CAGcast #44: The Other Reggie

Another great show. I really think you guys are on a roll here. And this might be easy for me to say, but I would love if one of you guys got a PS3 at launch so as to discuss it on the CAGcast. But hey, a TGS show is good enough for me.

A sign of a good show is when you always look forward to the next one. I always look for your commentaries on recent events and as always you guys deliver.

Wombat I still feel the Wii controller is way too overpriced and Wii Sports will support 4 players so even if you only get 3 extra wiimotes without nunchucks (since the nunchuck is not required for Wii Sports) that's still close to $400 just to have 4 player Wii Sports sessions, too much in my eyes. You make a valid point on the future peripherals but that's speculating, the here and now indicates Nintendo got too greedy pricing the Wiimote.

CheapyD good luck with the Japanese course. How any westerners are able to grasp such a distinct language from ours is amazing.

Plenty of games "announced" are going to support 4 players, including Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Final Fantasy CC, and others. And Wii sports is a PACK-IN, and it supports 4 players. :roll:

But otherwise great podcast. Love it! :O :applause:

Wombat, as for Marvel Ultime Alliance. Don't get your hopes up, they only have a year to make it and a bunch of guys quit. T__t;;
But I know it'll be a fun night when 3 of my friends rush through it in 3 hours, as we did with the last two X-men action-RPGs.

NIce Cagcast.
It wasn't great but it wasnt terrible like the "jimmy the icon" and "chris from kotaku" podcasts.
I was really eager to here your impressions on the Wii but I thought you guys really dropped the bal on in depth wii coverage.
I really thought you were going to go back and forth with the merits of the price and the remotes.
What about the weak ass launch lineup?
Seems like the best you had was the fact that the peripherals will plug into the usb remote which "may" cause the peripherals to be cheap.
EHHH...I was hoping for more intriguing stuff.
Like what games would you buy with the wii? Rayman, Zelda, Is there anything else really worth cags hard earned money?

On another note, Wombat plays oblivion more than anyone I know. There so many games out here I just think that at some point the enjoyment would start to wain.

Great show as always, guys. It's kind of sad that half the reason I want a 360 is so that I can better relate to the CAGcast.

Holy crap, I didn't realize how much the Wii controllers will cost. Sure, it's not really much more expensive than the Xbox 360 wireless ones, but I thought those were too damn much too.

Oh well, I probably won't get one until next year anyways.

Thank you for making my drive to school not suck. I do disagree that Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime is a "baby game". While it isn't a traditional DQ RPG, it is fun in it's own right and should be at least rented before passing judgement. Granted I was stoked about being a slime from the get go, but still. Poor Zelda's furry ass. Can't wait for the next show.

I thought Cheapy was turning emo while talking about getting a PS3, but he snapped out when he decided to table it until later. Anyways, good show can't wait for the TGS one.

I think Cheapy should definitely wait in line for the PS3. Record some interviews (with people who speak English) and your observations while you wait. Edit it together into "The CAGCast PS3 Japanese Regional Release Spectacular Special".

Although this would be a lot of work and boredom, Cheapy would get a PS3 (hopefully) and there would be a noteworthy Cagcast that might garner links from other gaming sites. Maybe.

Just do it. It's like a Morning Zoo stunt only longer, more work, and probably less funny.

Another compelling listen! Plenty of good laughs and good discussion on some critical issues facing the world today (i.e., Wii launch). More, more, more!!
