CAGCAA - NCAA 10 Dynasty - 2011 Season - Week 19 Deadline: 6/28

I'll like another game against a Big East opponent for OOC, Syracuse or UConn if possible, anyone else is fine though.

The only thing you really need to do is redshirt your players. Everything else can be done week 1 without it affecting anything, I believe.

We are now at the first week of the 2010 season and everybody that requested opponents got their choices, so everybody should have three or more ranked teams to face in their out-of-conference schedule.

With the start of the season comes the Pre-Season All-Americans and here are the tallies for the SEC:

Rutgers - 1 1st All-NCAA, 3 1st All-SEC, 1 2nd All-SEC
Texas - 4 1st All-NCAA, 1 2nd All-NCAA, 6 1st All-SEC, 5 2nd All-SEC
Georgia Tech - 1 1st All-NCAA, 1 2nd All-NCAA, 5 1st All-SEC, 3 2nd All-SEC
Miami - 2 1st All-NCAA, 1 2nd All-NCAA, 4 1st All-SEC, 1 2nd All-SEC
Florida - 1 1st All-NCAA, 1 1st All-SEC, 6 2nd All-SEC
LSU - 1 1st All-SEC, 2 2nd All-SEC
USC - 2 1st All-SEC, 2 2nd All-SEC
Notre Dame - 1 1st All-SEC
South Florida - 2 2nd All-SEC
Michigan State - 1 2nd All-SEC

Here's the schedule for this week:

Ole Miss at Rutgers (BigAT4)
Ohio State (FriskyTanuki) at Michigan
Oregon State at Miami (drunknmunkys)
Oregon at Florida (Ultimate Matt X)
Texas (Frankysox) at Virginia Tech
LSU (DarkTower80) at Wisconsin
Georgia Tech (S3anAmI) at Tennessee
Texas A&M at USC (seen)
South Florida (JustnCredible29) at Nebraska

Byes: Michigan State (XXXplosive1)

Get your games in by Tuesday night.

Well had a good game against Oregon. Started off 21-0, but my quarter back got hurt and I didn't score again until the fourth. Luckily, it seems he'll be back next game. He managed to be the player of the game only playing one quarter too.

Miami blows out Oregon State in a game marred by early mistakes, injuries

AP - Miami Hurricanes quarterback Jacory Harris threw for 345 yards and 4 tds making up for some early mistakes, while Graig Cooper added 177 yards and 1 td on the ground, to lead an overpowering Hurricanes' offensive attack. Harris threw two interceptions in OSU territory in the first half to allow OSU to stay in the game 17-13 at the half. Miami scored 35 unanswered points in the 2nd half to pull away.

OSU had their chances early, but missed kicks and injuries ultimately doomed them. Top receiver James Rodgers was injured on the opening kickoff and would not return. On their 2nd drive, Jacquizz Rodgers broke a 63 yard td run down the sideline, but OSU missed the extra point and trailed 7-6. That's as close as they would get. On their next possession he tore a chest muscle and did not return. Miami added a td and fg to lead 17-6 when OSU started to mount a comeback. With the ball inside the Miami 15 yard line, another injury struck. Starting OSU qb Katz twisted his ankle on a hit and went into the locker room for xrays, he would also not return. They were still able to score a td to pull within 17-13, but missed a field goal late in the half that would have again brought them within one point. Without their top QB, RB, and WR, OSU didn't stand a chance in the 2nd half as Miami pulled away for a convincing win.

In a rematch from last season's Cotton Bowl, Neb gave me another close game. I only won because of a few key ints and a clutch last min pass by BJ Daniels. Whew...dodged an early loss.

I got my game in tonight. Won fairly easily at Wisc, they got a td late to make the score closer.

The one thing I don't like is the injury frequency. My starting HB got hurt, sat out a little more than a quarter came back healthy and then got hurt again. My FB, FS, and MLB also got hurt. All were fairly minor injuries but it's still a little much. I noticed this happens during offline dynasties too.

Managed to beat up on Michigan once again, though they got on a roll in the second quarter that I managed to squash at the beginning of the second half. Boom Herron managed to get a lot of yards in the Jim Tressell system of running the ball until they can stop it.

Haven't had any injuries yet, but it tends to depend on how hard you or your opponents tackle for injury frequency, as SeanAmI and others can vouch for when they played me. ;)

I won my game vs Texas A&M; I was on pace for a huge blow-out before the game took my QB and HB out for the game.

Can we advance once BigAT and Frankysox play; if so I hope they play soon.

Game pissed me off, my entire starting backfield was hurt in that one game except the quarterback. Had to play the game with mostly backups :)

Big game to start the season with two top 10 teams squaring off, but #6 Rutgers took #5 Ole Miss behind the woodshed, completely shutting down the Rebels and winning 42-0. The Scarlet Knights, not pleased after not receiving a single first place vote in the polls despite coming off a National Championship, went out to prove they are the best team in the country and did so with a dominating performance.

