Sounds like a lot of hassle for very little, as changing passwords also means, sending E-Mails to the other 4 people who are in the group with you to let them know the new password. If you dont know who they all are your screwing them over.
 
Why would you lose track of people in a rental share? Password changes and PM's are quick. A rental share just requires the host to be organized. You don't necessarily have to rent to 4 people either.

And a share of Assassins Creed 1+2 and all DLC for 8$

Or trade both for a share of GoW Collection or Bulletstorm :p
 
hey, i have a question for whoever: if somebody offers a gameshare, you pay them, then they bail and scam you, what happens? is there any kind of reassurance that there are no scammers?

No reassurance whatsoever. It's a trade at your own risk kind of thing.

Not really. You'll find a scammer once in a while, but most of them are legit.

interested in the splitsecond bundle...but price a little too steep since i already have wipeout and infamous

I guess if someone ever scammed they'd be shunned by this community and lose a valuable trading resource. In my mind there's no way that'd be worth it.

no the idea is the more money the group wants to spend, the more likely the host will scam
 
I've done about 20 trades here and haven't had a single problem. You'll get to know the reliable names pretty quickly.

EDIT: From Dust looks cool, I'm in for any group. I also want GoW Origins and GoW 1 & 2 HD.

Also want GoW Orgins/GoW 1 & 2... It'd be nice if we could get both collections on one account. Anyone want to start a group I can join, just can't host?

' renting ' shares would be a terrible idea. the reason, because the accounts aren't soley the person renting out the share. once a person/renter has the password info they could easily have more than 1 ps3. the shares could be easily stolen ....sure, you may get yours back, and the alibi would be exactly this, " they gave your share back "

Compared to if you buy them full price it's not bad at all not to mention after you finish the games you can sell your slot so it's well worth it.

A quick check on Qriocity kinda kills the whole "they gave your share back". You can even change the account password from that site. As for someone taking an extra slot, that happens now (rarely). I've noticed host are making everyone pay or activate their PS3 first to avoid this. The only difficult part would be turning a profit or breaking even. It would be a painfully slow process due to demand drying up or people "renting" too long. Keeping track of who's got what is easy thanks to PM's and Qriocity. Again, you don't have to rent out to 4 people at a time and over-complicate things.

EDIT: DLC for trophy enthusiast would be the idea situation, not a 20-60 dollar game/account.
