Some old games as Metroid 2d, Super Marios, Fire Emblem, Advance Wars.... some more.. Are still better than many of thats released today. And they are better than all of PS+ Games.

Well yes there is only one of you but the queue is warm. And welcoming ffxv may be a few weeks till available. So fill that void with Odin when u done with Tomb raider
 
My point is that you're trying to convince people who see a benefit that there is no benefit which is just a waste of time. Sony still has a larger market share and plenty of ppl subscribe to ps+ for multiplayer alone. Don't like it then switch over to Microsoft who charge the same rate for the same quality free titles. Your experience doesn't reflect that of others, only yourself. I find the pro to be much faster with loading and with a nice 4K tv it does look better. It's not for people who can't afford to upgrade, it's for those that can.

Stop this bs generalizing. I didn't say old games are bad. I've been gaming for two decades and have enjoyed entire libraries of every mainstream system since the NES. I said people who haven't upgraded to a PS4 yet are missing out.

So I've been thinking about picking up another PS4 (a Pro for the 4k, move the old PS4 to the 1080p TV in the bedroom) and was thinking about creating a backup drive of my old PS4 drive for the new PS4 so that I wouldn't have to go to the process of re-downloadng 2TB worth of games (my 2TB drive is full (!?!?) but that's a topic for a different day).

I'm pretty sure this would work as I did about a year or so ago (before the phantom-killer FW update), but I wonder if I could have a separate drive just full of phantoms that I could plug into my PS4 (after unplugging it from the internet).

Would this work or would the PS4 try to force a credentials check when I change drives even though there's no internet connection? If I had access to phantoms of multiple main accounts, how would I go about downloading them before I get locked out?

I really enjoy the game and I play solo almost every night, it's fas and fun and I love that matches are 2-10 minutes so you can play many matches one night :]

I don't see the value in upgrading to Pro over my slim and BO3 consoles. If I didn't have a PS4, I would probably buy the Pro version. Although, my nephew brought his Pro over and it wasn't very impressive. I have a Samsung 9000 series TV. Playing D2, T2, & U4 wasn't a phenomenal upgrade. My TV makes much more of a difference than the Pro. Is there a noticeable difference? Sometimes. Maybe it's marketed toward people that can "afford" to upgrade or maybe it's being marketed toward lemmings that feel the need to have the very latest tech to overcome feelings of being left behind. Just because one can afford to upgrade doesn't mean one will. Similarly, there are people that shouldn't be purchasing a $400 console that will. If a consumer doesn't find value in a product, they won't purchase it. I understand that you are passionate about the Pro and you most definitely find value in your purchase. However, I don't agree with your positioning about affordability. After all, most people purchased their vanilla PS4 consoles for $400.

 
Most places let you trade in an original PS4 towards a pro for ~150. It also definitely enhances psvr quality in most games which is a big selling point for me. Do you have hdmi uhd color set up for your samsung? Difference wasn't noticeable until I enabled that.. You also can't be connected through the vr box or it won't display well. Idk. To me it is night and day in some games. Obviously not all. Infinite warfare was for sure much prettier. I wouldn't call myself passionate about the pro. Just saying if you have the right setup it is a noticeable difference in the newer games that support it. Upgrading is not for everyone, nor did I say it was. it's a luxury item for existing PS4 owners.

HDR+ was turned off and HDMI UHD Color was active. U4 was by far the biggest difference to me. However, during gameplay I didn't really notice. I'm going to just wait for the NEO. My nephew loves it though.

Sorry but I read this 5 times now and I just dont get it. Are you looking to buy a phantom? Or want to buy the whole account and sell the resell/phantom?

On a sidenote, I went online with my watch dogs 2 phantom, there was a new firmware update and I didnt install it. Downloaded the games title update and went offline again. Wonder if this is a way to keep phantoms when theres a new FW for the ps4 and you just dont download it? You probably can also download other games still, even when not updating the firmware. Will test it in the next days... If it wont remove the licence :D

Sorry, sometimes my typing is nonsensical. What I mean is I'm going to purchase LG on a resell account and play it and plan to sell the primary this coming monday, which Flameattack reserved. That means I would have a phantom of it available as well but phantoms are a lot different than PS3 phantoms which I just realized and so Ill probably nix the phantom unless the person is trusted and walks me through it, if that makes sense.

I just got the plat last night. It's a really good game but like the first game, story falls apart near the end. If you enjoyed the first, it's a must play. The characters are better, the gameplay is better, but something about the story made me stop caring halfway through. I feel like there was a lot of backstory with the main crew but not so much the people you were going after so it was kind of like you were just fighting "the powers that be". It's not like there's a ton of great open world action games coming out in this style so it's a nice break from other genres.

Yeah I agree with your bit about the ending sequences, I felt the gameplay segments were strong and varied, but the story was kind of hash, and thrown together and what your saying makes sense where, imo there was barely any backstory to any of the characters in general and you definitely did care about the main crew but there were a lot of random antagonists towards the end where youre like wtf, where were they before. Still tons of fun, I'm glad Ubisoft went the direction they did, a real improvement and makes me hopeful for future series entries.

Eh glad I just ordered it then. I enjoyed the first, found the story to be decent/good, and gameplay the same. Hopefully I enjoy it as much as the first.
