<CAG> WoW Guild - Server: Gurubashi / Faction: Horde / OP update / Endgame Started

I say CAG too.

And if anyone would be willing to help me i have a 60 day time card I want to sell but I cant post a thread since I'm new to the group (team?). I recently quit WoW and just want of get rid of it haha. $25 for Christmas sale! PM me if you are interested.

Maybe "CAG" is the best solution? We can each think of what "CAG" stands for in our own way. Everyone is potentially happy.

i used to play on gurubashi horde too bad i switched off that server. anyways i vote CAG as well. good luck guys

CAG it is I think lol.

Picking up more people to play. I'll start up the guild and start invites. I need names of characters though to get signatures.

Have the guild all up and going ... currently it's only my brother and I in it. Hope that some others decide to tell me their WoW names for some invites and such. I'd buy a guild bank and everything if I knew people were going to play. I have the 100g just don't want to spend it if I don't have to :D

Success! My wife gave me Cata for Xmas. Now I am agonizing over a name to pick. I want to roll Goblin Mage. What do you guys think: Goblee, Hobby, Bingo, or Coinkidink? I cannot decide.

I'm going to guess Hobby and Bingo are taken so one of the other 2 :D

Also when you're all set and can jump in game please tell me and I'll jump on and invite you right away. Want to get the guild level up to 2 at least

Actually I reserved Hobby and Bingo. My wife and brother think I should roll Bingo. I am leaning toward Hobby.
Bingo. Definitely.
It is getting harder and harder to deny the allure of "Bingo." Both my brother and my wife laughed when I told them I was considering that name. Kinda fits with Goblins, bingo is a game of chance after all. It is also funny - Bingo the Frost Mage. I think it is finally growing on me.

Actually, my brother said that if I do not use the name, he wants it for one of his characters. I guess that more or less makes up my mind.

I would play but I don't have WoW. I want to get back into it, but don't want to pay for WOTLK and Cata, then 15 bucks on top of that per month... Sorry guys. I hope the guild grows, I'm sure there are a few more people in the guild, but from what I see in the opening post there are only 3 people in the guild so far.

You guys should post some Screenshots of your shenanigans.

I'd join except four problems
1) I'm alliance
2) I have the nine classes I want to actually play already made
3) all of them are 80+ (with one 85 and an 82), except my priest who's 72
4) wrong server

Maybe I'll make a goblin something or other, maybe shaman

There's more than 3 ... I just haven't updated the OP :D Doing that now :D

Gden - make a goblin and join us, even if for casual playing at first.

Apush - Anything will do right now I'd say.

For those who are on the fence about joinning or who have not played their account in a long while, I could send you a scroll of resurrection! If you have not had a subscription for 90 days I can send you the scroll and you can play for 10 days free. After you use the scroll, you can use Blizzard's free 10 day Cataclysm trial on top of the scroll of resurrection to get access to the new race, Goblins, and 80-81 content.

If you should decide to fully reactivate your subscription, I get one month free as a kind of referral, which would help me out a lot. One CAG to another. We could try to set up something so others can pass out scrolls as well.

Anyway, I finally created my Goblin Frost Mage - Bingo. Please PM if you are interested in the scroll of resurrection.

**Quick note - The scroll of resurrection works for any account as long as it has been inactive for 90 days. While it officially says that an account already upgraded to WotLK is ineligible for the scroll, this is not true. It works every time.

Juuust got back from Bestbuy, big ol' game sale. Picked up 4 games, one of them being Cataclysm for $30.

Internet on Friday, just picked up Cata, it's all falling into place. Whoo!

Any idea whether the name "Omen" is already taken? I like that name.

Alright I have all of you guys on my friends list and should have plenty of play time the next two days. If your going to be on tell me and I'll jump on. If you PM me the PM will go to my phone and I can jump on right away if I'm not on.

