CAG PS3 Unreal Tournament 3 Night [On Indefinite Hold]
I usually have enough health to survive a rocket blast in the back, though I'm left with like 10-30 health afterwards. I just run away for about 30 seconds then return to my little building.
that's one of the reasons why I despise autohealth. it promotes running and hiding.

One thing that bothers me is that the weapons do so much damage in this game and there is never enough health. That's why I fully support auto health. Maybe I should lower the auto health from 3 health per second to 2 health per second. Or maybe even 1 health per second to put some more sense of danger when fighting. Though the auto health doesn't really help too much on a head on fight. It's more of a sniper's aide as it helps them more due to the hiding and running away aspect.

I sent the usuals messages. I also invited a few people that I play with a lot into the game. They only stayed for about 2-3 matches though. I kind of wish I had a knife mod for hand to hand combat so I could give people a lil ol chop chop.

i tried to join you guys for a bit last night. it was exceedingly difficult to play after having wrist surgery last week. i even took a little extra medication beforehand and it didnt help much.
theres always next week though =)

Umm that sounds like an admission of guilt haha

I can't help it though. If I can't stab people in the back, the next best thing is to give them deaths where they can't figure out where the shot came from.

remember to get the Facing Worlds II map. I played some 1v1 games on it and even then it seemed like a fair fight since you could always fight back and never get in that hopeless mode.

I should be on tonight, too...are we just playing some TDM?

Here's a link to that new Facing Worlds map that Paco suggested, in case you don't feel like clicking back a page.

I'm assuming paco is pushing for CTF since he wants people to d/l FW2. Though we haven't tdm'd in a while. I should be getting l33t internet hopefully soon with the job/moving.

I'd prefer if that order were reversed, as I probably can't play too late tonight and would rather get some TDM on since we did CTF last week.

Seconded.

Sorry, forgot that Facing Worlds is a CTF map. I'd prefer to start with TDM, as well.

Alright. We can start with TDM. But the ones I want to try for TDM are these

DM LightHouse

DM Steamtemple

re: paco, didn't you comment how we don't know the new maps and didn't want to intro any new ones? I mean we have more tdm maps than any other mode. also listing out new maps 2 hours before hand isn't a good idea.

True. Lets hold em off for next week then. How does four matches of TDM up to 50 and then switch up to 4 CTF sound? Or shoudl the TDM kills be upped to 100?

Though I would like DM to have more maps mainly because those are less path oriented and item oriented then capture the flags where you DO need to learn a lot about the orientation of the map.

I would like to at least try lighthouse and Facing worlds 2 today though.

well if it was more competitive, dm is heavily item based. controlling armor/weaps/powerups are pretty key to any 1v1 duel. we have more dm maps then any other maps. Plus I had a lot of maps on queue that I wanted to intro. I'll add the 3 you suggested to the list. But here was the current list of maps I haven't required in the OP that I had in mind from months ago.

DM Downpour (http://hone.makesad.us/ut3_ps3/maps/dm_downpour/USERDATA.JAM)
DM Fisted-SE (http://hone.makesad.us/ut3_ps3/maps/...e/USERDATA.JAM)
DM Fragpipe2k8 (http://hone.makesad.us/ut3_ps3/maps/...8/USERDATA.JAM)
DM Instinct (http://hone.makesad.us/ut3_ps3/maps/...t/USERDATA.JAM)
DM Nowhere - 5 to 10 (http://hone.makesad.us/ut3_ps3/maps/...e/USERDATA.JAM)
DM Penetrated (http://hone.makesad.us/ut3_ps3/maps/...d/USERDATA.JAM)
DM Tokay Towers (http://hone.makesad.us/ut3_ps3/maps/...s/USERDATA.JAM)

DM CPM1a (http://hone.makesad.us/ut3_ps3/maps/...a/USERDATA.JAM)
DM The Edge (http://hone.makesad.us/ut3_ps3/maps/...e/USERDATA.JAM)

Hone, I think we should start having a mass migration of maps for choice. Maybe we should have a mass migration for the maps. You're right in duels that it's needed to memorize the maps though. But skill can overcome the heavily overpowered.

You know. Start to download and get ready for it. Like how Feb 19 was supposed to be the migration to digital cable. Server going up now.

Yeah. That was more fun then I thought it'd be. Anyways here's a post about UT3 and the possibly new upcoming Titan pack.

Supposedly it has 15 new maps, 3 new game modes and two new races.

The fun thing is that it was on the Unreal Tournament 3 epic message boards and it got erased in a hurry.

Good games last night, it was fun...sorry I had to bail out early though, by the time I came back I guess you were all done. Please post which set of maps we need to have for next week.

I'll play, I won't be able to stay the full duration though. I have to read 200 pages by tomorrow for a psychology exam. Ugh. I think 30-40 minutes is enough for a few matches though.

Did you lower the point setting to 2 per game? Otherwise we'll have to play the same maps multiple times before it'll let us move on.

Done.

I agree. From a sheer tactical/teamwork perspective, Warfare is immensely satisfying.

We'll definitely crank up the skill level of those bots next time, though.

Bleh. I have a lot more work then I thought I did. Anyone read The Green House? At least i finished the essay and the speech com. And when is Bombing Run going to go?
