dd is always hard to hear. some peoples mics are just quieter, not much can be done.

Yeah DD I usually have no issues hearing you, I just assumed your regular headset was dead and you were using an eyetoy or something last night.

You did sound more echo-y as opposed to your usual clear voice.
 
Earlier in the night I was using the warhawk headset but switched back to the official once it charged for a while.

@dd i think it was you i was playing ao2 with right? ya basically had my game muted through our whole play through cause i couldnt hear you haha. everyone else sounds fine. no idea..probably just the way your signal gets to me...crap if i know

I could hear everyone fine but couldnt hear mdamore at all. Also NHL Playoff Seedings Set. Vancouver bout to run into some FIRE in round 2 Dasfikillo (sp?)

What fire? Vancouver can beat any team in the league. No worries though, if we meet in the playoffs, Detroit will learn that first hand.
 
Ya Vancouver can beat any team in the league. Just not 4 out of 7. Look at the stats. They have what 3 or 5 more points than the Wings who were decimated by injuries and are running with a rookie goaltender. Thats not very good for the highest scoring team in the West and the supposed best goalie in the league. When the Canucks run into solid defense its trouble for them.

19 straight years in the playoffs.
10 straight years with 100 points.
Back to Back finals appearances.

Those are things Vancouver fans can only dream of. In Detroit, it is reality. I look forward to mad smack-talk when the games begin :)

Well the only way there will be a Vancouver/Detroit second round is if someone upsets San Jose or Chicago in the first round. As much as San Jose loves to choke, I don't see them losing in the first round, nor Chicago to Nashville.

I'd love to face Detroit in the WCF though! They are a monster team and it would be good to pay them back for 03.

Also I highly suggest you do not bring up points standings as any self respecting hockey fan knows that with all the loser points being handed out like candy, teams like *cough* Detroit with 14 *cough* have their point totals inflated a bit.

Price seems decent enough for an external. I know Iomega used to be an ok brand but I've got nothing to say (good or bad) about them now. Decent reviews on Newegg.

Short answer... If you're satisfied with the features it provides, get it. Don't store stuff on it that you can't do without/that isn't backed up somewhere else (meaning keep your financial records on that plus your desktop, not just that alone) as there's always the possibility that something could go wrong.

Could you find/"build" one cheaper, yeah, but not by much.

But yeah, iomega originally made a crap ton of floppy replacements (jaz/zip mainly) and tape drives. They are now owned by EMC so the question should be is EMC a good brand... actually the question is pointless since I don't think there's much difference between external hard drives aside from the interface (internal (PATA or SATA, 3.5" or 2.5") and external (power button, lights, external power (vs USB power), USB or Firewire or eSATA)), build quality (plastic vs aluminium, passive or active cooling), and what kind of hard drive it contains (amazon reviews say its a seagate barracuda). Most external enclosures have a controller card from jmicron (I think that's the brand, haven't researched in a long time) so they're all pretty much the same, though I'm sure some of the really high end ones may have a "better" chip.

I was thinking about it, but even though it's got that luxurious right analog stick to control the camera, I'll probably stick with Monster Hunter Freedom Unite on the PSP. I've also put a considerable amount of time into MHFU already, so it's more appealing to continue building up that character.

If enough people want to play but don't have it, I'd consider funding a gameshare group for it since I think it's on the PSN store.

Just noticed you've been listening to The Shins lately, metaly...you should also check out Broken Bells, if you haven't already. It's James Mercer (the lead singer of The Shins) with Brian Burton (aka Danger Mouse from Gnarls Barkley). Their new album is pretty excellent.
