i would be down for a share
Ok, lets start a group and see if we can fill it up. This group would be for Magic the Gathering ($10) and the 3 add on packs which are $5 each (I think). $25/5 = $5 per share. I will need someone else to host this. I'm not at home now, but can someone kindly confirm the amount and price of DLC for me?

I'll take a share as well

So UNO is 0.99 on PSN apparently right now. I'm not near my ps3 at them moment, but can anyone confirm this? I would totally pay 20 cents for this.

Anyway looks like there are a bunch of people selling Borderlands DLC in this thread. I have all the DLC purchased already and am looking to sell off shares too.

Normally it's $8 a share, but all trades and offers would be considered. I can provide details immediately since everything is already set up and ready to go.

Looking for Dead Nation, Savage Moon, Crystal Defenders, and that Dragon...thing... that came out a week ago. Also interested in Auditorium, Beat Sketcher, and that new move game kinda (the one that came out Tuesday).

I think I've gotten the hang of gamesharing now but I have a couple of lingering questions:

1) Am I completely boned if I ever need to replace my PS3? Or is there a way to "deauthorize" one PS3 and allow re-downloads on another console, similar to how iTunes works?

2) If I've hosted shares before, and I use the same account to host a new share with different people, is there any risk of new people "stealing" a share of the previously downloaded content? Or will the original share-holders be completely safe? I'm assuming that anyone who joins in the new share would see the content in the history, but not be able to download it - I'd just like to make sure of this before I proceed.

The PS3 needs to be operational for you to deauthorize accounts. If your PS3 dies you can either get it repaired by a third party and get the same one back or you are boned cause Sony sends you back a different machine.

You have it all wrong, I suggest reading a guide or FAQ cause I don't have time to explain it right now.

I know how to share, I'm just wondering if it's okay to give new people the login info after all the old content has been "claimed" by the original share group. That way I wouldn't have to create a new account every time.

The file can be activated on 5 systems at once, so as long as they are claimed, no more systems can be added. On the 5 systems the file can be downloaded as many times as needed.

Yes you can deauthorize, that's why I said it has to be operational for you to do it.

What you have wrong is you're speaking as though you're running multiple shares from the same PSN account. It doesn't work that way, content purchased on one PSN account can only be activated on 5 PS3s, that means ALL content bought on that account can't exist on more than 5. It sounds like you're trying to share Per Game which is not how it works, it's Per Account. I could try to explain it better but like I said I don't have the time.

Is there a release date for the other two Prince of Persia games (or Beyond Good and Evil, for that matter)? I'll want to join a game share that is on board to buy all three POP games, for sure. Whether it's now or when all the games are out, I don't care.

Someone just PM me when interested in starting this up. In the old thread I've participated in many a successful Gameshare. I'm sure someone in here will vouch for me.

Both in December, not sure if they've released specific dates but I think they did. It'll be on the Playstation Blog.

it is possible to get sony to deactivate the accounts on your PS3 by giving them the serial number of your registered PS3. They are very strict about doing this though. In the case that your PS3 fails, you need to provide proof of purchase of a new PS3 (with a new serial no.) and explain why you need the deactivation (the only excuse that will work is downloads from the video store since they only allow 1 activation). They will not allow you to deactivate your system if nothing is wrong with it.

Have A Gameshare for the following(All on one account so no breaking up)

Dead Nation($15)
Dead Space Ignition($5)
God of War($15)
God of War II($15)

Would be willing to trade for other games but must be of equal value
4 Slots Remaining

Thanks-Cody

I came to ask, if I can gameshare with people from canda? I gameshared with someone and apparently I can get their stuff, but they can get my stuff but they have to pay for it, which seems fishy. I was giving away V8 superstar racing and he tells me he has to pay for it. I shared the game already and it worked for them, but this guy is from canada.
long and short of it. you have to create a new account for every game unless you are in a long term share with the same people.
This cannot be shared with a brand new person, even though the game has not been downloaded by anyone in the old group? Because at that point, content on the account would be on 6 consoles (even though no individual piece of content has been downloaded in more than 5 locations)?

If I'm understanding correctly, then that's a limitation I wasn't aware of. Thanks for the info!

You are correct.

It doesn't matter if any of the 4 people you gameshared with downloaded anything. As long as his PS3 is activated for one account, it automatically takes up a slot. So if you bought a new game using a previously-shared account, the 6th person cannot download it. However, the 4 people you already gameshared with can download the new game (concept of long-term gameshare).

So unless you want a long term gameshare group, you have to make a brand new account every time you gameshare.

To deactivate the PSN account from your ps3, You have to log in and manually deactivate that account. Go to account information then system activations, then game, then deactivate. Now you can delete that user from your PS3. (Thanks to kataztrophik for correcting me)

He might be scamming you. I'm from Canada and I get games from US accounts all the time.

To deactivate the PSN account from your ps3, just delete the user profile you attached the PSN account with (if I'm not mistaken).

Thanks man and also I gave him a code for PAIN (from subway), because it seemed like he gave me more so I didn't want to leave him hanging in which case he replied and told me it did not work. If you don't mind, can you do me a favor?

Wow.
So even after I format my ps3, I can re-dl psn games I once have dled?

I did not know it. I thought I can not re-dl psn games I once have dled.

Now I can format my ps3 :D

Thanks thanks.

Unless they changed it, you have to deactivate manually from the menu. I have 4 systems taken up because I didn't know about activations :bomb:

Deleting the user does NOT deactivate the system from that account. You have to log in and manually deactivate that account. Go to account information then system activations, then game, then deactivate. Now you can delete that user from your PS3.

Really now? Woah, thanks for telling me that. Should ask the OP to add that on the faq.

This is what Ninja Dog and I were referring to. Bastiartadi was mistaken in his original post.

There is no limitation between US and Canada. I've shared plenty of games with Canadians and no problem yet. Who is this mystery person so that the rest of us can perhaps steer clear of in the future?

For Uno or all the Borderlands DLC?

Uno is 20 cents a share.

Looks like people are trying to undercut each other for Borderlands and I'm not really interested in going below $6. I'm more willing to trade for other PSN games if that's possible.

You know you can just temporarily change your address to a tax free jurisdiction to avoid tax. Not that I condone doing such a shady and cheap ass tactic or anything......

oh how cool! we should all add each other in the future and battle this out:p you guys won't be disappointed, this game is sold way cheaper than they could've charged.

So I haven't played Magic since I was in MIDDLE SCHOOL like 10+ years ago...how much more complicated is it? I've always wanted to get back into TCG's but didnt want to spend an arm and a leg to build decks, etc. Am I going to be lost amid a plethora of new abilities/rules/etc. or is the game fairly straight forward and easy enough to pick back up?
