CAG/PS3 Red Faction: Guerrilla Night [Thursdays @ 10pm EST]

I don't have to work Saturday so whenever.
And I have skype installed and "working" (the test call works anywho) so I'm ready to go.

Good games. I think the most memorable moment was during the Overpass game where three of us were messing around on the low bridge and the whole time MisterB was going on about how he was grabbing the nano rifle, and the next thing I knew he had destroyed the entire high bridge himself. :applause: It's pretty cool that people keep discovering new tricks in Siege/Demolition.

Maybe kube will win a game next week.

From V-Singular on the RF:G forums:

This is pretty much just preparation for DLC Pack 02, with a few small bug fixes. We'll have another mini-patch before DLC 03 comes out as well, which is mainly getting the main game ready for the DLC to be included.

The only two visible fixes you'll notice is that if you tried to get the DLC through the "Downloadable Content" menu in-game, sometimes it returned an error code, and the DLC was not displayed. This will no longer occur.

The other is for WC Challenge Mode, we fixed a bug where stats were only updated for the last round of a match.

I haven't been on this as much because my work as picked up again lately, but I'm looking forward to some smashing on Thursday. The ostrich is getting restless! :bouncy:
How many hours does DLC #1 (Demons of the Badlands) add?
Not that much really, I completed the DLC campaign in 3 hours or so... there aren't that many Guerrilla actions, though the Demolition challenges here are pretty tough to figure out. You get to use a few new weapons as well, so that's pretty cool. I personally wouldn't pay full price for this DLC, it's probably worth it if you're getting this through a gamesharing group... and if you have a fascination for trophy collecting. ;)

I sort of want to hold out for the inevitable DLC bundle, but I know I'll probably get the multiplayer DLC right away and that sort of foils that plan. I'll hold off until I get around to finishing all the collectibles/missions in the main campaign, at least.

Did you know: Every Reconstructor comes standard with an underbarrel disco ball in case there's a dance floor under all that rubble.

How are the multiplayer stats recorded? I noticed one of the saves is locked, but it's not the single player save. Is that for the multiplayer? I plan on getting the Slim. Will I lose all my online stats if I am unable to get that locked save to the new system?

What's the locked save file called, and what's the timestamp on it? That may help you figure out if it has anything to do with multiplayer.

Whether it's locked or not, it may not matter if you just do a full backup and restore. That usually makes an exact copy, although I don't know if that changes if you restore on a different PS3.

I will arrive promptly for our gentlemanly appointment of politely smashing heads in with random and ridiculously designed hammers. :grouphug:
Oh I forgot to ask. Randy did you get your PS3?!
Unfortunately, no. The tracking code that Sony sent me didn't work for a couple of days, but it just went live today. They're saying that I'm scheduled for delivery on Monday now.

Balls, I say. Balls. :bomb:

We'll miss you.

Wtf reset that answer and resubmit it.

Things are looking up: going to a midnight screening of Inglourious Basterds!

Nevermind. The "good theater" in Poughkeepsie is sold out.

Balls!

That's OK, it's not like you missed a grinders-only DM or anything. :whistle2:\" And, at least you had an excuse. We all saw xxx playing BF1943, so he's on probation.

I think we need a special RFG Monday next week to break [in] Randy's resurrected PS3.

Probation, eh? :whistle2:k

Figured since I was pretty late I would just jump into some BF action in anticipation of my new PC showing up today. So far so good with that, should have 2142 running in no time (or at least as soon as I get a copy ;))

Make sure that demo works and then send me your shipping address.

Also Sony must have secretly designed all PS3s to fail a few weeks before the slim launches. That's some serious foresight.

I just got back from seeing it, it was not as funny as I hoped but still a very enjoyable movie.

The game froze up on me so I'm going to call it a night. Good games, everyone. About three hours straight and we didn't lose a single game. :applause:

Meh... Wish I could've been there. Playing Thursday got me the bug again.

I ordered a new power supply, everyone cross your fingers that's what the problem is.

Yeah this seems like the only game I have where most of the players on on the west coast, which means I am usually the one that has to leave early . You really should have invited that one guy with the southern accent into the party, we could have simply won matches twice as fast lol. I swear no one better pick the damn rainbow colored fish that I got :bomb: .

There's some goofy deal where Amazon's giving away Big Kahuna Reef for free, and it comes with a $5 MP3 credit. Which means $2.99 Red Faction soundtrack!

Or you know, you could use it for other music. But this is the Red Faction thread!

I'm switching back to the blue and purple color eventually, but for now I need to be the gay fish squad's silver representative.
