I'm going to have a practice Deathmatch today just to warm up since I feel I'm getting rusty. If anyone wants to join just look for someone that uses GENTLEMEN as their server name.

And the link I posted up above has all mutators and maps and all kinds of cool stuff to get.

Unfortunately, no you can't. I know it's a hassle, but you can't. It sucks and it's annoying as all hell.
 
which maps are they? I can download em and use em. Nobody really requested. I tried a few, but friends were having problems with em.

somebody listed it as being 19.99 on amazon a couple days ago.
it is 19.98 clearanced at target.
check target in store not online.
 
that sucks. ut3 freezes a lot for me compared to most games. You'ved played with me before paco, pre-summer. I haven't touched it since pre summer though, so I'm a bit rusty, but yeah mouse. My mouse was pretty wonky last night though. There were times when it would just make me look at the sky/floor during a firefight. Do you support mouse/kb in the games you host?

I forget which ones we played on. I know we definitely did campgrounds2k8 b/c that was the first one. Others are converted ones I did myself (the conversion that is not the map) that weren't on ut3mod, but are considered some of the best in the pc ut3 community.
 
How does everyone feel about downloading those extra maps Hone has on his server? I'd love to change it up a little, especially if they're well-regarded enough that he went to the trouble to convert them. Little variety never hurt, either.

Also, I might be on later tonight if anyone wants to DM. I'm used to playing on Thursdays still, so if anyone else is free, let's do it!
 
my conneciton has been giving me problems.
there was a ton of lag last night. bullets would warp
i couldnt shoot anything it seemed. very annoying.
 
It's acting weird. I was playing Fight Night R3 and it crashed. I booted it up and it wasn't reading discs. I turn it on later and now it reads them somewhat I still should send it in though because it gives errors when playing blu ray movies. I did manage to get it to boot up warhawk right now, but it also shows no icon when putting discs in now, or a weird string error message.
 
I don't think so. I'll still have teh PS3, but it isn't reading discs. If it does read em, it will crash the game in like a few minutes or a hour at most. So no, I can't host right now.
 
ok, so I guess I'll be hosting on Monday. I guess we should shoot for a one or two of the "new" maps. I think most people have campgrounds2k8 so if you don't have that please grab it before Monday as I'll be running it in the rotation. Most people liked it. Let me what people want to play as well.
 
This game releases in Japan on the 18th. Even if it only sells about 10k that will be a fresh boost of new people to play against.

One of the mods on the current Biohazard level keeps crashing my game, and requires a hard restart. Is there anything new that we don't normally use? I have the map pack and Campgrounds2k8. Everything but maps are downloadable, right?

I'm having exactly the same problem.

I'm going to disable my mods and see if I can stay in the game.

EDIT: That didn't work. Trying to join you guys in Biohazard and it keeps crashing.
 
Just lost the connection, kicked out of game.

Also, when I first started loading campgrounds it said I was missing a file and kicked me out, but let me back in later.

This is some fudged up stuff.
 
I'm not using any mods? that's odd. I'm just using the standards maps + campgrounds. I'll have to look into this later this week with one of you guys.

Just had this happen to me as well, for the 2nd time!?!?!?

Think I'm gonna call it a night with all this stuff. Nice time though while it worked. Reminds me I need to practice.
 
I'm looking into this issue. If someone wants to test with me this week. I'll try to resolve it by next Monday. Minus that terrible bug how was the rest of ut3 night?
 
what a pain in the ass this games online is.
id gladly pay $50 annually to be able to simpley play with friends without all the hassles.

anyway. i couldnt see the cag game through the search. im guessing im missing some sort of parameter or something.

also is there a way to toggle mods?
all i see is the ability to import and load them.
 
I also got the vampf error. Do you have a mod by that name installed, hone? If so it might be interfering in-game even when you don't activate it. We haven't had a night this inconsistent in a long time, so something has to be up.

Randy and Jman, how about that 2 on 1 in Shangri La? I was on edge the whole time, I still don't know how I beat you both.

But Jman made it right by kicking my ass 1v1 next level.

Edit: Paz, I promise it's not normally like this. No idea what was wrong but this hasn't happened in a long time. Don't give up hope!

sorry guys again for the bad night. it's my fault with mods or epic's fault not sony's. You just had to search for a game called CAG under TDM. I mean I haven't installed anything new since last time I hosted matt. I think vampf might be a player model actually. I'm going to clear them all out and just leave the maps.

I'd be up for CBP3. CBP1 and CBP2 were quality releases. I'd expect no less. I was also looking at adding the make something unreal maps as well.

Happened to me as well everytime. I just ended up clicking hones name, and joining again. :)
 
I updated the original post to reflect the new changes. I added links to all the custom content.

Edit: There's been an update to the map Nowhere. Anyone who has d/led that please red/l it as of July 2008.

Damn, hone, thanks for being so organized for all the custom maps, etc and hosting them. The archaic system UT3 uses with all the files having the same name is so frustrating, but this helps stream-line the process about as well as it can be.

BTW hone, did you have your headset on? I tried talking to you but never got a response, not sure if you ever replied and I just couldn't hear you. I could hear Brit and Randy, so I know things were kosher on my end.

After I got that error once, the next and subsequent attempts to join my system froze entirely, even with user content disabled. After that the connections were inconsistent.
 
I really want UT3 night to do well, so I put a lot of effort into organizing it and scoping out good new custom content to try out in our nights. Plus if we're all using the same USERDATA.JAM files there would be less problems when running nights, like last night :(

I had my headset, but my g/f was studying for something so couldn't talk. I could hear you fine though.

The problem should be fixed for next week though. Would people be interested in doing something before next monday?
 
cool, what days work for you guys later this week? I would love to try to play some of the cbp3:v1 by then as well if you guys could get it.
