I'd play some Uncharted if anyone's on early. Also I'm just about sold on Blur, even though I hate paying $60 for a game. Whaa-ho!
 
Oh, hey bubbles... SynGamer isn't even a mod. He probably just bitched to one and posted the original post link. For future reference, mods have differently colored names and a full list of those can be found here. Pretty damn stupid it was merged anyways. Most games have a clan thread and a general thread. I say complain to mods or have smog start a new one for the clan and make it damn obvious it's for the clan. It's opposite of what smog was going to do, but you can see how this clan thread turned out, S4 can be the same. :lol:

@zen, now that we boosted you up, no more all nighters.

@the thread: Were keeping the existing socom thread as the new Socom clan thread, we cant lose 2800 posts. I'll let smog decide what he wants to do in regards to the "general" thread.

Thanks for the Split/Second video, I've been meaning to look one up. Of course I'm a little biased at this point but I think it doesn't look as fun as Blur. Dynamically changing tracks sounds like it could be fun, but most of the time I couldn't really tell what the guy was doing to cause all the explosions, or whether they were being caused by another player or something else. Blur has that Mario Kart satisfaction of you shooting/being shot at with energy bolts/lightning/exploding blobs/etc.

I could go on but I think I'll wait till both games are closer to release. Demos for both games seems pretty likely.
 
So, I've been playing the BFB2 campaign this week and I kinda love it. Awesome weapons, massive levels, great characters. The banter in the game is genuinely funny and I'm finding the plot really engaging. I haven't ventured online with it yet.

Anyone want to get together tonight and do some multiplayer? I know Allah, Zen, and Sweetsweet have it...anyone else not speak up yet?

Oh, and for Metaly: "Parklife" has always been one of my favorite Blur songs but that video's unwatchable.

I mean it's literally unwatchable. It can't be watched.

1) That BFBC2 video was hilarious and informative. I never knew you could spot at all.
2) I don't know if I'll have any time to play games tonight, but if I do, I'd play some BFBC2.
3) Where's the thread about playing Bomberman tomorrow? Is that the variety game night thread? Nevermind, found the variety night thread. I may have a buddy over at my house tomorrow night, so he and I might jump in if we can.
 
had lots of fun playin bfbc2 with you guys. now you see why we need to do that more often :D
your deaths are especially important to me as it helped me rack up near 7k that last game woot
once you guys get your defibs its easy to get insane points :)
 
That WAS a lot of fun. I could definitely do that more often. Wish we could get more than 4 people in a squad, though. Killzone 2 definitely did that squad/proximity chat thing better. Frustrating to have mdamore, starkkat, and option4 one the same team and not be able to communicate with them.

You got 7000 points just by reviving us? That's awesome. I want one!

fuck that Sky-Kid dude, though. fuck 'em hard.

and ya, that guy was the utmost of douchiness.

hopefully a future patch could add proximity voice. unlikely tho, since EA doesn't give a crap what you think once youve bought their stuff.
 
I don't understand why they didn't just put in a 'hold button to talk to entire team' or something, in addition to squad chat. Regardless, that game is really fun.

Don't forget to pick up kits on the battlefield, you get all the stuff of the person who died. I racked up some points too by picking up a medic kit which had defib (I don't yet).
