CAG PSN Gamesharing #9 - Find/Create a Gameshare Group and Gameshare FAQ

Anyone have Rock Band 3?  Assuming it was ever released digitally, that is.  Looking to rent it for an hour, just so I can pop in and get a trophy quick before the RB3-to-RB4 export is no longer available.

 
If you guys were running an adblocker of any type, be sure that you don't have Nano Defender integrated with it. It was typically used in conjuction with UBlock Origin. Disable it as soon as possible, as it now contains some pretty heavy malware. 

Just wanted to let muh home slices here know, just in case.

what kind of games are you expecting to split?

I own >1,100 digital PS4 games, but they're mostly cheap shovelware that i suspect nobody would wanna split :razz: that said, if there's any shovelware/trophy stack collectors out there, hmu :cool:

But mostly rpgs, exclusives, some AAA.

lol why would anyone ever turn this off, just sounds spiteful

i waited in queue for 2-3 hours and got a ps5 direct from sony earlier tonight, very hyped to see if gamesharing comes back alive here in some form esp with games being $70 now

Well that’s good to hear, did it for 2 people went smoothly, took 5-10 minute tops

Only funny thing is you have purchased a collection game and want the dlc, you have to find said game and download through their proper page

If it’s brand new in your library it will be at the top in most recent, if bought earlier, you’ll have to go look for it

Almost identical to PS4's except it's called something like "console sharing and offline play" instead of activations. And PS5 activations do not complete with PS4 activations.

I don't know if phantoms are possible.

From what I am reading online I can gameshare a game with one person. So we cant be both online I'm assuming but can be activated on both ps5s? But what about if you sell the whole account, does that mean you have one spot to rent out? The main account can always "deactivate"
 
Game sharing on PS5 works the exact same way as PS4, to put it simply. Except now you get one PS4 slot and one PS5 slot per account instead of just one PS4 slot. I don't recommend anyone doing rentals rent both slots out at the same time though, as if anything does go wrong you have no proof who the issue is with.

Does anyone have any experience with some of the Fortnite skin codes and Gamesharing them or at least getting access to them on a Child account when downloaded on the parent account?  For example,  If I redeemed a code for the deep freeze bundle on my Parent account would any of my childrends accounts be able to download the content?   I'm assuming the vbucks are a one time redeem, but surely don't want to buy this for all 3 kids.  lol

Generally currency is locked but individual DLCs normally work. Season passes that are tied to your account in-game do not work (Destiny, Division) but season passes that just give you small expansions (mass effect) work fine. So yeah don't bother (don't feed the shitty fornite machine even if the kids beg anyway imo)

Oh trust me I'm not buying it more than once, but the CAG in me wants to be able to put it on all 3 kids accounts if there is a way. Especially since every time my kids get tooth fairy money it goes directly into v-bucks lolll

There have been some reports of accounts getting banned/suspended for doing this. The PS5 accounts are getting permanent bans, while the other accounts are getting 2 month suspensions.
Probably not worth the risk. Be careful.

This is not true. If you click the link and read it you'll see it's people in Mylasia getting banned because the console isn't even available there yet so those accounts should never have access to login to a PS5. Ontop of that, people can just go on Sony's site and add the games themselves. Zero risk.