Heisman runner up Kordell Young finished the day with 179 yards rushing and 4 touchdowns.

That leaves Frankysox to play if he hasn't decided to trade in the game since he plays COD4 almost exclusively.

Yo Frisky I'm ready to go. Texas looks solid offensively after a tough finish last year. They take down 11 ranked Va. Tech 56-13. Harris filled in very well for the departing Colt McCoy with 470 total yards, 5 passing TDs and 3 rushing TDs.

I'm looking very much forward to playing Sean and BigAt, my best two matchups last year!

This new era of tougher scheduling by the scheduling committee in the NCAA has kicked off with a big week of top-ranked match-ups that have shaken up the Top 25 after the first week of the season. The biggest winner of the week is South Florida, who jumped from #15 to #9 after beating Nebraska. Texas A&M and Oregon State are the two teams that fell off of the Top 25 this week while Purdue and USC took their places in the #24 and #25 spots, respectively.

The Heisman Watch stays mostly the same this week, except for the appearance of Texas' Sherrod Harris at the #5 spot.

Sherrod also earns National Offensive Player of the Week honors along with the SEC Offensive Player of the Week award while his teammate, Dustin Earnest, earned the SEC Defensive Player of the Week award.

This week's set of big games includes more big games from the SEC. #6 Georgia Tech and #8 Georgia face off once again to see who deserves a spot in the top ten. Penn State defends their #3 spot against #19 LSU. #25 USC gets a chance to cement their presence in the Top 25 with a win against #17 Nebaska. #14 Oregon tries to stop their current slide as they visit #18 Ohio State's home turf. The biggest game is easily the latest edition of the Red River Rivalry between #1 Texas and #2 Oklahoma.

Here is the full schedule for this week:

Georgia Tech (S3anAmI) at Georgia
Penn State at LSU (DarkTower80)
Florida State at South Florida (JustnCredible29)
Miami (drunknmunkys) at Cal
Texas A&M at Florida (Ultimate Matt X)
Michigan State (XXXplosive1) at Rutgers (BigAT4) - Michigan State is CPU-controlled unless XXXplosive gets his 360 back this week.
USC (seen) at Nebraska
Oregon at Ohio State (FriskyTanuki)
Oklahoma at Texas (Frankysox)

Nope I just played my game...

I asked for Oklahoma and I got all I could handle and then some. I won 51-48 in 1OT. Sherrod Harris is a complete beast and I got the game of a lifetime from him. He had over 625 total yards with 6 more TD to add to his total. He threw 3 picks two of which were tipped and one was a terrible decision on my part. I definitely could have lost this one. They were completely shutting down the option and my PA rollouts. The defense started to show some holes in the fourth and I was able to make some great drives. One of my receivers had a 75 yard td catch late in the fourth that probably saved my ass.

Can't wait for the human opponents.

Had a pretty decent game against FSU, I had a early lead but my workhorse running back got hurt before halftime and BJ had 2 horrible picks in the redzone to let them get back into the game. Luckily, he made some huge plays in the 4th quarter to seal the deal! Bring on UCF!!

Just played my game and destroyed Penn St 52-17. I got the lead with big passing plays early and pounded the ground game for the second half.

Dude, just play your games. We don't need updates on who has what games left if it's before the deadline. We've already shorted the deadlines so just cool it. This is Frisky's league and he does a damned good job running it.

Actually, updates remind people they have games to play. I guess you'd rather procrastinate and have people not play their games or both...

It hasn't been a problem before. Your attitude has been nothing, but poor since joining the league. You were an ass to a new member of the site who joined the league and constantly complain about people not playing before the deadline. Shut up and just play your games.

This league has had one season which began in the end of July. I've run 2 Madden (draft leagues at that) which have completed 2 seasons in less time. Just saying, keep your opinions to yourself.

Just calm down, guys. We're moving at a good enough pace that we don't need to be rushing people along. There's a storm going on at the moment here, so I may not play tonight since the lights have been fluctuating a bit for the past hour or so. It'll happen before the deadline, so try to keep the backseat commissioner stuff to a minimum and let people play their games, seen.
You can play it now, but if he gets his system back, I can reset the game so you can actually play each other.
They have had my Xbox since Saturday, I remember the last time I RROD, it was delivered, "repaired", and shipped back on the same day. Anybody have a RROD that took this long for them to start shipping back before? They usually just send back a referb anyway right?

Frisky, has had this league running since NCAA 2009 and I do believe this is the 4th season. I enjoy it quite a bit ;)

Finished my game against Oregon. Absolutely destroyed them with a 44-3 win as my defense stepped up big and shut down their running game while making big plays to keep Oregon from getting too close to scoring. I knocked out their QB and WR, so that helped a bit in the second half.

Now I think drunknmunkys is the last one with a game to play.

