only* enjoy co-op. I got back on later (way past my bedtime) and did a bunch of co-op with freaky, dd, and kube. Good stuff; I enjoy all the online modes in RDR myself.

p.s. - I still have Uncharted 2 if anyone ever wants to play it.

metaly, you didn't enjoy coop at all...
The competitive modes could be fun if we could get a decent sized group to play without involving pubs... I didn't have much fun the one night we did pubs as a group... :/
That was my complaint with U2 as well... we couldn't get many to play, so it was either do competitive with 5-6 people (which is a little boring) or deal with random people.

For whatever reason, co-op modes that boil down to us plowing through a bunch of AI just doesn't do it for me. Maybe if we did them on advanced and they were more of a challenge I'd enjoy them more.

Even then... I don't think it would be nearly as compelling as the competetive modes. I could seriously do that hide-and-seek stuff for hours. And strangely enough, 4-6 seems like about the perfect size for a match.

I'd be up for reviving Uncharted 2 every once in a while, as well.

For zen & DD(from the other forum I post in):
was at gamescom for two hours yesterday. met the crazy japanese guy who announced dance masters at konamis crazy e3 conference
lol.gif
i said that i really loved his presentation. he laughed and made a photo with me. so awesome.

The fact that you consider it "hide-and-seek" is probably why I don't like the competitive modes much... I've always hated slow competitive games... which is weird, considering how slow I can play single player games/coop games (ask flik/mrb/kube, I'm pretty sure they've all had to sit and watch me clear out 20+ guys in missions where I was the only guy alive because they all rushed in and died, multiple times.)
There's just something about Mary playing against other people that makes me want to run around as fast as possible.

I do think Advanced coop is a bit funner (without the auto aim and with the advanced weapons) than easy, especially after you've done the missions several times, you only had 3 missions (including my favorite, Ammunition) to go before you unlock the advanced ones.

You could always cave in and let me play.;) I played with a few CAG's last night. We did some hideouts and tried leveling up a bit.

As for the guns blazing thing, there's one handgun that fires really fast and every random player seems to grab it constantly.

SweetSweet I've got Uncharted 2 and most of the dlc so I'd play with you sometime when nothing else is going on.

RDR was fun last night, now onto to advance mode, although I'd be down to down regular multi-player as well

I am up for small groups of RDR competitive matches or U2 matches for sure. I'm sort of staying away from new games now so I am interested playing those two games and the occasional RFG.

I have almost zero interest in the RDR co-op mssions.

Four hours!
I'm glad I didn't join you guys, I went to sleep not long after you started and I still slept till noon.

@mrb
Did you want to do some RDR tonight? I'd be up for some coop if we can get one/two more to try to get the gold on the last few missions and your 10x streak.
I'm up for something tonight. I like shooting. Things must die.
Looking it up, I should get somewhere around 25 bucks for RDR, therefore I won't be trading in Battlefield for a while. Maybe we will get a non shitty rush game tonight.
I was hoping for some WKC... It feels like forever since we played... If you use a bow you'll be shooting things! :D
We'll be playing WKC Wednesday night right? But I really don't care, I cna shoot things before gametime.. I am completely passive when it comes to game choice lately.
