CAG/PS3 Red Faction: Guerrilla Night [Thursdays @ 10pm EST]
Never saw Farscape either. But it is further down my list of shows to catch up.
sounds like u need to change your priorities
Not much consideration, but a little.
your loss :p

on a bc2 note: i just read the full change list. and it does indeed look like the reign of the attack chopper is at an end. faster tracers, crappier cannon, and stronger AA guns. :(

Another dumb change:
1. faster repair/faster overheat: the overheat doesnt matter if you pulse-repair. makes it easier for tanks to sit with an engi behind em and be invincible = bad

A good change:
1. longer mortar reload. stupid mortar whores can suck it! i still think there should be an 'ammo' cap on this. 1-2 shots, then reload could be whatever. can use their two shots quickly, or not.
NewsRadio, YES! I believe all of that is on Netflix streaming. It's a little weird watching it now since it has a laughtrack, but it's still great. Everyone on that show was brilliant.

Also I assume nobody mentioned Arrested Development because it's just accepted that it exists on a level above all other shows.
The cast on NewsRadio is insane...so many funny, talented people on that show, especially looking back on it now: Dave Foley, Phil Hartman, Andy Dick, Stephen Root, Patrick Warburton, Joe Rogan, Norm MacDonald, Toby Huss, Bob Odenkirk, Janeane Garafolo, Kevin McDonald (and I'm going to stop now because I can do this for hours). I've probably seen every ep at least 3 times and I still find them hysterical.

Oh, and I included Arrested Development in my list!
For some reason I could never get into News Radio at all. I tried to give it a chance but it never clicked.
Where's your Canadian pride, Flik? Aren't Phil Hartman and Dave Foley national treasures? ;)

And, yes, Scrubs does deserve a special nod for being able to balance drama and absurd comedy in a way that no other show has been able to. The eps with Brendan Fraser dying make me cry every time I see them.

In conclusion, here are some NewsRadio clips that I find particularly amusing:

There have been so many insanely talented Canadian comedians that there simply isn't enough room on my plate to eat them all.

You can tell I haven't had anything to eat today.

Yes while I mentioned the BBC version of The Office as best. Every show mentioned here would easily be in a top 5.

Also how dare you not include any clips from the Titanic episode, stargate defender (I remembered the name without any help), or the one where they were throwing away the sandwich machine. Newsradio died along with Phil Hartman, I refuse to accept the existence of the Jon Lovitz episodes.

EDIT: Metaly & Flik up for some SSFIV tonight?

OMG, I remember loving NewsRadio when it was on. I watched it almost as much as The Simpsons in syndication years ago. This was when I was in middle school, so I don't really remember what went on in that show, but I do remember laughing my ass off from all the hilarious banter they had.
@freaky: Thanks for the tip on that nearly-free Zune car kit. Mine just arrived today!
No problemo. I had initial problems getting it to work, then realized I should let the car kit auto-seek for the best radio frequency BEFORE turning the radio on. Sound isn't perfect (wasn't expecting it from an FM transmitter), but for $5, I ain't complaining. ;)

I don't think I've got anything going on tonight so I'd definitely be up for some BFBC2 at 10pm EST or so.

Metaly: I can do some Splinter Cell on Monday night, if you're not playing RFG then. Beyond that, I'll be in Montreal for a week so we'll definitely have to play when I get back. I know Creid8 wanted to play, too...maybe you could connect with him if you don't want to wait?

My car has an AUX port but my GF's doesn't...I'll mostly just use it on road trips with her so I can DJ while she drives. Much to her delight, I'm sure. :bomb:

I'm up for Splinter Cell, Street Fighter, Monstering Hunting, etc., etc. Also free MW2 weekend has started! Last night I was on a team with a guy named HERESMYPENIS.

The Left/Rights is just Jimmy Urine and the other big guy in the band's side project. it is weird. yeah I have seen them alot. Jimmy signed my boobs, lol. We partied with KMFDM a few times too when they came by. Peace

Yeah that sux too I was great at taking down choppers. damn. and why aren't they fixing select targeting and the m1a1 stats yet...grrrr...
recon is silly 1 more motion sensor but less mortars times, huh...