He still hasn't been on CAG but has been playing NCAA for the past few nights and didn't respond to a message I sent him there. If he intended to play his game, I do not understand why he has not done so already.

With the faster schedule would it be possible to get like one extension per user or something? I don't have anything planned yet, but when I go home for Christmas I don't want to have to take a sim loss if I'm not around. Also, say if I'm not around it might be nice to just bump me and let me opponent beat the CPU so they don't get a sim loss if I don't treat the deadlines properly too.

The race of the BCS Championship is off and it's had its first victims as #2 Oklahoma and #3 Penn State have fallen to their challenging Week 2 match-ups. In a surprise twist, #4 Rutgers only moved to #3 as Georgia Tech, their fellow SEC competitor, jumps up from the #6 spot to the top contender spot for the BCS Championship game. The losers of the week go to Oregon, who dropped from #14 to #22 after a second loss in a row to start off their season, and Nebraska, who fell out of the Top 25 completely. That allowed NC State to pop in at the #25 spot.

The top three spots of the Heisman Watch are the same this week while the two remaining indicates that Texas is trying to stage a coup on the Heisman watch this week. Sherrod Harris, Texas' QB, is now at the #4 spot while another of his receivers, Dan Buckner, has taken the fifth spot.

Sherrod Harris has earned National Offensive Player of the Week, and SEC Offensive Player of the Week, honors again this week with a big win over Oklahoma to earn their #1 ranking in the coaches poll. Georgia Tech's Jason Peters earned the SEC Defensive Player of the Week award this week with a big game against Georgia.

This week features several big games to help kick off the SEC schedules for a few SEC teams. #1 Texas and #3 Rutgers face off to see who deserves to stay undefeated while #5 Florida and #13 Ohio State try to put their names into the hat for title contender with a big win. #2 Georgia Tech gets a chance to keep their name on file for a title shot when they face unranked Miami. Other big match-ups include #21 USC taking on rival #8 Cal, #12 West Virginia at #17 LSU, #14 Georgia at #16 Virginia Tech, and #9 Ole Miss at #19 Utah.

Here's the schedule for this week:

Tennessee at Michigan State (XXXplosive1)
Texas (Frankysox) at Rutgers (BigAT4)
Miami (drunknmunkys) at Georgia Tech (S3anAmI)
USC (seen) at Cal
West Virginia at LSU (DarkTower80)
UCF at South Florida (JustnCredible29)
Florida (Ultimate Matt X) at Ohio State (FriskyTanuki)

Ok, I sent drunknmunkys a XBL message and Im posting here, since hes already missed a game and has not been on CAG in several days, How long should I wait before playing against the CPU Frisky?

BigAt, when do you want to get this ass kicking over with? Hopefully I can give you a good game but I don't have my hopes up. I'm available anytime after 730 est time tonight, or late tomorrow. Otherwise we'd have to do Tuesday.

I probably can't do tonight since I'm having a party at my place for my friend's birthday. How late is late tomorrow? I can do either significantly before the Sunday Night (Giants) game or after.

Let me know on Monday night if he hasn't gotten in contact with you and I'll change him to CPU.

Ok I can definitely be on by the time the Giants game is over tomorrow. They play at 8:20 est right? So if it works for you to play once that concludes lets just plan on that.

I'm here. I logged on twice and the dynasty wasn't updating for me. Deleted the file, re-downloaded, but it was back to at the beginning of week one. Been meaning to ask about it the last few days but I'm currently moving and kept forgetting about it. Let me know when you want to play.
He still hasn't been on CAG but has been playing NCAA for the past few nights and didn't respond to a message I sent him there. If he intended to play his game, I do not understand why he has not done so already.
I didn't see your message. I was logged on playing, but I wasn't getting the updated dynasty file for some reason so I was just playing my offline dynasty.

Just to update everybody, which I should have done last week, sorry, I'm moving out of my apartment Friday and going back to GA as well as finishing up an internship so things have been very hectic. That being said I am still around, and I'm sorry about not posting earlier about the reason I hadn't played my game yet.

I can play anytime, Im off school for break. Tell me a time you can play as you seem to have commitments.
I added you as a friend on XBL as well.

Well, I just had a game which left me with a hard coaching decision! My starting QB got hurt in the 1st quarter and my backup came in and lit up UCF for 400 yards of total offense. BJ struggled big time against Neb and Fsu, but pulled out both wins with huge plays. UCF isn't near the same team as those two, but I put up 65 freaking points against them with my backup who has a rocket arm. Now with the meat of my schedule ahead I must decide who to start against FL. Arghh, I love and hate this game so much at times like this.

Frisky, let me know what day works for you. I might be around tomorrow, but have some Madden games and other stuff to get out of the way. Monday should be good though.

I've got a friend coming over to help me move furniture soon, but after that I'm free so sometime in the early evening? Say, 6? (CST)
