hmm...well I haven't introduced new maps in a long time b/c of the influx of new people.
what happened? logged on a little late and nobody was even in game :(
I was a little thrown off that the game didn't follow the naming convention in the OP, since it's my first time. But Paco had a game going.

I had a blast guys! And I managed to not suck it up too bad. I don't understand some of the vehicles though. I'll have to do some homework this week. I sent friend requests to most of the people that played tonight, I think. If I missed you, feel free to shoot me one.

hone- I bailed out right around the time you showed up, sorry. I'll be there in the future for sure though.

no worries ma, I just had this job stuff I had to take care of before I could sit down and play. It ended up taking 1.5 hrs longer than I expected :( But there's always next week :D thanks again paco

also, matt/randy you guys both can't skip a ut3 night then no one talks :(

What a great day. Warmed up with some Crash Commando. Then headed onto Unreal Tournament 3. And now we have some new people who would like to join. All right.

hmm. i dont think i even have you on my friends list. ill send you an invite for the future. i usually connect through hone. he asked me to play and i logged on and he wasnt even there. what a dumb face.

Good games last night, it was nice to play again, it's been a couple of weeks for me...I should be there next week, I didn't have a mic because I have a cold and can barely speak. see you all later

Sorry to disappoint. I might have joined but I got caught up. A good friend who's out of the country said she would call me on Skype to hear about my previously mentioned abysmal past few days, and 'in a few minutes' took 2 freaking hours. I didn't want to get caught in-game and then bail out, so I just played NES until she called.

Sounds like it went well enough, though. I fully intend on being in next week!
on the brightside, there's WAR next week if you can host :D
Most likely. How can I pass up the final WARFARE of the Bush Administration? :applause:

LOL! I tend to be really easily annoyed by people who talk to much on XBL/PSN so I usually struggle to keep myself reined in.
That might be the nicest thing anyone has ever said about my inability to STFU. ;)

I think it's only annoying when people have long conversations that aren't related to the current game. 2 weeks ago on UT some new guys were with us, and talked the entire time like they were on goddamned cell-phones. If I wanted to let everyone know the flag-barer was coming through or request backup defense, I had to interrupt their conversation, which would then resume the moment I was done speaking. It was fucking lame. It was worse in that the majority of players couldn't have even contributed to the conversation because most of what they said was in Spanish, even though I'm pretty sure they spoke English. Nothing against them, and I'd likely prefer to speak in my native language, but it made it that much harder to have teamwork.

I don't even use my headset in WaW because the people who play it either don't talk or never STFU about pointless shit :)

I enjoyed last night. I finally made my return. I'm sure everyone cares. :p Anyway I really need a mic or at least a better one. I have one,but I never use it.I can't even count how many times I got killed by Senior. It is way up there. I suck way worse than I did before.

It's the truth. First thing I said to hone when he popped up was that it was pretty boring because no one was talking like normal. Really makes games a lot more fun when there's actual communication (even if it's not always on topic) for instance, been getting a lot of friend requests lately on Battlefield because people are astounded that we actually use mics to communicate what's going on.

ditto, also big welcome back jman. been meaning to bug you about playing but I've been busying trying t oget employed these days :/ Thankfully paco always picks up the slack.

So... I'm catching a train in an hour to DC for the inauguration. I won't be back til Wednesday night, so can't make it tonight obviously :(

But next week, there shall be no excuses from me!

I should be able to make it tonight. No opinion on gametype since I'm still such a noob, although it would be cool to try something different than last week (VCTF, which was rad).

anyone want to do standard capture the flag? There's a good chance my friends will be on so we could get a good game. They usually join cause they love capture the flag.

I hope I'm not missing any maps. I'm not sure which ones I have, and yeah I should be playing Crash Commando as well, but I might be a little late to it. Which maps exactly do I need or do I need any?

Hey guys-what does the "orders" menu in the pause menu do? I looked in the manual and did some google, but didn't get a clear answer.

What's the best way to get caught up on all of the required maps I need to participate ?

The last time I transferred maps to my PS3 I used 2 memory sticks and it took forever , renaming the files and changing the names back , so I could keep track of my progress .

Are there any faster ways to do this ?

server is up. And just get community map bonus packs 1 and 2 right now. Haco and Dreary3 would be nice but those maps are what's needed first.

Well, the first night I played, I think we won most of our matches. Tonight, my team didn't win one. I guess that's fair... :)

I'm getting this game in as part of a trade (hopefully this week) so maybe I can jump in on Mondays when I get the time to. Community is still rolling for this?

ma: orders are for telling others what to do (like giving an order)
richlough: I mean it's a little improved since launch but not much. you can just put it in root of the memstick but yes it's still renaming nightmare. I would suggest just doing it in the order listed in the OP (required by date). There aren't too many maps to what we could be doing since we haven't introduced new ones in a long time now.

QiG: we get a solid 5-10? people most weeks. private games are pretty much the way to go with this game these days. I think the pub community isn't so good.

Hi Rich,
I just did one by one, put a memory stick in the PS3 and used PS3 to connect to internet and save link as for each map, after each map downloaded, I would go back into UT3 and install map. Then just repeat and overwrite jam file.
Not sure its any faster than downloading and renaming...but like hone said there aren't that many maps. Also for the new folks don't forget the free downloadable content (maps) in PSN store.
