That about sums it up. They were pretty good, but I think their win had more to do with superior numbers than anything. The score of the second match was really close and they had 1, sometimes 2 more players than us. If we'd had the same amount of players, I think we would've won.

Next time we'll have a victory, just not today. Atleast we're doing better than we did on Saturday.
 
Reviving my router, signing back in and relaunching the game took me out of the game for about 5 minutes, disappointed about that.:whistle2:| :wall:
 
I don;t get it - if we did not have enough players how were people having trouble getting in? Was this at the same time or different times?

And how can we communicate that we need another person or two if something like this happens again? I was here and could have jumped in if I knew there was a problem. Is that even possible in the rules?

But like I said... the other team actually forfeited before the game even started.

Mr. mguiddy you are technically correct, the best kind of correct. Seriously though, if you want to pursue that go right ahead sir.

As for Saturday's match, the Elite Royal Guard are 0-11, so they shouldn't be much trouble assuming they show up.
 
So our goal here is to be in the top 32 teams? If that is the case then I say from now on we challenge the crap outta the way lower ranked teams and try to get some points. We are only about 300 points away from the goal at hand so... yay?
 
The organization in this tournament = :whee:

So far, leaving all the coordination up to the clans has been a disaster. Anyone who hasn't flipped out by the final round deserves that champion's blade.

You know, you've been through a lot with this tournament and their crappy site and rules. Don't go out of your way to fight for a forfeit. I think the majority of us just wanted the participation blade. If there were stricter rules, then I would say go ahead and file a complaint. But the way things are going, it seems as though we will have to file a complaint about every single match we play. Those will add up and we'll just hate this tournament even more. I really think that GGL should host the matches as well as referee them.

The team we played did ask us if it was ok to say that they won since they won the 2 matches, but we didn't argue with them. Doesn't seem right to go behind their backs and say that we should've won by forfeit. I do think that some things were unfair such as starting the match late, starting the match without waiting for all members to come in, and also my problem logging in to the game (which I've never had happen to me before).

We'll win the next ones, and even if we don't, that's ok.
 
I apologize if I was the reason we were shorthanded. Just as the official match started (I think it was an official match), I saw thunder outside. I though Oh crap, my net's going to crash soon... by the time the thought entered my head I was booted from the PSN. Tried for a 1/2 hour to get on, no dice, then I got on for 30 seconds and got booted again.

I dunno though, the second time I got on their team had a player that wasn't part of their clan. Can't remember the name, but he definitely didn't have a clan tag. Anyone else notice this? Aren't non-clan players supposed to get booted automatically?

All in all, this tourney is a giant pooch screw, just gimme the fracking blade :evil:
 
Well I see I wasn't the only one with internet problems last night. Sorry I didn't make it. My internet died at about 9:50pm and didn't get restored under sometime this morning.

You can have mixed clan teams, that's not an issue. As long as everyone that played is on their squad roster at GGL its fine.

Well, if you guys told them it was okay I'm not going to dispute.
For all I know they were asking if we were willing to overlook all their Shaq-fu ups.

Hey mguiddy, I finally got my internet up and I'll be able to join you guys for the upcoming GGL matches. I can make it for the 7th, 8th, and 10th for sure, and if the rosters are full for any of those days, feel free to add me as a sub. ;)

I was getting Warhawk withdrawal symptoms these past few days, so I'm glad to be back! :lol:

Players are not required to play a lag test round but it is highly recommended as stated in the rule. If a team see's that something is not right, they should come to me immediately, also stated in the rules.

That's bullshit, the only time it says to notify an admin is if the other team is using players that aren't on their roster.

I think tomorrow's game is the one on Island Outpost - Installation. That map has a ton of zones to control, even with eight people. Not sure what the best strategy would be.

Technically that's 1 player per zone (including home and enemy base). Not that good odds. Bridges are vital.

Our opponents still haven't posted the match info, & it's almost 3hrs before. Is that a really important rule? Wouldn't want the same crap as last match (again) to happen, a last minute game startup. Wankers.

I'd say if they don't reply at least three hours before... which would be now... don't worry about it. I'll claim it as a forfeit win and post on the match info page "I guess I'll have to claim forfeit win, you guys didn't post at least three hours before."

Unless they post the info and you guys want to play them.


In other news, we've 8 challenges that I need to look at and reschedule. (I looked at a few and they were challenges for the next day, or a few hours later. :roll: Seriously, what are they thinking.)

We have new scheduled matches and new possible times for matches.
 
If the server is up at the scheduled time, I'll play. No need to try to call everyone on a technicality.

They shouldn't be allowed to issue challenges for less than 24 hours later, though, at least not while it's still relatively early in the ladder. That's just inconvenient.

Well, like I said earlier, this team hasn't shown up at several of their last scheduled matches, so I doubt they'll show up.

One time someone challenged us to a match about six hours prior. :roll:

And mguiddy, no I don't have FiOS, but I wish I did (I have Comcast HSI :cry: )...

We probably can't.
For one it's only one match per team per 7 days and they have to be within 10 ranks of us, which I doubt they are because I'm pretty sure they've forfeit their last couple of matches.
But trust me, the thought crossed my mind.:cool:

And godly, no worries. This is a silly tournament, anything real life should take precedent.
