CAG Warhawk Night [TBD]

With my 20GB model (before I upgraded the HDD), I needed at least 2.8 free regardless or some games would have issues, whether it was patch download, demo download for some, etc.

At least try to free up some space and see if it works.

Thanks for the info.

I think my best bet is to get a bigger hard drive, I don't see myself deleting my psn games or content.

This announcement isn't official yet, but could come soon. Sometime in January for February, I will officially step down as CAG Warhawk leader. I'll still be the OP of this thread probably (Unless I see a reason to change). I haven't 100% decided who the clan will be handed off to. I'll probably hand off Friday Warhawk or just leave it to Saturday only. We'll see, but a decision won't come for at least a month.

Main reason is while I love Warhawk, I feel it's probably about time I hand it over. Also, I'll probably take on Killzone 2 at CAG, which will keep me busy.

I bought some no-name wireless headphones that work great. Except for PS3 gaming. Loud explosions (or metaly's laughter) cut the volume out and I have to reset it to get sound back.

Oh my. I do tend to overly enjoy myself don't I? But it's just the flying! So free and so many neat toys to play with! And my Gods have you seen freaky dance in and out of missile locks while playing chicken? Oh must stop myself before I get off track.... Uh yeah, will try to reign myself in. But it's just so much fun.

Oh yeah. Tonight was a lot of fun. That last CTF was crazy, back and forth, back and forth. I can't believe that APC failed to kill my tank twice.

Picked up the 320gb samsung off newegg for $60 shipped. Been doing my research (lot of help in the forums here and links to other sites) so I think I'll be set.

As for KZ2, it's 2 months until it comes out anyways...
 
Jumped in for a bit last night and had some fun. I tend to get my ass completely handed to me by the Saturday night crew though :D

If you did get killed in a tank by an APC charge it was a glitch...

It's not loading for me right now but...
APCs have a boost ability that not only allows them to traverse distances more quickly, but it also acts as a ram-attack that obliterates other vehicles (except the tank because of its super-heavy armor).

But they can give them a good shove to knock them around or slow them down (kinda like turbo-boosting a warhawk into a jeep). What I was trying to do was push zen over the side and into the canyon below, making the flag respawn. Did it once by accident, been trying to repeat it ever since.
 
I have been having major computer problems the last few days - never got to post that I could not make it to the fri/sat games because fam was in town for the holidays. but I shall be there this week.
 
On the APC charge damaging tanks discussion, I swear I've blown tanks up with APC charges myself. I did it a few times Saturday with no effect (against DD83 I think). If it was a bug, I guess it makes sense now...

Also, who was the yahoo on my own team that APC charged up a cliff and went flying about 100 feet in the air? I swear I almost ran into you with my own Warhawk! I had to dodge at the last second. It's not one of those things you expect to see when, you know, you're flying in a plane. :shock:

:whistle2:# That reminds me of that time someone did that to me (I think it was that one eucadia map (Over the bridge or something)) and it sent me flying towards my base with the flag with seconds on the clock. It allowed me to get the capture. :rofl:

That was me, both times...

On that APC jump, I was stuck on the outskirts of the town and the spot by the bridge makes an excellent launching ramp. I was really surprised to see someone jet past right then. That would've been a team-kill to remember!

And now that I think about it, maybe if a tank's health is low enough you can ram it?

I thought that was you who inadvertently gave me a boost to my base.:lol:

The spot by the bridge... By the church or the other side of town? I know there's that spot near the bridge heading into the other side of town, but that mainly gets you stuck in the houses. I've been neglecting my APC jumping. :lol:

And I smell experiments... If no one does it before, I'll test out APC ramming nearly dead tanks after Wednesday.

The other side, just to the right of the bridge if you're heading into town. I was taking the low road and wanted to get back onto the main road quick.

And I smell experiments... If no one does it before, I'll test out APC ramming nearly dead tanks after Wednesday.

Had to split early to finish watching a movie. Good game though. I forgot how bad I am at Warhawk. Oh, and sorry to whoever I teamkilled by running them over with a jeep. my bad.

Sorry about the boosters, but I try making it clear to everyone out of the 10 matches, they don't start until the 8th game (and if you come late, you kind of get screwed, sorry).

I was out at Golfland. :cry: Also my Internet was a disaster yesterday so I probably wouldn't have been able to play anyway.

I almost did vomit, it was really disgusting... Good thing all of that is clean now, though admittedly I'm still a little scared to enter my bathroom. ;)

I've had Warhawk for awhile now but I'm trying to catch-up on some backlog first. I'll definitely join in eventually though! Quick question for you guys, has the BT that came w/ Warhawk ever give you connection issues? I always get them during R2 CAG night and other online action. Need to upgrade...
