CAG/PS3 Red Faction: Guerrilla Night [Thursdays @ 10pm EST]

After we finished golding the RDR Advanced Coop missions last night we held off the Mexican Army for a while at that fort in Mexico then worked on some free roam hunting challenges... It was a lot funner when there was someone around who know what they were doing. When it was just a bunch of clueless folks running around just randomly "hunting" for stuff it was kinda boring, but when you're following the challenges, it gets a bit funner... still isn't "OMG AWESOME" fun, but I didn't want to kill myself. :lol:

The fort in Mexico is an excellent place to hold off enemies of all sorts from, since it has cannons and gatling guns all along the walls.

As for doing the challenges randomly it IS more fun when you have 1-2 other people who you know helping each other out in a game.

Of course, I still wish that Rockstar would've allowed you to skin animals in mp and take the hides into the towns for cash towards ammo, since those ammo reload boxes are few and far between in some parts of the map.

I've had it since that GS sale for $25 or whatever, just haven't played it yet. Not ready to commit myself all in, GTA4 style.

It's worth going all in, though I really wish they would've included the ability to play poker and dice right from the start and not added it in via a DLC pack for $10. Especially if they allowed you to initiate a duel if you felt another player was cheating at poker or dice, that would've been epic then.

That and adding the fuckin' lasso to mp. What fun is it just shooting random NPC's when you could drag them to their deaths instead.:evil:

I might consider paying for THAT as far as DLC goes, but only if it was in the same pack as poker/blackjack/dice in mp and the ability to skin animals in mp and sell the skins to get ammo.

They can keep all of the mp skins and other modes as I'm pretty happy in free roam doing the challenges.

Lies... we are a group of like minded... well, we are a group of people who enjoy each others company... errr, we can stand each other... ummm... we don't hate each other enough to not play games together... for the most part... that plays games, one of which is RFG.

First Scott Pilgrim, now Dead Nation... I love that game makers don't acknowledge that a lot of gamers don't have RL game friends. :cry::lol::cool:

At least Castle Crashers will have online (right... right?!) and the Alien Breed demo is coming out today... I think I'd pay for some Alien Swarm type gameplay on my PS3. :lol:

Yeah. I edited it cuz I admit maybe I'm not the most friendly mp player myself. But you guys definitely felt like a clique-ish group. I felt like I was in high school all over again whenever I played with the lot of ya's.

It's one thing to do so when IN high school but to ostracize people for being different in a group of gamers is like the pot calling the kettle black. We all have our own idiosyncrasies and we should embrace them. I know I certainly do whenever possible.

But if it makes ya feel any better, even our good buddy swavage(aka Mr. 420) is no longer on my friends list anymore either. Apparently I must not have taken my gaming serious enough for his liking.:lol:

I admit it is extremely cliqueish group, as for your situation I think it comes down to w things. 1) Not using a mic, it is pretty weird when everyone is talking and one person doesn't use a mic, you are ostracizing yourself from the group. If your not comfortable using a mic that is fine, but you automatically differentiate yourself from the group by doing it. 2) Most of us moved on from R* multiplayer games, you had major connection issues at the beginning of RF:G's life. If they are solved let someone know, its not like we are intentionally leaving you out. Getting kicked from the game every round can get annoying especially if we are trying to get even teams.

Actually I have a mic now, but if I have nothing to add to the conversation(since from what I remember some of ya liked to yap about sports, which I don't watch AT ALL) then I'll simply mute my headset and listen in.

As for my 'connection' issues I still have the same(768kbps DSL) connection, but I restart my modem about once a day or every other day now and aside from an occasional bit of lag it's ok for playing RDR or GTA. But I'm sure it's probably still NOT good for RF:G. Besides which, I no longer have the game as there wasn't much replay value outside of the prequel DLC due to the apparently higher connection than I have that I'd need just to stay connected to the mp for the game.:roll:

As for moving on from the R* games, I see a bunch of you talking about RDR and how you guys want to try and get this trophy or that trophy. I've offered to join if you guys needed an extra player to get the posse up one or the Kill A Rockstar one that I have, but apparently the only folks to notice that have been the members of this group who think I'm a dick or whatever.

Then again maybe he also got sick of me using my sniper rifle in RDR free roam to pick him off his Zebradonk legendary mount from half a mile away every other second and laughing about it.:lol:

Good games tonight. It was sort of funny that everyone seemed to stay on their own side during the railgun Demo match. Also I felt sorry for the one guy with the mic on the other team during Siege. :) It's fun to stomp people in matchmaking once in a while.
