Multiplayer DLC details! $7 for 8 maps and 2 modes.

New Maps (Playable on all but Siege):

  • Puncture
  • Broadside
  • Compound
  • Division
  • Equilibrium
  • Gradient
  • Haven
  • Remnant
New Modes:

  • Bagman
  • Team Bagman
For those that enjoyed Red Faction 2, you may recognize the mode names above, as we've brought them back. Your objective in both modes is to grab or protect the bag, and then retain possession for as long as possible. Both new modes can be played on all of the non-DLC maps as well, which can make for some very interesting matches. If you ever wanted an action-filled match, try Bagman with more than 10 people on a small map.
We're planning to launch our Multiplayer Pack for both Xbox 360 and PS3 on September 10th, 2009 - for only 560 MS Points, or $7.00 on PSN.

My baby's back! My PS3 is back where it belongs and running flawlessly.

I've got 2 more NIN shows this week, plus we're in the midst of the big back-to-school crush at work...but come hell or high water I'll be around for RFG night on Thursday! Save me a seat, please.

The video shows two maps, and I already hate one of them Haven=Excavation only worse :cry:. The other map looks pretty awesome though. The new mode is cool I guess, getting no points for kills that aren't the bag man sucks. Hopefully that doesn't apply in team bagman.

Volition made an error in their original post; the multiplayer DLC is coming out on the 17th, not the 10th.

Anyone not planning to get it? Don't let me down, fishies! :)
 
Good stuff, glad I was able to get in some games. When that map pack comes out on the 17th I think we're going to have to bring back the marathon night because I'll definitely need my hammer fix by then. :bouncy:

The 18th is one of my Fridays off, actually...I'm in!

If we're going to do an all-nighter we need to get DD on with us, too!
 
Assuming the new power supply fixes my PS3, I may be able to join in for a bit during a Thursday-Friday all nighter. If y'all do a Friday-Saturday all nighter I'd be good all night. :whee:

Well, it appears as if my internet is holding up, which means I'll be joining CAG RF:G night tomorrow night. So, there's no gas stations for me to run into on Mars? Damn.

So what modes do you guys mainly play? Deathmatch or something where I can get some real use out of my sledgehammer skills?:D

LOL How do ya accept invites into the game again? It's been a while since I tried to play this game. Or the online modes at least.

EDIT: Alright, it's looking like my connection is still crap when it comes to these games, though I was in a bunch of them the other night with no problems whatsoever.