Alpha - Hope to see you in game friday :D

Figures you can reserve two cool names, Ernest. ;)

It might be a little bit after the internet gets going for me to get back in, but I'll definitely get back in. I'm glad I'll be able to play again, I missed it. If anything, it was a good time-killer.

Wumbo wasn't taken, so I made a character with the name. Just let me know when you're able to log into WoW and I'll delete it.

I'll probably create a character when I get home, but it might take a while. A lot of my friends finally got Black Ops this week, and I bought a lot of games from these Steam sales, so I'm gonna be busy.

Thinking a troll druid though. Figure we'll need healers and tanks. Warrior is also a possibility.

Added Ibzan to the Guild roster. Also, and this is a very minor point, my character (Bingo) is a Goblin Mage. On the front page roster I am listed as an Orc. =P

Lol my bad and thanks :D Changing that now. Guild is going good guys, have a few players leveling really fast and someone is usually always on. I purchased a guild bank last night as well.

Any veteran WoW players here? What's the feel of the current game right now? I quit a year ago because the game was just becoming a casual's paradise and there really was no incentive to play anymore. When you can create a guild from scratch and be in the top 10 on the server within a month, you have a problem. Not to mention a horrible community too focused on DPS meters and gear level to do anything else.

Is there something there for more serious players, that kind of separates the men from the boys?

My friends are jumping back in, just want to make sure I'm not wasting my time.

Questing is streamlined and very, very fun if you roll a new toon (I rolled Goblin Mage). It's all story driven, makes sense, and is very enjoyable. You go to a quest hub, complete 5-6 quests, get transported to the next hub, do the next few quests, move on. At the end of a zone, you are treated to an in-game cutscene. You feel important, like your actions make a difference, and it all really comes together lore-wise. All the fetch and escort quests have been tuned down. Some quests can even be completed without returning to the quest giver. Never been more fun to try a new class.

I haven't done any of the end-game PvP content, so no comment there.

I can say, however, that they really have turned up the difficulty on PvE Heroics. Healers have to actually prioritize their spells, and not spam from an endless mana pool. Mana runs out fast, so healers need to pay attention again. Tanks have to take and hold aggro and actually watch threat management, while DPS has to actually manage crowd control and watch their damage output or the group will wipe. Heroics also drop blues, leaving purple for the raids. It's a return to Vanilla (in a sense), where you actually have to know your class and not just have a gear score and spam three buttons all day. It is much more intricate again (very challenging), and in my opinion, fun. PUGs suck again, even with dungeon finder. This is where a guild comes in handy, because you can trust your friends to know the fights and work together. This comes from a player who picked up WoW right at the start of BC and who played through WotLK. Cata is like a breath of fresh air and I am loving it right now.

I was going to make a too anyway and thought, why not join this realm and guild lol. First thing that happened to me though was I got invited to a Brazilian guild with a lot of people from that country so there is a significant Brazilian presence as you said(I didn't stay with them but wanted to check it out.).

Name is Mumbo (Goblin Shaman), send me an invite :D

Your assessment of Cata is pretty spot on. I got started midway through WotLK and I was surprised how "easy" it was to get geared and some purples on my back. Now the 5man dungeons are pretty tough, DPS does need to make sure they're not screwing up and standing in fail etc to give the healers an easier time. Great fun!! I liked the casualness of Wrath as it allowed me to get in on the fun after being 4-5 years behind but now I'm used to how the game mechanics are, Cata is great for it's difficulty.

Thanks for the info guys, I like what I hear. Grabbed the battle chest off amazon, hopefully some WOTLK deals will show up as I get back into the feel of things.

Added Mumbo to the invite to guild message in game ... hope to see you on :D

Panzer - you should join us when you get on

H20 and Jason - Shall we see you two on soon? :D

Dinged 40 this (Thursday) afternoon. I started my Mage last Sunday afternoon, so questing and leveling can go pretty quick if you devote a lot of time to it.

Alright, I give in. Joined on the server as Orc Hunter named...Zumbo. LOL!

Send me an invite whenever you see me online, I'm game to run through here!
