a lot of us still get raped =) the maps are fairly large and it takes time to learn them. for guns in our clan (SAS) i think the commands best AR is the m4 it has the lowest encumbrance damage is good and accuracy is good also.
the terrorists choices arent as easy IMO i really enjoy the auto shotty but people get mad at me sometimes for using it. it also has limited range. the AK is realy good along with the m16.
i dont use subs or machine guns so i cant comment on them.

I wish the made the opposing teams names come up in Red. I still have a hard time distinguishing friend from foe and the blue diamond doesn't always pop up for me for some reason. Aside from that, I really like playing this game. It's a nice change from the usual rambo style of other games. You actually need think about where you're going, where you teammates are, where the enemy will likely be.

Im getting on for a quicky before I hed off to the old parents crib, so I will add you to the clan now.

Yeah you will probably get raped for a couple weeks. Hell I still go into rooms and get raped by elite players, and Ive been on this game every day for almost 6 months now. Some people out there are way too serious, even for my tastes.

About the reviews, it can really be summed up in one word: HATERS! One bad review and they all follow. The game was seriously messed up at launch, but nowhere near the horrid reviews it got. Also most people read the reviews and decide to not form their own opinions about the game, and just take the reviews as gospel.

Guns- M4 on commandos for sure. Another good one is the IW but the M4 is lighter and has better range. HK5SD is a great gun for rushing.

AK47 for Mercs is easily the most powerful. The F90 is a great little SMG for rushing, and the SASR is the best sniper rifle in the game.
I almost forgot, the Model 18 handgun on Mercs is ridiculous. Basically a SMG at close range.

Edit- Tried sending you clan invite through the game, it said we have too many pending invites. Tried adding you through the website, and it said I already sent you one. If its not in your Socom message box, just go to my profile and I believe there is a link to apply to clan.

Man, I've been playing Socom too much... I was listening to the CAGcast and when Wombat said RPG, I immediately thought of Rocket Propelled Grenade instead of Role Playing Game. :)

I guess I didn't know there was a limit to how much Socom a person could take. I hope I don't get to that point. I'd hate to feel like I'm going to get knifed in the back while standing in line at the grocery store since I'm not crouching behind the gum and candy display while constantly looking over my shoulder. lol
 
I use the G36C/HK36 for commandos and M16 for mercs, both with ACOG scope. I tried several of the longer-range scopes for a while but I think I'll go back to ACOG. I have yet to use the SMGs but the P90 seems pretty good.

Also you probably shouldn't listen to my advice since I pick guns based on how much I liked them in other games. :D

Other than the AK-47 I pretty much have to use something with a silencer on it because it usually takes me a half a clip before I actually start hitting my target as my bullets seem to have the same allergies as SteveMcQ's. I do prefer the reflex or red dot scopes because they're quicker to get out of when you're zoomed in.
 
I'll try and get on tonight, I still haven't been on to check and see if I have an invite. I'll probably be on later if there are any players still on. I'm definitely looking forward to playing with some CAGs.
 
Does anyone have a preference as to the type of game tonight? The unranked stuff last Sunday was a lot of fun as was Tuesday when we had a few hours of ranked 8x8 CAG on CAG medley in the italy server.
 
Yeah, those guys did nothing but rush. And all we did was bend over and take it.

Again, good games guys, was fun. I learned headphones really make a difference in this game. Footsteps can mean life or death.
 
Man, that was pretty fun + I stayed true to my word by getting my ass kicked at the end of those games.

Not bad for my first time playing this game.
 
I think I was sucking more than usual tonight. :cold: Fun times, though. The Frostfire match was great.

And Bavgate, I was impressed. Seems your MGO skills carried over pretty well. :)

I have a quick question though... Are you supposed to press a button to chat? I feel like such a noob. :lol:

Also I tried deleting some pending clan invites(which took a half hour) and there was no option to delete. Weird as I know it was there before and I know mdam0re deleted a few last week. Tried inviting RYAend from the website and it says I have already invited this player. Goldbug you wanna try inviting and see what happens?

Basically I need whataboutbobby to log on and either accept or decline his Clan invite. It is in your Socom message box, under community.

Thanks for the games last night everyone. It’s pretty sweet how everyone from the CAG community is so cool about everything. Smog, md, lethal and I play a ton and you can get in some rooms with some real dicks. Every time we have CAG night It’s cool because the games stay competitive while everyone is relaxed and laid back about it. Hope to see you all again on Sunday.
 
Yeah, sorry I haven't been on in a while guys, but I have been so exhausted lately, and with midterms coming up next week, its not looking good. Hopefully I can enjoy some heavy Socom over spring break.
 
SOCOM: CONFRONTATION Space
This Space is also nearly ready but a specific date for its release is not yet available, but we are expecting it within a few weeks.

I expect it to come right around the European launch, which is March 19th. If it doesnt have Game Launching it is an automatic fail

Am I still a leader? or whatever the higher position is? I know I haven't been on in forever but I'm ready to start dedicating myself to this game now. Hope to get a few CAG games going in the near future.

Ill be on. I thought you had given up long ago so I probably demoted you. It is pretty much cosmetic anyways, considering we cant invite anyone to the clan. We have 45 members and 5 pending invites.

Sent Clan Invites to FrankySox and RYAend. Please accept them ASAP to free up spots for more invites

Clan nights are always poppin with like 12-16 CAGs every time. Also seems that Thursday has become an impromptu night, so there should be 6 or so of us on tonight.
 
Cool, I'm going to download the update, play some resistance, grab a bite to eat, and the rest of the night will probably be dedicated to socom.

I loved playing with CAGs, but do we play ranked or unranked? The unranked games were a drag sometimes..

Luckily everyone is familiar enough with the game now so we don't need to play unranked anymore. Usually we just go in a Japan or some other obscure server and fill up an 8x8 medley

what the fuck.... I've played this game for about a half hour now. Finally got into a good game, I got raped really bad like the first 10 seconds of both rounds I played, then got disconnected. Then, I found a good 4v4 game on DG, I turned around, looked back and somehow got booted to the XMB? what the fuck is going on with this game.

edit... just went like 4 and 1... of course i get fucking booted again. god damnit.

So much for that. I think I might have to stay away from this game for a while. :bomb:

Well, I kept getting raped after you left. But I didn't get disconnected on the bright side.

I need to play some respawn on the newer maps. Maybe this weekend I'll put a good chunk of time into it.

knives fail in this game, The first time I played, a guy on the other team had sunck up behind me and was trying to knife me, I turned around and shot him.
