I'll play tonight, and I'll host if Paco doesn't make an appearance.

What do you guys want to play? VCTF? TDM? Warfare?
CTF!!!!!!!!! or TDM? Either really :D

I'm here. What is it? CTF? Alright. It'll be up in 10 minutes.

Oh yeah I was buying my new Photo scanner. FINALLY 9600 DPI in scanning res! This is hardware NOT software either!

server goes up in 10 minutes. I just want a little bit more time to hug my new scanner.

Some awesome games tonight, guys. Possibly the most intense/fun I've had for UT3 CAG night.

Paco, do you have a mic? If you do I can't hear you. I know mine's working because Randy and I were talking, but he's the only one I was ever able to connect with.

Forgot to plug it in again. I was about to, but then I started getting shot at. It's hard to do it quickly with a keyboard and mouse setup.

Ah. I plug it in while everything is booting up. That, and I'm on a regular controller.

I kind of feel like it should be... strongly encouraged that we use headsets for CAG nights. Team games with no communication can be extremely frustrating.

Tons of fun tonight! Needed more StrandedBrit, though. ;)

We need more people with headsets so we can have better strategery.

I leave tomorrow for Chicago/Lollapalooza and I won't be back until next Tuesday...so no Unreal for me this week.

Please avoid having fun in my absence, OK?

Seems like I keep missing the dedicated timeslot.

If any CAG wants to hit me up for a game though, feel more than welcome to send me a friend request.
I have another concert this week...going to see NIN in Connecticut tonight, so I won't be around.
How dare you leave cag members for a NIN Concert. :D Enjoy the concert we will miss you If we even play it looks doubtful...

Anyone playing right now? I'm getting the "official" map pack right now, but it's not going very fast (wish I could just d/l on my computer and transfer via USB). As soon as it's done, I'll try n' join in.

Sorry, just got home from the post office and grocery shopping. Anyone want me to still make the server? And when I start college again, I can't make it on thursday. I can donate my PS3 as a dedicated server though.

Yeah throw it up. :D Anyone can add me that wants to. I'll get on now.

Damn Paco you always have your chat on but I never hear you, if you're using it. Maybe it's a problem on my end... but I can always talk to Randy fine.

I hate my job, just got home, 15 hour day dealing with asshole hospitals and radiologists. I'll catch the game next week.

I just put the headset on. While I had the headset plugged in, I was never wearing it. on TF2 if I'm not wearing it, it comes through the speakers. It seems on UT3 it only comes through the headset. Oh well. But you heard me. We were finally using voice chat. Hah. I was sucking in the beginning. I had to get my trusty mouse.

Nobody was talking the whole time I was playing. I'm pretty sure my teammates could hear me, but I felt like I was talking to myself, so not real inclined to communicate...

The game's 10x more fun when everyone (or at least many people) uses their headset.

When you and I were playing 1v1 I had my headset on but couldn't hear you, if you were using it.

That game was slightly laggy, though. Maybe jittery is a better word, because movement was consistent and smooth, but it was like your character was missing frames of animation :)

And yes, I've said it many times, voice chat should be at least strongly encouraged, and ideally standard/required, at least for CAG nights.

I know...WTF was I thinking, right? ;)

I should be around this Thursday!

Ditto this. Paco's always got a check-mark under "headset" in my friends list but I can't seem to communicate with him.
Hey MattTheCAG We were using mic on Thursday. Why are you still saying I"m not? o_O
My post was either made before you and I made voice contact, or it wasn't directed at you. I can't remember :)

how are people enjoying the speed? I think everyone enjoys the health mutators since health is so damn scarce in the game, but I wonder how people would react if I made the game even faster then it is right now. At least in movement. And anyone want to start off in Searchlight instead of Facing Worlds this week? More people seem to join when playing on Searchlight. Though Facing Worlds is a great warm up exercise.
Could we possibly move the "official" start time to 9pm EST? Or would that seriously inconvenience one of the regulars?
Earlier the better, IMO.

I'm pretty content on the speed right now. Last week one of the games was crazy fast, it was fun but if it got any faster I don't think I could keep up. On a mouse and keyboard, I probably could, but with a Sixaxis it seems a little unrealistic - not precise enough for that kind of speed.
isn't that the time I've been putting up the server?
Yup, it usually is...but the thread title says 9:30.

I'm just proposing that we change the info in the first post so that everyone arrives ready-to-play at the same time.

I think FacingWorlds is the least interesting map in this game so I'm OK with the change. I hate playing the same modes/maps over-and-over again (except for Suspense, which I can't ever seem to get enough of!) so anything you want to do to mix it up would rock.

That said, I don't think we've ever played Warfare on a CAG night, have we? ;)
I'm pretty content on the speed right now.
Me, too!

I'll see if I can get hone to change it.

I've been starting them at 6. though officially, it has always been 6:30. And in all fairness, I've always been using a mouse which explains above average aiming ability. But with my analogue sticks almost busted by huge sticking, I can't really play with it since I keep walking even when not moving.

I wish I could use kb, and mouse. I can't because I don't have enough room. I guess the controller will have to do. I noticed how you moved, and avoided some stuff I really though was going to kill you. xD

Jman, I use a mouse and CONTROLLER. I use the thumbstick on the controller to move around and the mouse to aim around and shoot and change weapons and jump.
When I played last, I didn't hear anybody. Was I the only one using a headset at the time?

It sucks to not communicate.
Nah, when you and me were 1v1 I had mine on and couldn't hear you. Check to make sure the mic isn't muted or some other setting on the hardware itself. That happened to me once after letting my roommate use my headset.

Otherwise... I don't know what's wrong.

I'd almost prefer to do team DM for a change. CTF is fun but a little variety never hurt anyone. It would also help keep the game CAG-centric. Sometimes it's less fun when a bunch of random people get on.
