I haven't played unreal III with you guys in weeks... I doubt you even noticed I was gone. *tear* This week was a funeral so I've pretty much forgot about everything.
 
yeah good games people. if you guys don't like non cags playing, I'll keep it closed next time. It got really hectic for me and my ps3 started dropping frames.

I noticed. I was wondering where you were. And I hate finals. I have to read two chapters for tomorrow and remember some cumulative crap. I hope it isn't too bad though.

Last night the non-CAGs actually helped and contributed in a good way (unless blind1 and sickboogiemurder [wtf?] are CAGs?). They both had headsets and worked with me in the games, and I added them to my friends.

Or maybe they were just a fluke :) But good to know we might have some more regulars.

Nah I've noticed. Even 1 person absent makes a difference since there's only, like, 8 of us total!

That, and you have a tendency to kill me a ton, jman, so I definitely noticed I've been staying alive more ;)
 
Do you mean the Quarter guy...he was good, he is from the gamefaqs forum.
I didn't hear anyone through the TV, so figured no one was using headsets, so didn't even try turning mine on...i will next week...
 
in ut3 voices don't come through the speakers for me.
there's a handful of pubbers who use mics. at least the more hardcore players do who hang around in the epic ut3 forums. It'd be nice if we got them to come to our games, did you tell them it's a weekly thing?
 
I told a few it was a weekly thing. Though the ones I talked to did not have the community bonus maps. Main reason is that hardly anybody plays them so it's harder to find any games with them.
 
the guys who were playing with us last night had the bonus maps as well as campgrounds. it seems like the more competitive players have at least teh bonus maps and a ton more.
 
That's good. We definitely need to invite them as it's fairly rare to have a group of people with all the maps. I just have to introduce the people I've been playing with to the maps and with these new people we may have games that are finally full.
 
I posted on the ut3 forums (epic forums?) with a link to this forum and mentioned its a weekly game, hoping to get a couple more regulars to join us too.
 
anyone want to strike a motion to keep these games open from now on except for warfare?

Great news. I just upgraded my connection so I'm now 10 mb down and 1.5 up. That should help a bit with the lag when a lot of people were joining in. My previous connection was 6 mb down and 1 mb up.
 
that's awesome news. my ping to your server was 350-400 for some reason :( must be routing crap or ps3 sucking. I ping faster to my server in japan which blew my mind :| hopefully this means I'll suckk less on ctf nights.
 
That's funny. One of my other friends that used to play also had trouble with me as he had high ping, but everyone else said the game ran smooth. Since the connection is almost double speed, 16 players should be no problem now.

yeah, I imagine it's just routing vs. bandwidth from me to you directly. hopefully the new connection fixes it :D
 
next week is my last week before the semester ends. Anyone want to kick off winter break with a Friday game on top of Monday's game next week? We can also test this new connection I got since it's almost double the down speed and a modest incrimental upload speed.
 
there's a good chance I can make it this coming up thurs/fri if that's what you mean Paco. Randy are you up for warfare night tomorrow?
 
We're definitely a go for Warfare tonight @ 9:30. I think I've got all of the settings hammered out, too...so it should be a fairly streamlined affair! ;)

No mandatory downloads (unless you missed the last Warfare batch) for tonight.

We'll play all-CAGs vs. experienced bots.

Password will be "cag" to join in.

I'll have PCSpeed and AutoHealth turned on, as well.
 
I'll probably be late. I'm doing some work for the last of the finals. I should be able to join at around 7-7:30 for a few games of fun. I'm just happy that this semester is almost over with this being the last week.
 
Speaking of Warfare... I hope it's not annoying when I try to rally people and get organized. It seems a lot of the time everyone is focusing on different things and it makes it harder than it should be, plus what's the point in co-op if we aren't going to use teamwork? :)

BTW might be a little late, too, but I'll try to be there as soon as I can.

sorry I missed out last night. And I'll probably be on and off for the next couple of weeks, have family visiting from out of town, not sure how much time I'll have for game playing.

Free time is going to become a very rare commodity for me over the next few weeks so I may have to relinquish my periodic hosting duties until we get into 2009. My work/travel schedule for the rest of December is insane. I love my goddamn retail life. ;)

I'll keep everyone posted, of course.
 
Don't worry, I'm hosting tonight. And I upgraded my connection so it should be even better then last time. I had some friends play on it while I was gone and they said the connection speed was no in lag. I think only 6-10 people were playing though. So today should be a good test as the bandwidth was almost doubled.
 
Yeah nobody was playing so I just joined some people I know. Damn clan wars. AK-47s and I87s going at each other.