Sorry I missed SF4 last night, Mr. B. I'll probably be playing some today.

Also we're going to play some MW2 before
Star Trek fleet night
if you actually wanted to try that. :)

Test Drive Unlimited 2 is on Amazon for $50 at the moment. The first one was totally awesome so I'm definitely getting the second, barring any disastrous changes. Also it's not out until fall, so that's plenty of time for you to fully recover from your summer racing game hangovers.

The first TDU (360 only) is also pretty cheap. Not sure how many people are playing it still (I would!), but seriously, it's a lot of fun.

Hmm.

Game comes out on my birthday. If the price sticks at $50, I might be interested. Especially if I can keep rolling my Amazon pre-order credits towards new games.
I'll get on some bfbc2 later tonight
hmm didnt see this in time to play with ya, but after playing 6-7 hours today already, dunno if i'd have been able to X_X

dont forget to hit me up for mw2 kube. im planning to trade it out next monday

May 27th will also be my very last RFG night :'( at least i got my ostrich before i have to leave.

Not trying to slag Mod Nation Racers (I want the game) but I saw this article and thought some of you dudes might be interested in seeing it for yourselves.

It's an article with a video showcasing the load times in MNR.

http://arstechnica.com/gaming/news/2010/05/video-of-modnation-racers-loading-times-warning-long.ars

Maybe waiting for a patch to clean up the load times before making the purchase is a prudent idea? The game is getting glowing reviews, but this one thing keeps sticking out like a sore thumb. It reminds me of earlier in the year where I shelved Bayonetta in January pre-load fixing patch and never got back to it, and the load times weren't this long (but more frequent).

Sucks about the load times in ModNation. I've read a bit of hubbub about that recently. I don't find the times in the video to be terribly excessive but I'm sure they'll feel long-ish in practice. Would have been nice if, just for a fair perspective, the dude who made the video compared the wait to load times in other games.

Also would have been nice if he could have resisted the urge to exhale so dramatically each time a load screen came up. Unless he has asthma or just walked up 3 flights of stairs, that little tactic struck me as petty and unnecessarily theatrical.

I'm still fucking buying it, though...I think the fun to be had will ultimately outweigh the fact that I had to wait a few seconds to have it.

I'd be up for some BFBC2 tonight. I'll be in Montreal for Kinetik until next Tuesday so it'll be my last night of gaming (on the PS3, anyway) for a week or so!
we are the online community for the most part
I lol'd then I teared up. Goddamn it.

And yes, I'm game for some BFBC2 tonight.

Yeah his melodramatic bullshit was pretty silly, but after seeing the video I am definitely going to wait for word of a patch to fix those load times. I am sure the game is gangbusters but I have enough of a backlog right now that even an issue like load times is going to hold me off from games right now.

Did some searching... Supposedly the people on PS3 with the SPECACT guns got it by calling EA. Don't know what they said to have it unlocked on their account, but Sony was/is investigating/disabling the SPECACT guns from accounts when they know about it.

I also hear Sony pulled out from the Dr. Pepper promotion and that's what's holding it up.

Also, to everyone that plays medic (I'm looking at you freaky/mrb). If you don't know where I got shot from or don't know that there's no one around, don't revive me.
In this episode of "freaky says the darndest things":
Ughh, getting this package to fit is a lot harder than I imagined. :/.

Freaky: try spitting on it.
Way to takes things outta context, DD...

About that tweet...
I wanted to send a package out, without it costing too much to ship. I didn't have a small box, but I did have a huge bubble mailer and a cardboard insert. Thing is, the cardboard is almost as wide as the mailer, and it was a real tight fit... I kinda had to finger it in to open that tight space up so it can slide in easily. Once I had it fit really snug and shut, I took it to town and mailed it out. ;)

This is all you need to read.

OMG, it looks like what we've been doing every time we play online, just from a different angle! :whee:

In all seriousness. The Onslaught mode... what is this exactly?

EDIT: I just read the Oh snap! link... This sounds like it's gonna be pretty epic. ;)
I don't know if I'd pay $5 for it...
Yeah I'd like to know more about it before dropping a Lincoln or more. But if it's free, I wants.
